Lavender Lilies

Minnie Brower stood at the corner, thinking about her life at home. Her younger brother, Ray, ran away from the house again but he'll come back. He always does. Her older sister, Rose, keeps bringing guys to the house and they keep Minnie up all night. Her older brother, Roger, is finally protecting her from their dad when they steal his beers and throw them away.

All I need is my mom and then we'll have the whole fucked up family, Minnie thought. Why did you have to go to Togas? I can't see you every weekend. God, I hate my life.

She swiped angrily at her tears. She would have run if she could see but her tears were blocking her vision. A familiar engine noise pierced the night air as she cried at the corner.

"Hey Minnie," She knew that gravelly voice. She used to be best friend-even liked- the person until' she found out that he slept with her sister.

"Get away from me," She said, swiping at her tears.

"Now why would I want to do that?" He touched her shoulder and she flinched away. He sighed, frustrated, and pulled her into a hug. She struggled, trying to get away from him but she stopped and wept into his chest.

"You slept with my sister," She pounded her fist on his chest. His hands stayed in place on her back, not wondering anywhere. "You left me out in the rain…" She cried even harder as she felt him tense up. "You let him rape me!" She shouted. He let tears fall from his eyes and into her hair.

"I'm sorry," He mumbled, the tears were waterfalls on both their faces.

"You said that last time!" She broke free of his embrace and stared at him. "You always say I'm sorry and then you let someone do something to me or you just screw me over!"

"I said I was sorry!" His voice was cracking with emotions he's never voiced before. "I said I was sorry, okay?"

"Sorry doesn't cut it anymore!" Minnie shouted. She ran into the street and was instantly hit by a car. He rushed to her side, picking up her body in his arms gently.

"Minnie… Oh Minnie," He cried. Her eyes opened and her last words rang in his head for his entire life.

2 YEARS LATER

Her last words pierced his heart as he looked at her grave. For two years, he came by her grave everyday to talk to her. He took a deep breath and a tear slipped down his face.

"Roger is real sorry that he ran you over. He couldn't take it so he killed himself. It's a shame, really. Ray got hit by a train and he's dead now. Rose is the only Brower kid left now. She's holding up real well; she stopped sleeping with guys. She started getting an alcohol addiction but I helped her stop. I'm doing real good. My dad and I got into another fight so he won't be back for a while. I… I'm trying to be nicer now. To girls at least. I got you some flowers. Your favorites: Lavender lilies." He put the flowers on her grave. A tear fell on the flowers and he stood up.

"I have to go. I love you, Minnie," He walked away from her grave and into his car. As he drove away, her last words rang in his head.

You let him hit me, Ace…

A/N: I hope you guys enjoyed that. So, her older brother Roger hit her with the car and he killed himself. Then Ray got hit by a train and Rose is the only Brower kid. Ace is the guy Minnie was crying to in the beginning.

I just wanted to clear that up for you guys so you guys weren't so confused.
