Right! Advanced Happy Valentine's Week All! Seven Days of Amor fluff for you all. Yeah, seven chapters worth of SatoSere fluff to sweeten this year's valentine's week! Here's my view of how Ash and Serena's reunion should have gone, inspired by EP 003 ("A Battle of Ariel Mobility") in the Pokemon XY anime.

Part One

F for First Encounter

Santalune City

Outside of the Gym

Third Person's POV

The moment he saw her his heart beat increased. He knew her, a memory from his past resurfaced as if it had waited for that moment to become active after years of laying dormant within his mind. She had come to him after his lose to Viola, giving him encouragement. He had looked up upon hearing her words, seeing her familiar honey blonde hair and shining blue eyes.

He stood from his perch taking her hand in his, "Serena?"

She was surprised that he had remembered her, happiness filled her as she nodded her head. He smiled brining her in for a hug.

"Oh Ash! I was so scared that you wouldn't remember me. It has been years since that camp, I thought.." Tears came to her eyes as she vocalized her fears to him.

He held her tighter, "Hey now, I've never forgotten you. You were one of the few people there who was my friend, Gary was a jerk half the time and Leaf had annoyed me with her teasing."

Their audience looked towards them with varying expressions of shock filtering on their faces. Pikachu was looking towards his trainer with a curious gaze, the mouse Pokemon remembering something his trainer once told him about his childhood, he was glad that Ash had this time to reunite with his oldest friend.

It was Alexa who spoke up first, "You know each other?"

The pair faced the three people realizing that they had been in their own world for some time now. They separated yet kept their hands connected, not wanting to let go of the other.

Ash smiled nodding, "We do! We met at one of Professor Oak's summer camps. She got hurt after a Poliwag had startled her, I helped her cover up her injury before walking her back to camp. We've been friends since!"

"Wow! Reunited after these years. It is kind of sweet, almost like a love story!" Bonnie says a tad bit teasingly causing the pair to blush.

Clemont groaned bowing his head, "Bonnie! I am really sorry."

"It's alright. Everyone this is Serena Yvonne, Serena the two siblings are Bonnie and Clemont they are both from Lumios City. And she is Alexa her sister is Viola." Ash said by way of introduction.

Alex smiled shaking her hand, "It is nice to meet more of Ash's old friends!"

"Hello everyone! It is nice to meet new people." She greets a huge smile on her face.

For the rest of the day and some of the evening Ash spent training with help from everyone, and despite Clemont's failed invention Ash got well thought-out strategies for his rematch. Serena was amazed by his drive, the way he cared for his Pokemon, and the way he treated others. She had been drawn to Ash since they were kids, before she and her mom moved out of Kanto. She had been devastated having to say goodbye to him, his face when their ferry pulled away from the dock was one she did not want to see again.

She spoke to him again words filled with conviction, "Don't give up until it's over."

"You remember?" He asked in wonder then grinned goofily.

She giggled reaching for his cap, "Sure I do Ash! I've lived by those words since you've said them to me."

"Hey now, you don't get to take the cap missy." He says holding the accessory to his head.

She pouts cutely, "Fine."

He chuckles thinking that she looked adorable pouting like that, Alexa had left back to Lumios after his rematch with her sister, while the siblings stayed with them. They were traveling the path towards the City as they had to pass there to get to the next gym. Serena was conflicted, she wanted to go with Ash on his journey but was too scared to ask him. Ash sensed her unease and locked his gaze with hers.

"Hey Ser?" He asked her taking her hand in his.

She shook her head, "Yeah?"

"I was wondering, would you by any chance want to travel together?" He asked a small smile gracing his features.

Her eyes widened, "H-how did..."

"Well, I've always been able to read you better then others. Glad I can still do that now." He responds his smile getting wider.

She giggled knowing she could do the same to him as well, "I would love to travel with you. How about Clemont and Bonnie?"

"We'd have to head back to Lumios. Dad must be worried about us." Clemont provided rather sadly.

Bonnie frowned, "It'll be sad leaving our new friends though big brother."

Both Ash and Serena felt their spirits mellow down at the news. They were hoping that the siblings could join them as well, but both knew the importance of family. They shared a look, both agreeing to something.

Ash spoke first, "Well, we could at least see you off before going to the next City."

"Yeah, we'll make sure to visit once in awhile though. It'll be fun hang out some." Says Serena with a kind smile.

A teary eyed yet smiling Bonnie went to hug them, "I am gonna miss you both! We've only just met but I feel as if we were meant to come together."

"She's right. This is strange, even though we just met I already feel as if we've known each other for a long time." Says Clemont.

Serena nods, "Seeing Ash again was something I never thought I would do, be here we are."

"Throughout my journeys in the different regions I've learned that nothing is a coincidence. I've always considered meeting new people or reuniting with old friends as something fate set out to happen." Ash tells them with a smile.

They looked to him surprised by his wise words, but soon smiled at the truth of his statement. Serena knew more then anyone how fate played a role in people's lives, she had found Ash after all. The group traversed to the path leading towards the main city of the region, discussing their dreams and futures. For Serena well she didn't find a passion to follow, she looked down as she had realized that she had not found her true calling in life and that Ash has had his since they were kids. Once again she found a hand on shoulder and she looked up to see Ash gaze at her.

His lips curled up into a reassuring smile, "You'll find your passion Serena. I know you will, sometimes it takes a journey find one's true calling in life after all."

"He's right! Sometimes traveling opens many possibilities for everyone that they often find their dreams on the road. Maybe you'll find yours on this journey around Kalos." Says Clemont also smiling.

Serena nods finding a resolve fill within her, "You're both right!"

They shared a smile, Pikachu jump on top of Ash's shoulder as Fennekin snuggled into Serena's arms. They all knew that where ever the road took them it'd lead them to unknown paths.

So the journey continues.

Hello all! A little treat for this Feb, SatoSere loving all around. This is a supplementary fanfic to my "AmourShipping 2022 - Twelve Days til Christmas" one. Each chapter will represent a letter from the word "FRIENDS", seeing SatoSere's friendship develop into something more throughout the chapters.

Each chapter also represents particular episodes from the Pokemon XY/XYZ anime, but of course there will be major differences to the interactions between Ash and Serena.
