My Misadventures as a Hotel Owner
Chapter 1: A Man's Home is his Castle…Sort Of
Naruto looked at the weathered inn in disbelief, he couldn't believe that he won himself an inn but then again, he should have expected for there to be strings attached with this being one of them. Seriously, is his luck good or bad? Pick a side already so he can react properly and not act like a darn seesaw!
"I'm gonna call these guys and give them a piece of my mind!" Naruto picked up his phone and dialed in the number but ended learning that it was unavailable, irritating him even more before trying to calm himself down.
"Count to five and breathe in then count to five and breathe out *Inhale*…*Exhale*," Feeling a lot calmer now than he had properly vented, Naruto decided to investigate and see pros and cons of the place "Alright then, let's see what this inn has in store for me,"
He reached into his backpack and took out the folder containing paper relating to the inn then took a look at the blueprint for a small summary of the building structure as he went inside of it.
According to the blueprint; the first floor comprises of a master bedroom which belongs to the owner of the inn, a large bathroom with connected changing rooms for separate gender, and a living room which can be converted for dining. There's a staircase which connects the first and second floors together. He went up to the second floor and noted that there are about 8 bedrooms which are well ventilated with windows peering out to the backyard, and at the end of the hallway is a small bathroom with a toilet, mirror, and sink installed in it. Naruto went out to the backyard through the kitchen and found it to be quite spacious as if one could fit in two to three trailers in a row with a large oak tree at the side.
"Hmmm, from the looks of things, the inn is still in a good condition with the infrastructure still holding strong. The plumbing is okay after such a long time of non-use and the power cables aren't exposed so I'll see about reopening the connections, all this place needs is a serious cleanup if my experience as a handyman hasn't steered me wrong yet," said Naruto thoughtfully, jotting down on his notepad then looked at the list.
To-Do List
* Reconnect Water and Electricity to inn.
* Purchase cleaning tools for indoors and outdoors.
* Move furniture and other belongings to the inn.
* Purchase groceries for the fridge.
"This is a pretty good starting point as of now, I'll see about where to progress afterwards. Now to make a call," Naruto picked up his phone again and called a number on speed dial, he waited for a bit for the person to pick up.
On the other side, a young woman with brown hair which is tied back into a ponytail with bangs framing her face with two barrettes on the right bang wearing a pair of dark square-rimmed eyeglasses, an unzipped red tracksuit top with a tan t-shirt underneath it and a pair of maroon shorts. She was dozing off on a sofa when her cellphone started to ring, rousing her from her slumber. She fumbled around a few times before finally grabbing hold of it and answering the call.
"Hello?" the girl mumbled drowsily.
Naruto smiled at the voice "Hey Yasuko-chan, it's Naruto,"
Suddenly, the girl sat up while looking very awake "Oh Naruto-kun, I wasn't expecting you to call so soon. What's up?"
"Actually, I wanted to pick up my stuff today and wanted to inform you ahead of time," Naruto explained.
Yasuko quirked an eyebrow "Sounds like you were able to find another place eh? That's pretty fast, where's it at?"
"Honestly, you'll find it hard to believe if I told you so I figured that it's best that I show you when I come to pick up the stuff,"
"Okay? You're kinda making me curious with that sentence,"
"Heh, I know but it will be worth the wait,"
"Okay then, see you later,"
"Sure thing, bye…,"
Yasuko ended the call and looked up to the ceiling in silence "I wonder what kind of place it is that would seem unbelievable, then again Naruto has always been one to do unbelievable things and somehow make you believe them,"
For one's understanding, Yasuko had met Naruto at highschool. back then, she thought him to be a delinquent due to his spiky blonde hair and the markings on his cheeks. Her POV later changed during one of the semesters, her seniors had graduated which left her as the new president of the Manga and Anime Club but then the members of the Karate Club had been bullying the juniors into leaving the club which put it at a serious disadvantage as a maximum of five members were needed in order to remain active.
It was then that Naruto made his presence known as he stepped in to protect the juniors from the bullies and warned them to stop but was ignored. Yasuko expected him to start fighting them like the delinquent he was but the blonde did something else; he challenged them to a football match on the forthcoming sports festival with the deal of them quitting the Football Club should they lose and the Manga and Anime Club if he lost. The bullies accepted the deal arrogantly with the belief that they'll win. However, when the day came, Naruto had strategized with his assigned team to beat them so soundly that they couldn't even score a goal and were forced to quit according to the deal made between them.
