Peter walked into his father's Harvard lab to see the man dripping a clear liquid onto a mouse.

"Walter," The younger man sighed and looked around at Olivia's lab assistant to see her staring, perplexed at the white animal.

"Son, have you ever seen a mouse with even the smallest bit of cocaine in their system? It's fascinating." Peter sighed again, rolling his eyes at the man before him.

"Walter, where did you even get...?" The young prodigy sat on a chair near his father and made sure the scientist didn't overdose the poor rodent.

"Actually, you know what? I don't even want to know." he said, sighing once again.

"You know, Peter, I've noticed something." Walter said, not looking up from the drugged, now twitching, mouse. Peter waited for his father to elaborate, but the older man didn't say anything to expend on his epiphany.

"What's that?" He finally asked, slightly afraid to know.

"You sigh often, and that seems to happen more when you are talking to me. Why do you think that is, Astrid?" Agent Farnsworth looked shocked by Walter's asking, but simply shrugged.

The scientist looked back at his experiment and started speaking again.

"What do you think, Olivia?" he asked, still staring at the mouse as Peter's eyes traveled up, already on alert, when he saw that Olivia had in fact, come into the lab unnoticed.

"It's just his way of saying he loves you, Walter." Olivia shared a look with her friend and grinned, hoping Walter hadn't caught the sarcastic tone of her words.

"Yeah, Walter, it's that." Peter smiled back at Olivia, and winked.

"Somehow, I doubt that, son." Walter smiled at the group in his lab, and chuckled lightly.
