Quinn Ely stood at the front of the church. His younger brother, Jake, beside him, and on Jake's other side, his oldest brother Kit.
The Organ behind them pumped out soft music. The large wooden double doors at the start of the isle were pulled open.
After the flower girls, came the first bridesmaid, Quinn's little sister Savannah. A beautiful long blue long dress was wrapped around her young lithe body.
The second bridesmaid, Karly Winters, wore a dress the same shade as Savannah's, but with a slightly more mature cut. Then, Came Jennifer Kenworthy. The maid of honor. She wore a gown of the same cut as Karly's, but a deeper shade of blue.
Finally-he thought the moment would never come-, the organ started playing the wedding march. All the wedding guests stood and turned to get a better look at the young bride.
Samantha Ann Forster-soon to be Ely- walked down the isle on her father's arm.
Quinn's breath hitched in his throat, his heart raced, and his palms became sweaty.
She was breathtaking.
Sam was clothed in a long, flowing white gown. The gown hugged her upper body, and at the hips started bellowing out slightly. The fabric was silky and rich, smooth and soft to the touch. The neckline made a half circle, her shoulders were half bare, the sleeves starting on the lower part of her shoulder, and went down snugly almost to her elbow, then dropping in flowing, soft sleeves. Reaching to her waist.
Her auburn hair was twisted up at top of her slim neck, with soft ringlets falling around her ears and a few flowing softly over her forehead. In her hands, she held a tastefully sized bouquet of white roses, with a few red and pink roses carefully placed throughout.
This is it. Quinn thought as Sam and Wyatt got closer. Wyatt lifted her vial and kissed her cheek.
"Take good care of her." He said, as her surrendered Sam's hand to Jake. Jake nodded and looked down at Sam lovingly. She looked up at Jake, with a smile gracing her slightly painted lips.
Quinn wished for all the world that Wyatt had given him Sam's hand, and that Sam would smile at him like that. Looking at him with her beautiful eyes, now filled with such love, respect, and adoration for another.
"I now pronounce you, Mister and Misses Jakob Elijah Ely." Quinn heard the pastor speak. He hadn't realized how wrapped up in his daydreams about what he wished could have happened he was. He had totally missed the vows, not that he really wanted to hear Sam tell of her undying love for his kid brother per say.
Quinn averted his eyes as Sam and Jake shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Sure he'd seem them kiss before, heck, he saw them making out just last night at the rehearsal dinner when they thought no one could see them in a dark corner. This was different though.
This was final. It was official now. The deal was set. Quinn would never be able to charm Sam into falling for him, not that he could before. At least it wasn't set in stone then.
After the kiss was over-he thought they'd never detach their lips from the other's- he looked up and watched them walk back down the isle. Hand in hand. Husband and wife. Two become one.
Quinn gave his arm to Savannah and followed after the happy newlyweds. Once again, wishing for all the world that he was Jake.