The coach tried to recruit Naruto into the team but he only accepted a partial membership into the team whereby he'll take part in some of the more important matches and rather chose to join the Manga and Anime Club much to Yasuko's shock. As time went, she came to enjoy Naruto's company thanks to his genuine friendliness which drew the juniors to him and his creative mindset, helping her come up with original doujins to publish at comikets. Even after graduating from school, they continued to keep in contact and Naruto would come over to help with her deadlines.
Back with Naruto, he was patiently waiting at the porch of the inn after successfully turning the water and power back on when he heard the sound of a vehicle approaching and looked to see that it was a delivery van which slowed to a stop.
Two men emerged from the van with one of the holding a clipboard whom Naruto approached before speaking up "Are you Naruto Uzumaki?"
Naruto nodded in affirmation "That's me,"
"We're here to deliver the items which you have ordered online from our shopping site," the delivery held out the clipboard with the payment slip attached whilst his partner offloaded multiple boxes off the van and into the house "Please sign here and thank you for shopping with us,"
"Sure thing, have a nice day," Naruto saw them off as they prepared to drive away.
"Thanks, you too,"
After seeing them leave, Naruto made his way back inside the house where the boxes were laid out in the foyer. Opening each of them one at a time, Naruto revealed what he had purchased online:
Spray bottles, brushes of various sizes, brooms and dustpans, rubber gloves, wood/leather cleaner, mops and buckets, squeegees for cleaning glass, sponges, a vacuum cleaner, baking soda which is useful for eliminating bad smells besides cooking.
For the outdoors, Naruto bought a lawn mower, a wheelbarrow, rake, a ladder, a garden hose with a sprinkler attachment, and a set of gardening tools which he'll use for a garden in the future.
"Alright then, now that I've gotten the tools needed…," he put on his handyman uniform and donned a nose mask "Let's get this place all cleaned up,"
Naruto started by utilizing the ladder to reach the ceilings get rid of the dirt and cobwebs made by the spiders then he went on to use the vacuum cleaner to suck up the dirt before using the squeegee to clean the glass windows.
He had started out with the master bedroom before moving on to the kitchen then the living room and foyer, he wanted to save the bathroom for last and deal with the backyard later on. By the late afternoon, Naruto was able to clean up the first floor which could be considered something given that he was the only one doing this all by himself.
"Well, the bedroom, kitchen, foyer, living room, and bathroom are all cleaned up. I'll handle the second floor and the backyard tomorrow. Now to head over to Yasuko-chan's place and pick up my stuff, I just hope that her room's not dirty again, I always have to either get her to clean or do it for her…," Naruto sighed at the end of his sentence, Yasuko's an energetic and upbeat girl but tends to neglect certain aspects of her lifestyle when she focuses entirely on her work as a manga artist.
With that said, Naruto rented a pickup truck to head over to her place and pack his things in the back whilst bringing Yasuko along to see his new place and needless to say, she was dumbfounded when he told her how he got it.
"I know you tend to be lucky but this is a whole thing altogether," said Yasuko in disbelief.
"I still question whether this is good luck or bad luck," Naruto retorted.
"Considering the circumstances, it could be a bit of both," Yasuko hummed in thought "You know, this could make for a great source of inspiration for my next work,"
"Of course, use my current situation for a manga. Why am I not surprised?" Naruto deadpanned at a sheepish Yasuko.
"Sorry, I couldn't help it. So, what happens next?"
"Well, I'm halfway done with cleaning the inn, all that's left is the second floor and the backyard to deal with,"
"What about afterwards, will you rent out the rooms?"
"One step at a time, I need to fix this place first then I'll figure out the rental thing later one. Till then, I'll still be falling back on my sidejobs,"
"I see, well keep me posted if you come up with something. Running an inn sounds tough but interesting especially with tenants having unique quirks,"
"So you can have a constant source of inspiration if I'm guessing right,"
Yasuko smiled playfully "That's just a bonus, see ya later Naruto-kun," then she left the inn to grab a taxi back to her apartment.
Naruto sighed and shook his head in amusement, going back inside and looking around the first floor with pride in himself. The place is very clean without a speck of dirt, having also replaced the lightbulbs with new ones amongst other things…but there was something bugging him for quite some time.
