Sup Everyone. this is my first fanfic, and I would really appreciate if you guys would review it. Follows and Likes aren't necessary, but still treasured

Now, Onto the story!

I woke up to a white light.

As I look up, I see a... Ceiling fan? That's weird, I thought my hospital room had air conditioning. My eyes feel tired and dreary, and my bones weak and heavy.

"Ugh..."

I tried to stand, pushing myself up using the floor, which I just found out were tiles.

"Ah. It seems you are awake."

I look to the source of that sound, a seemingly old man, with a beard that could put even put Santa's in shame.

"You've been lying there for quite some time now. Tell me child, how can I help you?"

Child? I'm no child.

I was about to rebuke, when he shushes me.

"Now now, I know what you are wondering. What is this place? How did I end up here?"

He chuckles, "You my child, is in a place you would call... Heaven. And How you got here? You died."

I... Died?

Oh. I remember now. I was in my death bed, together with my family and close friends. Heh, I was lucky, having a good life even after all I've done.

"W-What now?" I ask. "Now, we wait." I was answered. "Wait for what?" I asked again.

"For your turn!" He says enthusiastically. It seems he's been doing this for a while.

'Wait... What turn?' I think, right before a blue light starts blocking my vision.

"And it seems it's time!" I didn't get to ask why, as I was suddenly pulled into some kind of... Portal?

"W-Wait! You haven't even expla-" I was cut off when the portal suddenly closed off on me.

I looked at the spot the man had disappeared from, giving a heavy sigh. "Gabriel, that wasn't supposed to happen. What went wrong?" I asked, demanding an answer.

"I do not know. The only times these cases have happened was when someone died before they should have, hence we need a replacement soul." A tall man with wings for an angel answered back.

"And who was he replacing?"

"A young man by the name of Uzumaki Naruto."

I woke up, feeling quite sore, and a little bit of pain. And by a little, I mean my LEGS FEEL LIKE THEY ARE BEING PUNCTURED BY A THOUSAND NEEDLES!

I try to breath calmly, and as I look at my legs, I see two things: Something that seems to be a dead squirrel, and my legs, which are being punctured by a ton of needles.

That explains the pain earlier...

I look up to the sky, hoping to find out where I am this time. Strict emphasis on 'this time'.

I tried to move my legs, just to be greeted with another ounce of pain. That's a no-go then.

I then get another idea: why not shout as hard as I can? That seemed to work wonders everytime I did that as a kid before.

Wait, that's not a good idea at all! What if there are predators! I need to get out of this situation as fast as possible!

I survey my surroundings, until I find a small stream of water. I start crawling towards it, completely ignoring the pain, which turns out is hard to do when you are a kid.

Wait KID?! I stopped halfway towards the stream, as the dawn of the situation dawns upon me: I WAS TOO SMALL!

No, no, no! This should not be happening! I absolutely refuse to ever accept this! I just spent 76 years of my life before, and when I die, I become This! Screw you random guy with a beard!

On which then I proceeded to continue crawling towards that stream of water. These wounds of mine aren't good, and I certainly wouldn't want to bleed out or get Tetanus.

Once I got to the stream, I started to pluck out the needles, which I counted to be 24 pieces. How'd I even end up with 24 needles stuck to my skin? As I pluck the needles one by one, I realize that the wounds just randomly disappears.

After I finished plucking the needles out, I find my legs to be completely unscathed. I tried to stand, but it seems that pain stopping does not mean fully healed. I guess my bones are still skewered then.

I then hear my stomach rumble, signaling that I haven't eaten in a while. I look back to where I once was, and towards the dead squirrel. I then try to crawl as fast as I can towards it, only to realize It's been thoroughly skewered. Huh, It must've died to a trap.

Wait, then why did I also get skewered?

Did a trap malfunction?

Furthermore, who made the trap?

rumble*

"... I don't want to think" I said out loud, while trying to get a fire going.

Approximately 3 hours after I spawned

The squirrel was good meat. I didn't know I was quite the good cook either.

My legs are now fully healed, so I now start to venture out towards whatever civilization I find. As I walk, I then started using my brain to analyze the situation

Okay, It seems that I've somehow ended up as a young child, probably 7-8. I've woken up on a forest, and I need to find shelter, fast.

I look up at the sky, to see that the sun is starting to set. Damn, I'd have to walk faster. I started to speedwalk, wanting to preserve energy while going fast.

And look how surprised I was when not only 10 munites later, I finally end up in Civilization. Following the road, I see that it is leading to some kind of Walled Village.

I walk through the village gates without trouble, before a Man with a scar on his nose ambushes me.

"Naruto! Where have you been?! You missed class for two days!" The man asks. "Huh?" I don't really know the man, so I'd rather be safe than sorry.

"What do you mean huh?! You've bee skipping class for two days straight and you answer with huh?!" He answers back. "Listen dude, I just woke up at the forest with needles stuck on my legs, class is the least of my priorities." Once I finished saying that, his face turned into one of suspicion and cautiousness.

"Naruto... Don't lie to me."

I look at him with a puzzled look, wondering why he called me... Naruto...?! Naruto! The name of that TV show I loved as a kid?! No, no, no! This has to be a joke! Out of al I got reincarnated to, this world had to be it?!

"Uhh... Who are you again?" I said with actual curiosity. I was greeted by a strict and quite harsh verbal warning.

"NARUTO! THIS IS NOT TIME FOR PRANKS! YOU HAVE NOT WENT IN CLASS FOR TWO DAYS! TWO DAYS!" The man berates, which I was accompanied by his head magically becoming bigger and his voice becoming louder... How'd he do that?

"Look! I don't even know you! So would you please introduce yourself first!" He looks at me shocked, probably not expecting what I said. "Naruto... Is this one of your pranks?"

I just shake my head at him.

"This better be not a prank, or else..." He warns. He then signals me to follow him.

'I wonder what's wrong with Naruto...' I look at him, and sees that he is missing his usual "Believe It!" Grin. As we go to the Hokage office, I often see him glancing at shops we pass by, definitely more curious than he was before.

We arrive at the Hokage tower, and after asking for an audience with the Hokage, he finally speaks: "Neh, what's a Hokage?"

"Naruto, didn't you want to become the Hokage?" He looks at me, puzzled. "I did? But why don't I remember that?" Okay, something definitely isn't right. This isn't Naruto...

"Excuse me, the Hokage may now speak with you."

I gulp nervously, scared that what I am thinking might be true.

The Hokage Tower

I look at the door, waiting for young Naruto and Iruka to show up. I chuckle, thinking of whatever trouble Naruto has ended up with again... 'Kushina, he's definitely your son...' I think with a hint of sadness.

I was cut out of my thoughts when I hear the Door open.

"This is what a Hokage is?"

I stand there, completely baffled at what I heard.

Now that Concludes Chapter 1.

I'd really appreciate if you would review and tell me suggestions and things I need to improve, as I said, This is my first fanfic. Peace!
