Sunshine
16 year old Maka Albarn walked into the kitchen after her mourning shower and started to gather up food for breakfast. She was feeling particularly bouncy today and decided she'd cook French Toast to go with the eggs and bacon instead of just plain toast. After getting the batter together she decided to turn the radio on for some background noise. Just as she had put a few pieces in the pan to cook a song she'd heard a few times came on.
Wake up to blue sky,
Grab your shades and
let's go for a ride.
Maka began to sway slightly to tune.
Breakfast by the ocean
We'll do lunch at Sunset and Vine
Everyday's a dream in California
Every-night the stars come out to play
Wish that I could always
Feel this way
Unbeknownst to Maka she had begun to quietly sing along, "There's something about the sunshine, baby. I'm seeing you in a whole new light. Outta this world for the first time, baby. Ohhh, It's alright."
Maka continue to sing as she cooked. Once the French Toast was done she cracked some eggs into a pan along with the bacon.
"It's all about the shoppin' from Melrose to Beverly Hills. Every where's a scene and now we're in it, I don't want to paint the town alone. When I see your smile I always feels at home," Maka smiled as her mind wandered to someone.
Soul Eater Evans woke to not the smell of bacon, eggs, and French Toast but to the singing of Maka. He smirked as his thought turned to her. Soul got up and popped his back before opening his door slightly to watch Maka. He raised an eyebrow as watched Maka dance around the kitchen, after placing their food on the table.
Maka grabbed the spatula she had been using and began to sing into it, unaware of her audience, "There's something about the sunshine, baby. I'm seeing you in a whole new light. Outta this world for the first time, Baby. Ohhh, It's alright," Make jumped as two arms wrapped around her and a voice started to sing into her ear.
"There's something about the sunshine, Baby. I'm seeing you in a whole new light. LA's a breeze with the palm tree swaying. Ohh, it's alright." Soul then kissed Maka on the cheek, "Can wake up to you singing every morning?"
Maka rolled her eyes, "Go get your food, I'll think about it." She then gave him a quick peck on the lips.
I thought the song fit and to think I'm only on episode 5 and I've already written a fic. Anywho, hope you enjoyed it. R&R!
