Sakaki Tohya is the older brother of Yuya. He hates Entertainment Dueling and Yusho. He has given up Dueling, but it seems fate has other plans for him as at the same time his brother creates Pendulum Summon, he invents something new called Link Summon. After defeating Roget, the Dimension Guardians are transported to the Xyz Dimension, where they learn that there are more enemies to face than just Academia. To Ryoma, Yu-Gi-Oh! was just a card game that he did as a pass time and compete in. Dying and suddenly finding himself in the very world that the card game is based off of would be a dream come true. Navigating this new world and an interdimensional war not so much. But being reincarnated with Link Monsters and the deck of one of the strongest rivals certainly helps.

Waking up in the world of an anime I watched a while back is not exactly a typical occurrence.
