Fathers Day

A/N; "I did one for Eva, so now, time for Sparda!!"

Sparda lay at his desk. Drinking his morning tea, reading his book. He had the home to himself when Eva took the boys out for a little while. He was relaxed, not hearing Dante teasing Vergil, not hearing Vergil tease Dante back, not hearing Eva scream for his help, which he would ignore.

Sparda was determined to finish this book. No distractions! Nothing!

That was until Cerby came and started scratching at his desk. Sparda sighed and got up and went to feed him, thirty minutes passed and Cerby came back. He sighed deeper and went and took him for a speedy walk, poor Cerby felt as if he was being chocked. As soon as Sparda ran upstairs the doorbell rang. He wanted to scream, threaten to beat the population to a bleedin' pump!

"Yes?" Sparda answered in his most possible calm voice.

"Delivery." The postman said. Sparda took the package he bought and signed for it. He placed it on the table and ran back upstairs. He continued to read his book in peace!

Half way through his chapter and he heard the doorbell ring again, he sighed, got up and took his sweet time going downstairs. He stared into the peephole and saw it was that old woman who insisted on coming by and get him sucked into an hours chat! He didn't open the door, but stayed quiet till she left.

When she got bored and left to bother someone else, Sparda went back to his book. Continued to read. Cerby came in, Sparda was about to throw the dog out into the pond.

"What is it now?" He said in a venomous type of tone. Cerby looked adorable and placed a plastic green ball, gently by his foot. Sparda had an idea.. he grabbed the ball, threw it with all his force and it went in the backyard, the puppy stupidly went after it.

Sparda went and continued to read his book, Cerby came back, covered in dirt ball in mouth. He just stayed wide eyed. He went put Cerby in a bath, scrubbed him down till he was a clean puppy again and set him in the living room. Sparda went back up and closed the door.

The doorbell rang yet again, Sparda didn't go to answer. Outside, Eva was carrying a lot of things so was her sons. They waited for their father, he didn't show up.

"Sparda!!" Eva yelled. Sparda looked out from the window and saw his family he sighed. Went down, and opened the door.

His family got in and he knew he wont have any time to read his book. It was fathers day wasn't it? He wanted to spend it reading.

At dinner, the family had some grins, though Sparda didn't notice he was too busy eating. When Dinner was over. Eva went all happy to go get some things.

He awaited as his family went away. Sighed and started to tap his foot.

"HAPPY FATHERS DAY!" They all yelled as chorus. Sparda's hair nearly went flying back.

Eva placed a hug on his head, the boys hugged him tight. He felt happy, smiled a big grin and hugged them all.

"Thank you, my family."

"Open up your gift dad." Dante said.

Sparda opened the first one that was from Dante. It was a digital watch, dark purple and it glows in the dark, with it a purple book mark decorated with red and blue spots. He smiled and hugged him, Vergil gave him his, it was a book he wanted and hugged him too.

Eva gave him hers, it was a tie, a purple one, it was quite beautiful. He soon forgot about his book, and smiled.

'I love Fathers Day...' Sparda thought as he dozed off into sleep, dreaming about his family.
