A little collection of drabbles written for the Prompt of the Day at Hogwarts Online. Prompt: Mistakes are a part of life.

It's about several members of the Weasley family, and takes place before, during and after the Harry Potter books timeline. I know it's not much, it's pretty random, but I hope you still like it.

Mistakes are a part of life

Molly Prewett knows that her family thinks she's making a huge mistake. She is too young to become a mother, too young to get married. And if she listens to reason, she might even agree.

But her heart has never betrayed her, and she knows that it's the right thing – the only possible thing – to do, because she's already in too deep. She is unconditionally in love with a redhead named Arthur Weasley, and despite what everyone says, she knows that her life will not be complete without him. Him, and the child that is growing inside her right now.

"That was stupid! Absolutely, utterly stupid!"

"Shut up, George, don't be such a girl. Anyway, it was your idea."

"The hell it was! Did I not say it needed some refinements?"

Suddenly Fred can't hold it back anymore. He laughs like he hasn't done in a long time, and that has to mean something for a Weasley twin. The corners of George's mouth start to twitch, and then he joins his twin's laughter. It's only when Fred gasps for air that they become silent.

"We're not going to tell anyone about this", says George, and Fred nods.

"Merlin, it's itchy."

There's no way back. No chance to return. Ron knows it, and still he keeps up hope. He should never have left, he shouldn't have run away, he shouldn't have said the things he's said to Harry, he shouldn't have made Hermione cry. If only he had realized that a bit earlier. Then he wouldn't be standing here, in front of Bill's and Fleur's house, knowing full well that his oldest brother will tell him off for abandoning his friends (not that he could blame him). He never knew he could miss someone so badly that it hurts him inside.

When he was a Hogwarts student, Percy was sure he never made any mistakes. He was a Prefect, after all. He can't remember now how it all began to fall apart, all he knows is that he made the biggest mistake of his life by leaving his family. He also knows that they have long forgiven him. They have all told him a million times, and he wants to believe them so badly. Sometimes he actually does. But it doesn't change the fact that he hasn't forgiven himself, and he wonders if he will ever find his peace of mind.

Everybody tells her that she is a fantastic mother. Ginny always laughs about it and says, "Tell the boys about it, they think I'm a control freak with no sense of humour!". Which isn't exactly the truth. The truth is, that her children aren't babies anymore, and now that they are growing up, they seem to think that rules don't apply to them. They are rebellious, both of them, but James is just a little bit wilder than his younger brother. Ginny can't help but wonder if it was the right choice to name him after Hogwarts's biggest trouble maker.
