James picked up the photo album lying on the table in the common room. Across the black leather cover in colour change ink was written DORCAS MEADOWES. Dorcas was one of Lily's best friends, curiousity piqued, he flicked throught the little first half was full of photos of Dorcas, Lily, Marlene and Alice from their first few years at varied in place and moved from school uniform clad to muggle clothes in jumps, the four girls smiling and waving at the camera. None grabbed James' attention until towards the back, where the photos became more recent. He turned a page and with a start he was met with a stunning photo of a sixteen year old Lily, clad in a floral bikini, her pale skin bare before the camera. As he watched the laughing photo Lily reached out her hand to the person taking the photo, trying to block the view of the camera. Assuming it was from the prevous summer James stared at the photo, not at her long, long legs and her exposed breasts but at her face, laughing and carefree. James was struck by how pretty Lily was when she laughed. He was filled with a deep melancholic feeling, what would happen if this year ended and he never got a chance to tell her that he loved her. Not because she was beautiful, but because she was Lily, and he knew that somehow they were meant for something.
