Caged Butterfly

There was always the one simple window, that showed her nothing but a waste land.

No sound came from it. Light reached in, but it did not warm her at all because she could not feel it.

It had been about six months now, six months of being at the Millefiore Base in Italy, and six months of being a prisoner. She had been a member of the Vongola, so the boss figured kidnapping her would get a good rise out of the younger version of the Tenth Vongola that was dead. It did of course, but he hadn't expected her to be so interesting either.

The raven-haired girl sat in the room, plain white walls all around her. There was only a bed, nothing else. No pictures or sounds, all expect for a window. One that looked over the destroyed city below. It was a dull and sad site, yet the only one she had. So she gazed at it. As if looking out would help her take hold of it and be free.

The door opened, a figure walking into the room. He was male, clad in the White Spell uniform with messy white hair and misty blue eyes. He walked forward, smiling down at her kindly, though it was a lie.

"Akane-chan, you know if you just give into me, you'll be set free." he stated to her."You can leave and come as you please, but you have to work for me. Not Tsunayoshi-kun. Ne, what do you say?"

The girl didn't look away from the window, eyes locked on it as if she didn't hear him, though she did. She just wished that she didn't was all. It was tempting to agree, just to feel the air on her face, the sun on her skin. To see color and something nice, not that barren place outside. She would not agree though.

"So stubborn." Byakuran sighed before he took hold of her chin with his long and slender fingers, cupping it and making her look at him."Pay attention when I speak to you." He looked into her own azure eyes, though they were not as cold as his and still held that slightly defiant look. "Come on, don't you want to see something besides this room?"

"I won't..." she stated to him.

"Hm? Won't what?" he asked her.

"I won't betray them. I'll live here, die here, but I won't give up the bonds I've made with them." she stated to him.

The boss frown for a moment before a cruel smirk came onto his lips. He brought his face closer to her own before he tilted his head.

"Then you will remain here that way, but I won't let you just die. No, I'll let you live on and suffer here. Don't worry, you won't be lonely though. I'll come and see you everyday. I'll spoil you until you change your mind and if you don't, I still will. Because I will give you everything you want, except for the one thing you want the most... Your freedom."

He looked into her eyes, knowing that those words hurt her, made her scared. He liked when she was like that and she knew it. He finally pulled her into a rough kiss, forcing her to lay down on her back on the bed, white sheets ruffling slightly.

There was always the one simple window, that showed her nothing but a waste land.

No sound came from it. Light reached in, but it did not warm her at all because she could not feel it.

It felt like she would never get to escape.

"Now, how about you sing for me..."

She knew that if it was up to the man in front of her...

"...My little caged butterfly~"

...She wouldn't.
