1. Hermione had always thought that she'd be a dentist. After all, both her parents were dentists. Why shouldn't she be one too?
2. When she was six, she discovered mathematics. It was then she decided that she was going to be a mathematician.
3. Hermione thought there was something beautiful about the phrase, 'goes to infinity'. The idea was so mysterious, so terribly magnificent that merely the thought of it sent thrills of delight coursing through her. She liked to think about that beautifully mysterious infinity. She liked to think that she might one day 'go to infinity', too.
4. Everyone thought that Hermione was a true career woman who would never want or have time to have children. The truth was that Hermione wanted children more than anything else, even a career.
5. After the age of eleven, Hermione had two boys in her life. It was quite the school gossip to speculate on who Hermione would end up with. Would it be Harry, or Ron? The hero, or the sidekick? To Hermione, though, there was never really any question. She knew in her heart of hearts, even if she herself didn't know that she knew, that she was going to marry Harry Potter.
6. When Harry asked her out, she thought she was dreaming. Who would want a bushy haired bossy know-it-all like her? Especially Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived? In the end, Harry had to pinch her several times so she could make sure. Harry still teased her about that to this day.
7. The day she realised she was in love with Harry Potter was the day of the Final Battle. She fought with all the valour she had as a true Gryffindor, even after seeing so many friends fall. But when Harry reached Voldemort, her heart stopped. In that moment she realised that if Harry died, she would die too.
8. When Hermione found out that she was pregnant, she was both elated and scared out of her wits. Would she be a good mother? Would Harry be angry? Did he even want a baby? But then Harry kissed her and told her he loved her more than anyone in the world. It was then that all of her doubts evaporated.
9. Her parents never really forgave her for erasing their memory, even if it was for there own safety. In the end, they effected an awkward truce, if only so that they could see their grandchildren. Hermione still cried about this, and reflected on what could have been.
10. As she lay on her deathbed, surrounded by her loving husband, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, she reflected on her life. Oh, she had regrets. Ifs, and Buts, and Whatcouldhavebeens. But in the end? She wouldn't have had it any other way.
