Sequel to The Ugliness of Things. Malcolm asks for a leave of absence to get reassessed by Starfleet in San Francisco. On his way there, however, the transport on which he is travelling is attacked and he finds himself stranded on a planet with other survivors. This story is complete in itself but is intricately linked with The Ugliness of Things, to which it often refers.

Part of my B5 SI story: Q asks David to help out the Enterprise as Temporal Cold War Shenanigans threaten to derail the launch of the NX-01 and jeopardise the formation of the Federation. David now Horatio must get the NX program back on track or risk the future that Gene Roddenberry dreamed may become a dystopian nightmare.

Trip and T'Pol have been back aboard Enterprise from their Ice Planet honeymoon for 3 months now and the ship is being called into another hazardous diplomatic mission. Soval returns to both save the mission and get to the bottom of the strange emotions he feels from both his charge & the blond engineer. make matters worse, 4 new recruits come aboard all with their own agendas.

In the Mirror Universe, a young engineer takes pity on Nurse Elizabeth Cutler, in thrall to the ship's resident predator. Unfortunately, the predator can use any opportunity to further his aims - and innocence will be no protection.

The final chapter in this story. Our two castaways struggling to survive until their vegetation go through some tough times but finally get through. In his anger and grief, Trip's actions wreck what he and Malcolm had so carefully built with each other. Some mistakes can't be undone. Some things can't be rebuilt. All those words of aching apology, echoing in his head and left forever unsaid. Our two bond-mates continue to do what is necessary to survive, as their shipmates work on a plan to use technology to go down and rescue them. Chapter 4, our intrepid duo is trying to make a home for themselves inside an Ice Giant planet while they await a rescue from their ship and crew. Time is accelerated on this world meaning that they will be here for months in the slower time the Enterprise takes to get to them. Lots of moving in together fun. Enjoy.

Part 3 picks up on the ledge overlooking what our two explorers hope to be their new home. Deep within this ice planet where time runs much faster than aboard ship, the bondmates begin to work out their issues, while learning how to set up house together as a couple. Enjoy.

A story of healing between the Enterprises' resident love birds. T'Pol needs to understand her culture but keeps pushing Trip away in the process.
