AN: HIYA! Second story FTW! This one is dedicated to my Yuffie I met at a convention recently. We decided that YuffieXRiku is the ULTIMATE Crack pairing. So enjoy the Crack fun!

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters, they belong to SquareEnix I believe ^__^

Yuffie slumped into her seat in the cafe; it had not been her day. Cloud had taken her Materia for 'safe-keeping' and Leon had been in a terrible mood all week so he hadn't wanted to play with her. Pouting she lifted the menu and scanned across the prices, she didn't have the munny to eat here, hell she could barely afford a cup of coffee.

"Dammit" she cursed under her breath, setting the menu down she concocted several ways to earn herself a cup of coffee from the gullible looking waitress before her thought process was interrupted by hand slamming down on the table in front of her. Yuffie jumped, she had been caught in her reverie and hadn't had her guard up, and now Leon was standing over her with a face like thunder.

"Where the hell have the Materia that were in my bottom drawer gone?" Leon growled, leaning forward into her face using his hand on the table for support.

"Well, there was this giant chocobo that ran into your house," Yuffie exclaimed as she swiftly got to her feet, using wild hand gestures to distract Leon from the shuriken she was pulling from her pocket. "so i ran after, It was massive Leon, you shoulda seen it! But see, when i got there it had totally eaten all the Materia!" Leon looked incredulously at her and shook his head before the table collapsed underneath his weight and the fact that Yuffie had subtly just tossed her shuriken at one of the legs and cut it out from underneath him. Leon landed in a rather ungraceful heap on floor at Yuffie's feet.

"See ya later!" she chirped, making a peace sign next to her eye before making herself scare from the crime scene.

Riku slipped down the back alley and ran as fast as he could, the sound of his feet pounding the pavement seemed to mirror his heartbeat, increasing evermore with the proximity of the darkness. He could feel the wall of darkness surging up behind him, pulling him in like it had been doing every second of every day since he left it behind to help Sora. As he picked up his speed his looked up and noticed for the first time the wall in front of him and the sharp left the alley took in about 10 paces. Without missing a beat he skidded around the corner and began to push off with his right foot when he found he couldn't move it. The effort he used to force himself forward caused him to topple forward, twisting in the air he got his first look at the darkness, a malevolent creature clawing at his being and trying to draw him back to the way he used to be. After what felt like an age, his head hit the pavement and the darkness swallowed him up, draping him in his black cloak and taking all his light away.

And that's where Riku woke up, on the pavement in a back alley. Ever since he had left Sora in Destiny Islands and come back to Radiant Garden he'd been having fainting spells and the same feeling that the darkness was haunting him, trying to take him back. With a sigh Riku climbed to his feet and fixed his hair. He'd been heading towards the park to calm down, he'd been missing home and all the people there, but he had things to do to make it up to all the people he'd let down when he turned his back on the light. Trudging on towards the end of the alley opened up into a wide open space of green grass and blue skies.

"The world as it should be" Riku muttered to himself as he wandered into the sea of green and lay down on the grass. Folding his hands behind his head Riku gazed up at the eerily blue sky and let his thoughts drift towards the darkness and the pain it had caused in his life. That was before he was trampled on by a passing ninja.