He looked at the end of the hall to see a door, he discovered that it was locked for some reason and had tried many times to unlock it even with a lockpick which he had on for a long time but wasn't able to unlock, not to mention that he didn't have the key to begin with. Deciding to shelf it for later as it was getting late, Naruto headed over to the bathroom to get himself cleaned up before going to the kitchen to make dinner for himself then finally turning in for the night.
The next day, Naruto woke and took his bath before having a breakfast of French Toast, Fruit Salad, Bacon and Coffee before preparing for the day. His objective today would be to clean up the second floor then the backyard afterwards, it's gonna be a busy day.
Sure enough, Naruto went on to get rid of the cobwebs, vacuum the rooms, clean the windows, replace the electronics, and mop up the floors. Soon the second was just as clean as the first floor, Naruto inspected the rooms before nodding to himself in approval.
"Alrighty then, the indoors are done. Now to deal with the front and backyards," said Naruto as he took a large gulp from his water bottle.
Stepping outside, Naruto surveyed the area and decided to start out by using the lawnmower to trim down the grass then pulled out the weeds by hand before wheeling them away on the barrow to dispose of them later, he utilized the ladder to climb up to the upper parts of the oak tree to pull down the older and weaker branches to prevent them from falling on anyone when they become brittle enough to break on their own.
"*Phew* I'm finally done, it took me two days but I was able to get this place all cleaned up," said Naruto happily before humming in thought "Well not entirely since it needs a fresh coat of paint and I'll see about what else to do later on…man this place took a large chunk of money from my account. Hopefully I'll be able to recover it through my side jobs,"
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
"Huh?" Naruto was startled a bit from hearing his phone chime to alert him of a message notification which he checked.
We of the Gentle Hearth would like to apologize, we neglected to add one of the keys to your new home therefore have delivered it to doorstep. We'd also wish to alert you that you are properly equipped before going through the door. Once more, we congratulate you for being an owner of the apartment and hope that you manage it responsibly
Not wasting a second, Naruto rushed out to the front door and opened it to find a box on the porch but there was no one in sight much to his anger. He was hoping to find anyone affiliated to the Gentle Hearth so he could show them just how angry he was at them.
"Tch, those guys know full well what they were doing. No doubt not wanting me to get a hold of them…*grumbling*," the blonde picked up the box and went inside, unaware that someone was watching him go back inside the inn.
After a quick shower, Naruto was in his room and observing the content of the box which is a key meant for that locked door from before but there was something strange about the message he got on his phone. What exactly do they mean by being properly equipped before going through the door? It sounds like a big deal from the looks of it.
"What could possibly be behind the door that they would tell me to gear up for it? Not like they're hiding anything illegal or what not,"
Changing out of his handyman uniform into a black and orange t-shirt, black baggy shorts reaching down to his shins, and a pair of black sneakers with orange accents on the sides. Naruto went to the locked door, inserting the key to unlock the door and peer inside to see a large dark room with the walls and floors made of stone and the only source of light being the sunlight from the hallway behind him.

"…huh?"
Naruto stood there blankly, closing the door for a moment then opening to see the dark room before him. He calmly walked outside and when to the side of the inn where the door was supposed to lead to and found nothing then returned to find the dark room STILL there…
…
…
…
"WHAT THE HELL!? HOW'S THIS POSSIBLE!? THERE'S JUST NO WAY THAT IT'S A DUNGEON LIKE IN THOSE VIDEO GAMES!"
Trying to grasp reality, Naruto reared a fist back then punched himself in the face only to yelp in pain and yet still see the dungeon there before him.
"It's not an illusion, but how? These are the kind of stuff that one would see in games, manga and anime. Those Gentle Hearth guys knew exactly what they were talking when they sent that message, to be equipped when accessing this door," said Naruto, breathing in and out to calm himself and think things over carefully.
"Let's go through this carefully now; I lose my apartment home, won a rundown inn through a supposedly random questionnaire, repaired the inn to a stable condition, then received a key which opened a locked door leading to a dungeon straight out of a video game and I'm definitely not tweaking right now," Naruto looked inside the dungeon, mostly trying to come to terms with what's going on…but a part of him couldn't help but be curious about what's beyond the dungeon, like there was a sense of excitement bubbling within that wanted to be released "There may be monsters like orcs, goblins, dragons, elves, kobolds…no doubt Yasuko wouldn't hesitate to run right in to find out,"
"If so, then I should grab a few things just in case I get in way over my head," Naruto closed the door and locked it before leaving the inn to head to a shop to buy a few things that might come in handy.
