A/N: So I saw this movie about two weeks ago and thought it was adorable. This is more of a scene than a story; it tries to explain what's going through Randy's head after her and Evie kiss for the first time. Hope you enjoy it!
A/N 2: Some dialogue taken from script-o-rama
A/N 3: I do not own this movie or the line 'I sing the body electric.'
Randy lay on the bed, trying to focus on the book she was reading. "I sing the body electric." She giggled as she remembered the taste of Evie's lips on hers. She grinned, then clapped a hand over her mouth, trying to get serious.
"Okay…I sing the body electric…" she giggled again, grinning from ear to ear as she recalled the feel of Evie's hands in hers. Soft, warm, supple…the feel of her hands in Evie's had been comforting. And the cool thing about it was that Evie hadn't been afraid at all. It was refreshing, having someone who wasn't afraid, who understood.
Randy sighed, her eyes landing on the book in front of her. She placed the tip of her finger under the line, preparing to read it again…only to have Evie's face pop into her head. She giggled as she pictured Evie's closed eyes, replaying the scene in her mind: the hand holding, the kissing, giggling as they took the gum out of their mouths so they could kiss more effectively. Randy giggled again, collapsing onto the bed. "Oh my God!"
She rolled over, giggling uncontrollably as she read the line once more. "I sing the body electric! I sing the body electric!" She grabbed the book, rolling off the bed. "Aah!"
She landed on the floor with a soft thud, the book clutched to her chest. She rolled over onto her back, supporting the back of her head with her backpack. "Oh Evie; that kiss…that kiss was amazing." She grinned broadly, tears slowly rolling down her cheeks. "I love you Evie, I love you."
