Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. I ain't never gonna own it either. I do however own this plot.
Hermione and Draco were outside on the Hogwarts' grounds after it had snowed a full week over the beautiful castle.
The Whomping Willow was glazed in ice. Constant freezing prevented the tree from moving and breaking the ice. The Qudditch Pitch goals were practically bubble wands. The circular middle was a thin piece of ice frozen in mid-air.
Walking the grounds, Hermione thought it would be a good idea to engage Draco in a civilized conversation. Nodding to herself she said, "Draco, do you know what a snowball fight is?"
Draco looked at the witch. Racking his brain, he mentally re-checked all of his Muggle Studies notes. "Yes! A snowball fight is when Muggles throw snow or frozen precipitation at each other to have fun. Dangerous results include frost-bitten hands or fingers."
Hermione looked at Draco and nodded. Bending down she scooped up snow into her gloved hands and bunched it into a ball.
Draco looked at her confused. Even though he knew the mechanics of snowball fights, he had no idea how to make a snowball.
Raising back her hand, Hermione threw the ball of white, powdery, snow and ran away from Draco, who was now bending down and shoveling snow into one of his gloves.
Running into the castle, Hermione took three flights of stairs and turned to the right into the Gryffindor Common Room where Harry and Ron were playing a game of Exploding Snap.
"Hide me Harry!" Hermionse squeled as she pulled Harry out of his seat and in front of her.
"What happened Hermione!?" Harry asked frantically. Panting she gasped out Draco's name.
Harry and Ron stared at her. "You ran in here, telling me to hide you, making me think, that another Voldemort, has just burst threw the gates of Hogwarts', to hide you from Malfoy?" Harry gritted out.
Hermione nodded. Harry pointed to the girls' bathroom.
"You mind as well hide in there and lock the doors because I am not hiding you from Malfoy, Hermione."
Hermione narrowed her eyes at Harry, but stopped and ran for the bathroom door when the Portrait swung open.
Draco looked around the Gryffindor Common Room and spotted a furious looking Harry and a stunned Ron. Walking over, he didn't even have to ask as Harry pointed toward the bathroom door.
Nodding his thanks, he muttered the unlocking spell and saw Hermione in the edge of the bathroom.
Walking over he pulled her into a hug. She seemed to be shivering.
"Are you actually scared that I would do something to get you back?" Draco asked her.
Hermione nodded and said, "You are a Slytherin, are you not?" Draco chuckled and nodded.
"And that's exactly what I do."
Draco pulled out the glove and pulled the collar of Hermione's shirt upwards and dumped the snow into her shirt and down her back.
Jumping away from him, Hermione shook the rest of the snow out of her shirt and off her back.
"You'll pay for that Malfoy."