An hour later, he returned with a black backpack which appears to be of military grade containing items which will soon be revealed especially where he got it from. Now we find Naruto standing at the door whilst donning a black tactical ballistic vest with multiple pouches and a tactical flashlight strapped to the right shoulder, the military grade bulletproof backpack containing the basic necessities inside, and lastly a metallic baseball bat…a spoil of war which he got when a group of delinquents tried to ambush him and ended getting beaten…badly.
"A normal person would have locked the door and called the police about this but then again…," Naruto grinned widely with a twinkle in his eyes "When does a person ever get an opportunity like this in their lifetime?"
Throwing half of caution to the air, Naruto stepped into the dungeon whilst turning on the flashlight to illuminate the area and soon discovered that the dungeon room was completely empty with no sign of monsters around. This might be a good thing in the case that he needed to retreat and not worry about being ambushed by the monsters when coming out, this was further proven when he came across a large steel door built into the wall and a stone switch next to it.
"So far so good, now let's see beyond door number one,"
Naruto pushed the stone switch for the steel door to rise upwards, revealing a dark hallway leading to the unknown. Steeling himself, Naruto strode forward with what's left of his caution and keeping both eyes and ears out for anything. Also, Naruto had come up with a way to backtrack to the inn without getting lost. He had bought a marker to write on the walls which can glow in the dark and wrote in his language so that only he could understand and not reveal anything to anyone unless trusts them.
He suddenly picked up the sounds of footsteps and turned to see what he had been suspecting and finally cleared any remaining traces of doubts. Stepping into the light were a group of short humanoids with long ears, crooked noses, wearing dirty loincloths and wielding clubs.
"Goblins…," Naruto muttered lowly to himself.
"Giii…," the goblins leered at the blonde and started to cause a ruckus, waving their weapons around.
"Gigigii!"
"Giigiiii!"
"Sounds to me like you're spoiling for a fight. Don't think I need to hold back since you dudes aren't human," Naruto brandished his bat "This will be my first fight in this Isekai world, let's make it a memorable one!"
"Giiiii!"

The goblins charged at Naruto who swung his bat widely to halt their charge, having experienced this type of strategy in his previous street fights then leapt to land a flying kick one of the goblins to knock it back then swung at an arc to hit two others. A goblin swung its club but Naruto saw it coming and deflected it with his bat then countered with a knee strike to the face, making the goblin stumble backwards in pain and was unable to see Naruto raise his bat and brought it down on its head, cracking its skull wide open.
The other goblins saw this and tried to attack him all at once, however Naruto did the unexpected and actually threw his bat to beam one of the goblins in the face, hit the second with a flying knee to the chest before turning towards the third to grab it by the shoulders and repeatedly knee its stomach before swinging the goblin around to send it crashing headfirst into the dungeon wall…hard.
Catching movement at the corner of his eye, the blonde spun round with a forearm raised to block a downward strike from the club of a goblin and wasted no time to retaliate with a headbutt, stunning it for him to unleash a barrage of punches to the face before finishing with a nasty uppercut, knocking it into the air and crashing back to the ground.
Naruto turned towards the last goblin with his fists raised close to his face and bouncing lightly on the tips of his toes. At this point, the last goblin was in a frenzy and started attacking wildly to kill the human, but Naruto bobbed and weaved around its attacks with quick steps and countering with quick jabs and hooks, further frustrating the monster into attacking even more.
"Gii…Gii…," the goblin panted heavily, having been attacking this whole time and was now exhausted. Seeing Naruto step forward made it pale in fear.
"I believe you've realized that I was making you attack and wait so you would wear yourself out for this very moment," Naruto picked up his baseball bat with a sly smirk "Game over buddy," he rushed forward all the while dragging the bat against the stone floor with sparks flying till he was close enough to attack with an uppercut powerful enough to blast the goblin's head off, the body stood there for a moment before collapsing to the ground.

As he stood at the dungeon which had become silent once more, Naruto noticed that the bodies of the goblins disappeared in puffs of smoke then his own body glowed for a moment before fading away and he felt his stamina being replenished and he got a bit stronger than before. However, Naruto couldn't help but feel familiar with all this like he had been doing these kind of things for a long time. Maybe it because of those dreams he'd had been having since he was young.
