I don't own Star Trek or any of the characters!

Also, I would like to give the credit of the basic idea for this story to Three Faint Calls who wrote a few sentences on a similar scenario in the story "The Lists".

Kirk sighed happily leaning back in his chair, and eating an apple. He liked apples a lot he realized. They seemed to give everything a casual relaxed air. I mean who could be tense while chewing as crunchy sweet fruit and spiting juice all over the place? But the apple wasn't the only reason why he was extremely happy. The other reason why he was quite amused was Spock. The point-eared half Vulcan was at his post, analyzing his data.

Kirk glanced at Spock and tried to hide a grin. He glanced at Sulu who raised his eyebrows quickly. They both nearly broke down in laughter. The half Vulcan had no idea that taped to the back of his shirt was a nice white piece of paper with the words, "Do not disturb. Occupied with Uhura" written on it. Kirk had managed to convince one of the ensigns to place the paper there while he occupied Spock.

Spock turned towards Kirk and said in his normal flat tones, "Sir, it seems as if everything is in order. Would you like to contact Command for further orders?"

Kirk had to stop himself from grinning to boldly, "It's fine Commander. Why don't you just go relax a bit? You know, have 'fun'." Kirk wiggled his eyebrows and everyone else in the room had to stop themselves from cracking up. The air was suddenly full of quite coughs. Spock raised one eyebrow.

"I am quite fine Captain. However, I would recommend you take a break, it seems a while since you rested." Spock answered. Kirk grinned. For some reason, the rest of the crew very quickly occupied themselves with their work.

"Thanks for the consideration." Kirk took another bite of the apple and turned to hide his grin. Just then Uhura walked in.

She went to take her seat and then noticed Spock. He had turned back to his work. She read the paper on his back and dispite her fury at Kirk couldn't contain a grin. Then her fury took over. She whirled to face Kirk. "What is the meaning of this, Captain?" She asked angrily.

Kirk grinned cheekily at her, "I've got no idea what you are referring to, Lieutenant."

"Oh, yes you do! You know exactly what I mean." She scowled and walked over to Spock. Spock stood up and raised an eyebrow at her. "Lieutenant?" He inquired. Kirk could have sworn that Spock's eyes glimmered with love for a second.

"Commander, it appears that the Captain has been pulling a rather cruel joke at your expense." She told Spock. Then she turned him around and ripped the piece of paper off his back. She held it up for his inspection. Spock raised an eyebrow and turned to look at Kirk.

Kirk tried to look innocent but then gave up and laughed heartily. "Something wrong, Commander?" He asked cheekily.

Something flashed in Spock's eyes, "Oh, nothing at all. So that was one of the reasons for the sounds of amusement I was hearing." His eyebrows rose. "I thought it was for a different reason." He stated plainly, and Kirk could have sworn there was sarcasm in his voice.

The whole room cracked up. Uhura grinned widely at Kirk. Kirk looked confused at the room, "What's so funny?"

"Nothing. It would be illogical for anything the deck to be amusing." Spock answered with such innocence that Kirk immediately suspected something.

Then it hit him, "Oh no." He groaned. He reached over his back and tugged the paper off. His jaw clenched as he read it, "Making out with Bones, be back in an hour" it stated in clear bold writing. Kirk glared towards Spock. "You pointy-eared bastard." He muttered.
