It had now been a few days since Seles had moved into her new apartment.
In that time she had made her way through Orientation and more importantly, managed to land herself a job at a local Corner Store, with today being her first day on the job.
She'd wake up, do her daily routine and get dressed in her uniform: A simple black shirt and pants with the store's name on it and a nametag.
Before leaving, she'd jot something down in her Journal
Dear Journal thingy
I actually got a job! And really quickly too!
Sorry for not writing in you earlier I've been really busy with Orientation and getting settled in and all that junk.
I've gotta go now, I'll write in you again soon!
She'd put down her Journal and begin walking to her job.
She'd look around the streets of the small town she now lived in. People going about their days, before she'd spot her new place of work and would walk into the small store.
Upon entering the store, she'd be greeted by a girl with short red hair wearing the same uniform as her.
"Hey there newbie, I was told we were gettin' someone new, what's your name?" The redhead said, walking up to Seles. "Seles, what's yours?"
"Carol, I'm supposed to show you where all the stuff is," Carol explained. "Bathroom's over there," She'd point to a door at the opposite end of the counter. "And the break room and storage is behind the counter, that's all you really need to know," She said, shrugging.
"Huh, thanks guess I'll get to it," Seles said, walking behind the counter, Carol joining her.
Nothing much happened during Seles' first day, a few customers walked in and were generally nice, sometimes she got up to restock shelves; this lack of anything really interesting happened caused Carol to become bored, very bored.
"Ughhh... this is so boring! Are you bored, Seles?"
"I mean, a little; we could talk if you're bored," Seles suggested.
"Good idea, whaddya wanna talk about? Clothes? Cute Girls? Bonda-" Carol drooled out those last two.
"N-no, I wanted to ask about you," Seles hastily clarified, interrupting Carol. "Like, what do you do in your free time?"
"Well, there's this nightclub, down the street and around the corner from here where University Kids like going; it's pretty fun, You should go sometime,"
"Sounds fun, I'll try," Seles promised. "Say, do you go to University or nah?"
"Yeah, Didnapper Uni,"
"Nice, I go there too,"
"Heh, small world,"
Nothing much would happen for the rest of their shift and eventually Carol and Seles were allowed to leave the store as their shift was over, it was the afternoon at this point.
Carol and Seles would walk together to the University, making conversation along the way.
"Sooooo, what do you like to do in your free time?" Carol asked, leaning towards the taller woman.
"Ah, well, I've just moved in here so I haven't really had much free time until now, I'm really just looking for stuff to do," Seles explained.
"Oof, I should show you around sometime,"
"That'd be fun,"
The two would make Smalltalk until they got to the university, in which they got into the elevator and went to the same floor; they both thought this was just a coincidence until Carol noticed that Seles' apartment was next to hers.
"Hey, we're neighbours!" The redhead said, the excitement evident in her voice.
"Huh, so we are, well, see ya later," Seles said, entering her dorm.
"Bye Seles!" Carol said, also entering her dorm.