"Seems like I've leveled up, wonder how to view my status…," no sooner did Naruto say that a screen popped up in front of him.

As he looked at his newly revealed status, Naruto couldn't help but wonder about the question marks on some of his status especially when it looks like he has another unknown name in addition to the other two and what else does he have besides magic?
"As much as I want to know what's with the missing details, I need to get a move on before I get ambushed,"
With that said, Naruto resumed his exploration through the dungeon, the first taste of true battle having awoken something inside him and it was evident in his growing proficiency as he continued to fight monsters like goblins, mice, undead skeletons, giant spiders and bats. The more he fought, the more he noticed that he was exhibiting the moves from his dreams more frequently except those ninja tricks.
Eventually, his exploration took him to a staircase up to a floor above and was about to ascend when he heard a voice.
"Someone…anyone…help…me…," the voice of a female echoed in his mind weakly.
"What the…who said that?" Naruto looked around for the voice but wasn't seeing the person.
"Please…help…,"
Naruto frowned at this, whoever it is must be on this floor. Then again, he had explored most of this floor before discovering the staircase to the next floor, meaning that he'll have to check out the sections which he hadn't come across yet but he'll need to hurry as he's now on a timer. Moving at a steady pace, Naruto searched through the floor as quick as he could and making sure to avoid tiring himself out with the voice continuing to echo in his mind, pleading for help.
He soon came upon an unfamiliar hallway and went through it with caution to come upon what appears to be a goblin hideout with the goblins interacting with each other, eating food and doing other things. Naruto took cover behind a pillar and took out a pair of binoculars to check out the place, taking note that there's quite a number of goblins but figured that he must have trimmed it down due to his encounter with the others earlier. There's a taller goblin with red tribal markings on its dark green skin, a necklace made of animal fangs, and the top part of an animal's skull acting as its headdress.
Next to the supposed goblin leader is a girl who lay unconscious. She has the appearance of a 15-year-old with long black hair which is tied in long twin twin-tails, wearing a short white dress was designed to appear torn, with a blue long ribbon wrapped around her chest. The white dress showed her legs and exposed the cleavage of her large breasts as well.
Naruto frowned, seeing the goblin leader look at the girl with naked lust and knew that he had to move fast. He put away his bat and reached into his backpack to bring something out which a screen popped up to appraise it.
Weapon: Stun Baton 2x [ATK: 15 MAG: 20 (80% chance to inflict paralysis)]
"Makes sense since it's meant to shock the hell out of you," Naruto held the stun batons and strode out into the open, whistling loudly to grab attention "Hey assholes, who's in the mood to get beaten up by yours truly? There's enough of me to go around,"
The goblin leader growled in annoyance at being interrupted "Giiii, gi gi giiiiii!" he ordered for the goblins to kill the meddlesome human so he can get to more…interesting matters.
Naruto flicked the switches on to activate stun batons and strode forward calmly as the goblins charged towards him with the intent to kill while his eyes narrowed in determination to defeat them and save the girl.

One of the goblins reached him and swung its club only for the blonde to block it with one of the batons then striking with the other and making sure that it lands on the bare skin, causing the goblin to collapse to the ground with its body twitching in paralysis. No even giving it another look, Naruto moved on to engage the next batch of enemies.
Naruto kept on his toes as he didn't stay at one place and constantly stayed on the move to avoid getting pinned down, a lesson learnt when he was fighting delinquents and isn't keen on letting it cost him his life. Goblins were being taken down one-by-one due to the stun batons paralyzing them and severely crippling their mobility which left them open for Naruto to finish them off.
The goblin leader couldn't believe what he was seeing right now, a human was picking apart his goblins on his own and with strange magical weapons which he had never seen before. Gritting his teeth with growing anger, the goblin leader rose to his feet with intent to deal with the human by himself.
Performing a double handed swing to one side of the head, goblin was knocked down to the ground where he finished it off with a kick to the head. Hearing footsteps rushing towards him from behind, Naruto didn't waste a second and rolled to the side right as something slammed into where he was standing and looked to see the goblin leader leering with a gnarly looking spiked mace in his hands.
"Giii gi gi, gi gi gi!" the goblin leader ranted as he pointed his mace at Naruto.
