There are times when the lines seem to blur and everything is a shade of gray. So many moments you crave black and {white}, if only to define the uncertain boundaries. But you'd never truly want clean-cut black and {white} world, because that would mean giving up your rainbow. Your amber eyes fill with tears whenever you sit up at night thinking of the rainbow you've created.

Josh Hotz kisses you with his red lips as your back hits one of the library shelves.

The fact you two are only together in secret should be a warning sign, to him and to you. But you both just close you eyes and lets your lips crash together again, pretending to not realize or notice. You kiss him deeply but soon in your head you will see the red, red, blood bleeding hearts bleed.

Dempsey playfully wracks you with his orange backpack as you two flirt in the hallway.

It's all giggle and laughs and easy chuckles as you two exchange familiar banter. The witty jokes and clever comebacks make you feel warm and fuzzy, but it won't take long for everything to close in and feel too warm, slightly hot. For the burn of the orange flame that's going to lick your tempted fingers when all the secrets come undone.

Chris Plovert brushes aside his yellow hair before giving you the biggest smile as you sit down in biology.

Cute notes and playful lover letters, sly glances and hidden smiles. Have you no mortality? Of course you do, but its hard isn't it? When you feel so sucked into the golden yellow sunshine that he seems to carry around with him. But nothing gold can stay.

Kemp twirls you around his deep green eyes focused on your as you two dance under the stars.

You dress wrap around you legs as you spin in and out under glowing sparkles in the sky. You feel at peace in his arms but, eventually you'll feel the green monster of jealous crawl in when the lies are revealed for what tehy've been.

Cam passes you his blue I-pod as you both swing on the swings at the park.

You place a earbud in your ear and a kiss on his cheek. Another sweet little melody plays but all you'll hear soon is empty loniness. The great blue sky full of wonder is already turning gray.

Derrick waves to you from the field while his purple knees shake in the November cold.

You wave back screaming his name and jumping up and down on the bleachers but already you feel like jumping off a cliff. Your smile's waving in but no one can tell, you're finally feeling it. The deep, deep feeling you get when your trapped in lies and secrets, like a dark purple storm. It's no longer mystic and sparkling but dark and daunting and scary. The color of the bruise you've given yourself with out realizing.

They're the colors of your world. There are so many of them, but you're selfish and you can't chose. You need them all. You know how wrong it is. This isn't art class you can't play with all the colors and mix them up as you please. This is life and in the end everybodies going to have a broken heart. But at the same time you don't have the discipline to force a choice you don't want to make. Not yet, not while you can still have everything.

It may be a rainbow, but it's also a black hole waiting to swallow everyone's heart.
