As two combatants stood ready to fight they stood there... Unmoving... Untwitching... Waiting for teh other to move first. these two combatants were Jade the Hedgecario and Trip the Echidna time traveler.
Jade's ear gave a single twitch and she said, "It's time for one of us to die".
Trip responded with, "How do you think Noel'll feel after either one of us die?"
"You have no right to talk about my sister!", Jade yelled furious at the bringing up of her sister-in-law.
Trip slyly smiled and slowly pulled out a Medevil knight's sword. Jade pulled out her Japanese longsword, which was much different than a normal japanese longsword would normally be. Jade's sword was black throughout with a silver razor sharp edge. She gripped it with the intent to win. They got into position and waited. A green hedgebat floated up above them and looked at the two combatants. The hedgebat said. "Combatants ready?! On your mark... Get set... Fight!!!".
At those final words the two combatants lunged at each other. Jade gaining an advantage from her sword being slim and agile, but Trip had a sword strength advantage. The first clash of swords occured and sparks flew. The two combatants started swinging their blades with the intent to kill one anotehr but each time they blocked each others attacks until...
Jade's sword cut Trip's cheek. She smiled at her first blow, but just as soon as she smiled a punch was thrown at her. Thinking quickly she ducked and tried to deliver an uppercut to Trip's stomach, but was stopped and kneed in her own stomach by Trip. She coughed up a small bit of blood, then was kicked back and sprawling on the ground.
She got up found she had dropped her sword. She looked at Trip and he had abandoned his sword for spiked gloves. She ran at him as he ran at her and ignited energy on her fists forming energy boxing gloves. They started trading blows neither getting the upper hand until Jade gutpunched Trip then uppercutted him backwards. He got up.
He said looking like he broke a small sweat, "Not bad... Now I know why you're the strategist of your Uncle's army. such," he cracked his neck, "energy control."
"You know... Nothing about me...", Jade said panting. Her recent amnesia had broken her body's stamina among other stats. She wasn't used to fighting at the moment and was still trying to get everything in her mind sorted out.
"Heh heh. Getting tired already?! You're pathetic!!!", Trip said smiling confidentally.
Jade started feeling dizzy and knew she had used up the energy that her body had allowed her to use while she was recovering from amnesia... She almost blacked out, but somehow kept concious. Trip casually walked towards Jade picking up Jade's sword with one hand and his own sword with the other hand. Jade found herself unable to stand and fell to her knees.
"Stop... For... One moment...", She said
"Why should I?"
"Reason why I challenged you wasn't to fight to the death... I challanged you to see if you were strong enough to be able to protect Noel..."