"I don't speak goblin but I'm guessing that you're pissed that I beat your cronies to a pulp and want to deal with yourself, am I right?" Naruto looked down at his stun batons and saw that they've run out of power and tossed them away before reaching into a pouch of his ballistic vest and took out a pair of brass knuckles which he fitted into his hands

"Well, allow me to oblige you,"
The two rushed towards each other and engaged in close combat, Naruto took evasive maneuvers to avoid getting hit by the goblin leader's weapon, knowing full well that he'll be in serious trouble if the monster got a clean hit on him.
The goblin leader was getting frustrated with the fight, he had started from the bottom, scavenging and fighting over food then he grew in strength as time went before eventually leading a group of his own in attacking other monsters and adventurers. And now here's a single human who has proven to be more than just a mere thorn in his side, he won't let himself lose after all this!
Naruto darted backwards, noting the damage he had inflicted on the monster thanks to the brass knuckles he has on but wasn't without wounds of his own, noting the parts of his clothes ripped and torn before snapping back into focus "I need to end this fast, a clean hit to the neck then I'll be able to wrap this fight by using the guy's mace against him,"
"Alright, time to end this!" Naruto crouched slightly then dashed forward with great speed and a fist reared back to attack whilst the goblin leader prepared to counter. He was upon his opponent when the goblin leader suddenly threw something which burst to release yellow dust for Naruto to breathe in before he could react "What the…!?" he noticed that his body going numb and realized what it was that the goblin used on him.
"Gi gi gi gi…," the goblin leader laughed evilly at the success of his plan and swung his mace at Naruto, sending him flying and crashing into the stone wall then slumped to the ground in pain with the paralysis yet to wear off.
Naruto raised his head to see the goblin leader approach him haughtily, obviously enjoying the moment and glanced at the unconscious girl. He tried to get up but his body was still numb much to his frustration.
"Is this how it ends? How I'm gonna die? How I failed to save that girl?" Naruto gritted his teeth in anger…at himself…at the goblin…at the situation "…no, I won't accept this…I won't let myself lose…I refuse to die here!"
Suddenly, Naruto felt something stir within himself like a flame which proceeded to flow throughout his body, filling him with power and the numbness was gone in an instant. The goblin leader stopped upon seeing the human's body start emitting a blue fiery aura. The human rose back to his feet with his head lowered.
Giii? Gi gi!" the goblin leader snapped back to focus and rushed in to attack before the human would do anything.
The moment the monster swung his mace, it was suddenly halted in midair due to Naruto having grabbed the monster's wrist without warning and began to squeeze it very tightly as Naruto glared at the monster, the pupils of his blue being slitted like a feline.
"…time to go wild!" the blonde unleashed a powerful punch to the monster's solar plexus that he stumbled backwards whilst dropping the mace in pain but Naruto wasn't done by a long shot, punching and kicking at the goblin leader with no intervals with a force which wasn't present previously until now.
Naruto grabbed the goblin leader by the shoulders and kneed the chest several times then switched to punching it in the face with great intensity. Suddenly a memory flowed into Naruto's mind which instigated him to crossing the middle and index fingers of both hands together and calling out "Shadow Clone jutsu!" there were puffs of smoke which dissipated to reveal copies of himself that immediately swung into action.
The first clone dashed forward and punched the goblin in the face to make him stumble, the second clone came from behind with a slide kick to knock him off his feet. The third clone dashed in from the left and used a rising kick to launch him into the air while the original leapt into the air with his right leg glowing more brightly, the final clone appeared under the goblin while performing a handstand and dealt a double kick to send him higher. "Uzumaki Barrage!" Naruto slammed a powerful heel drop kick and they both descended towards the ground resulting in a small crater and the monster laid there unmoving and broken.

Seeing the goblins as well as the leader disappear made Naruto finally relax and taking note of things. First being that he felt something different about himself and that it was familiar, the second being the copies of himself that were observing the area with one of them speaking up.
"Hey boss, shouldn't we be checking on the girl?" asked one of the clones.
"Oh yeah, you're right! Thanks," Naruto ran over to check on the girl.
"No prob boss, just call us when you need our help," said another one of the clones before they all disappeared in puffs of smoke much to Naruto's confusion.
"Just like in those dreams, could all those be real?" Naruto wondered before shaking his head "No time for that right now, I need to get this girl back to the inn,"
After packing the stun batons and brass knuckles into his backpack, Naruto checked on the girl and saw that she wasn't hurt but simply unconscious. So, he carried her in his arms and proceeded to backtrack to the inn with help from the markings he drew with the marker, safely returning to the doorway and returning to his world.
