Wow, I actually uploaded something?? It's a miracle!!! I wrote this a while back and have been meaning to put it up, but I kept forgetting, forgive me??(All two of you out there, that is.) It's kinda sad, but I like it. It inspires hope, to me at least. I'm thinking of turning this into the inspiration of a full length fic, what do ya think? Let me know what you think. Also, this has not been beta-ed, so please, see an error, point it out! =)
Disclaimer: I don't own Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Hatter (Although I wish I could), or anything slightly familiar. I only own the un-named girl and the plot. (I had Tarrant for a while, lured with tea, I did, but Alice came with the big sword and was like "RAWR!! GIMMIE MY HATTER!!" And, wanting to live, I gave him up.)
Wait for me.
He can't be gone. He just can't be. But, there is his body, lying before me, as cold as ice, his heart had long since stopped beating. It felt as if though
my heart had stopped with his. Too shocked to say anything, I fell ungracefully to the ground, my skirts spread all around me, and I gently place my
hands on either side of his face, feeling his icy skin. Dead. No less than an hour ago we were dancing around, belting songs at the top of our lungs.
The party had stopped because they had attacked us. Such a bloody battle it was. He fought bravely, with so much courage and determination it had
been awe-inspiring. We had won, but I had lost my heart in the process.
One hour, two hours, two weeks, three months, the time just seemed to pass by at an antagonizing pace, almost as if Time himself has decided to
make my life bloody miserable. I walked through the woods surround what used to be his house, until I came across something odd, out of place.
Nestled between two trees was a small ornate chest. I reached down and picked up, as to study it more. It was Holly wood, with silver trimming
around it. It was beautifully carves, with little swirls and animals lining the box. Slowly, I opened it, and found it contain a note. Pulling it out, I read
it.
It said only three words. Wait for me. I'd recognize that hand anywhere! He was alive after all!! Some how, he survived the battle, and he was
coming for me!! My eyes overflowed with tears, hitting the paper, causing the words to smear. But it did not matter, I had the note memorized. He
would come back, I knew it. All I had to do was wait, and hope for his safe return.
