Okay, this is my first fanfic. I'm not really skilled at this yet, so give me some slack. This is set about the time before the wedding, so between Eclipse and the beginning of Breaking Dawn.

"Emmett McCarty Cullen! Get yourself down here right this instant!" I felt a second of remorse for telling Esme, but seriously- Emmett was fraying my last nerve.

Now, don't get me wrong- I love my big brother to death- but I needed him to stop. With me being human and all, I did no good trying to reprimand him because he would just pick on me. Alice, Jasper, and Edward would only try to pick a fight. Carlisle was at work. Rosalie-well- Rosalie didn't really like me all that much. Esme was the perfect choice. She could make him cower with her words alone because she was the motherly figure of the household.

Emmett made it downstairs, mumbling some nonsense about it not being him that broke the vase. Ohh, I'm pretty sure Esme didn't know about that. It'll make her doubly mad! Emmett's really going to get it now.

"What about my vase?" Esme asked, her voice dangerously low.

"Well, uh, see... Esme, I can explain... Me and Rose... Well, uh... We were messing around and we kinda, sorta knocked it down without realizing it. I'm so so-" He started to apologize but was cut off by Esme.

"Which vase, Emmett?"

"Uhmm... The black one with the white flowers on it?" His statement sounded more like a question than anything.

"What?!" Esme all but shrieked. "That was my favorite vase! And here I was thinking I was just going to scold you for harassing Bella, but no. Now i have to hear about my vase, too. This is just not my day." I felt kind of bad for her, being the mother figure of hundred year old vampires still acting like teenagers.

Now, one thing you need to know about Esme is that when she gets angry, she gives a mean punishment, and boy, was she mad.

"Emmett, you know what you did to Bella, and now my prized vase. Do you want to know what your punishment is?"

"Ah, uhmm... Sure, Mom." Oh, the suck up. He's trying to get in her good graces and keep from getting punished worse. I don't really care if he gets punished; I just want him to stop.

"You are not to touch Rosalie in any way for the next month."

"Oh, come on! Mom, anything but that!"

"Exactly why I'm doing that."

At that exact moment, Jasper walked into the room- holding the vase. "Hey, Esme. I found this vase on the floor and thought you might want to put it up somewhere. I fixed it first, though."

Esme took the vase from hi and smiled radiantly at him, saying a thank you.

Emmett took that moment to start making a case for himself. "Look, Esme, it's fixed- good as new. I shouldn't be punished as bad. Come on! Please, please, please?" He did this weird puppy dog thing with his eyes that was just weird to see on a guy Emmett's size.

"All right, Emmett. Your full punishment is removed." The look of relief that crossed his face nearly sent me into hysterics, but it was the next thing and the way Esme said it that sent me over the edge.

"But if I hear you've been putting Bella's underwear on your head and running around with it on, I'll proceed to fulfill the punishment."

Review and let me know what you think. Should I write more stories? Should I just give up? Opinions would be nice. :)