Naruto went up to one of the rooms in the second floor and laid the girl into a futon whilst making sure that she was okay before carefully observing her. The blonde couldn't help but find her to be very beautiful which is a given since she's from an Isekai world, then he took note of the damaged vest on his chest.
"And to think I wouldn't be here had I ignored that message they sent to me, even though they're the ones that caused it. Even so…," he looked down at the damaged and bloodstained vest "I'm not bleeding anymore, sure the vest took a portion of the damage but I still bled. Maybe a level up was the cause…Status open!" the screen appeared before him once more with new information.

"At least I've gotten stronger and it looks like I got something besides magic…chakra…why does that name sound so familiar? Anyways, I'm gonna head down change into something clean. Don't think I'll be going into the dungeon for some time until I'm better prepared,"
Naruto left the room and went to his room and put on a copy of the clothes he wore today…hey the dude loves orange, sue him! Then he put away the other clothes and vest to wash later on and was exiting from his room when suddenly.
"I'm glad to see that you're well, is there anything you'd like for me to do?" a female voice spoke up from behind Naruto, causing him to turn around faster than one would blink to see a girl before him.
She's a head shorter than him with a pale complexion, her hair being pink with black at the ends and tied into two large twin-tails. She wears a maid outfit with a wonderland theme consisting of a frilly maid dress, an attached mock-apron, thigh-high stockings with garter belts, Mary Jane shoes, and a headdress resembling a Mad Hatter's hat.
"W-Who are you!?" asked Naruto with apprehension.
The girl bowed with grace "My name is Felicia; I am what your people call a Zashiki-Warashi awakened to serve you as my new master in every way. I am honored to be of service to you,"
Naruto blinked in disbelief "…just how many surprises will keep popping up from out of nowhere to catch me unawares!?"
Back upstairs in the room, the twin-tailed girl gradually began to stir awake and finally opened her eyes as she sat up and started looking around in confusion.
"Where…am I?"
This is Hussbek online with the latest chapter. In spite of feeling that he was ripped off when he saw the state of the place, Naruto decided to make do with what he has and fix the inn to a more desirable condition by purchasing the tools and materials necessary before retrieving his belongings from one of his friends who was surprised to learn of his ownership.
Later on after completing the fixture of the building, Naruto received a key which unlocks a door which he couldn't open before along with a vague warning and soon discovered the reason in the form of a dungeon straight out of a manga and anime. Appropriately preparing himself after a bit of shopping, Naruto ventured into the dungeon and started getting the hang of things after fighting monsters and leveling up along the way.
He was about to go up to the next floor when he heard a cry for help and didn't hesitate to answer it. Naruto came up a goblin hideout where they held a girl captive and he had no intention to wait for anything to happen to her hence leaping into the fray to take them on and eventually had a one-on-one with the goblin leader. Things got a bit tricky when the goblin leader used a paralyzing dust to gain an edge but a moment of determination and plain stubbornness led to Naruto awakening a power similar to the one which he saw in those strange dreams of his and won the fight.
Afterwards, Naruto opted to carry the girl back to the inn and wait for her to recover and try to figure things out as well. But then he had an encounter with a strange girl dressed as a maid who claimed to be his servant much to his confusion given that he never met her before ever since he came to own the inn, apparently the surprises don't stop coming for him.

Kl12: in response to your statement and referring to the prologue, Naruto took on several sidejobs during the time he wasn't able to secure an actual, hence developing certain skills which will be brought into light in future chapters with cooking being one of them.
Thor94: Karma will definitely hit those two and it will hit them hard.
Explanation: as you have noticed, Naruto has reawakened his chakra which was dormant till now and his jutsu along with new ones will make a comeback. Keep in mind that I don't always follow canon Naruto in my stories and had him properly on the level with other ninjas. Anyways, you'll still see Naruto being his ninja self just with a mix of magic and modern arts which means he'll be using things from both the Isekai and modern world. Before I forget, I'll be having Naruto get involved in things in the modern world to the point of going beyond Japan depending the arc. For those wondering how the inn looks like, refer to the Maison Izumo from Sekirei. The harem list will come much later but I'm sure you get it in good time, if you have any ideas for an Isekai world then my pm is open to receive your suggestions like always.
