A Night to Remember

"YOU'RE DATING THE LADY WHO HIT ME WITH HER CAR?!"

Sabina saw Fiona's smirk appear from across the room. Callista looked horrified. Sabina didn't need this kind of judgment in her life. Besides, Fiona had good qualities. "I'm dating the woman who apologized for hitting your car and took responsibility for it. People make mistakes, Callista. The important part is apologizing and trying to make up for it if you can. Which Fiona did."

Her niece fell quiet. Sabina could see the wheels turning in her head. The little scamp was way overthinking this. Then again, it wouldn't be Callista if she didn't overthink these. "I guess. Could you maybe deadbolt the door next time?"

Callista was very faintly pink. Sabina resisted a snort. Callista hadn't even knocked, so Sabina felt like an important lesson had just been learned. "Knock or ring the doorbell next time."

Callista nodded vigorously. Fiona's smirk grew broader as Sabina's niece scurried out. Sabina heard the lock turn. "You're hot when you lecture people while topless."

Sabina glanced down and remembered that she wasn't wearing a stitch about her waist. Oh, well. She and Fiona had been enjoying their regularly scheduled evening activities before Callista had walked in on them. "Thank you, but I think I will be getting a blanket."

Fiona gave her a hopeful look. Sabina smirked slightly. It was gratifying to be desired that much. If Fiona was nice, she could snuggle her on the couch for movie night. "Oh?"

Sabina stepped towards the cabinet and grabbed a robe before dropping the rest of her clothes. Baiting Fiona was awfully fun. Fiona's eyes widened comically. Sabina put on the robe and grabbed her blanket. It was a bit cold for just the robe. "It's movie night, Fiona."

Sabina pulled one of her favorite date movies off of the wall. She had watched it enough that she wouldn't need to give the movie her undivided attention. "Movie night?!"

Fiona sounded aghast. This was far too much fun. Besides, Fiona was going to still have to seduce her. Sabina had standards. "Movie night. Feel free to join me and my five thousand snacks on the couch."

Fiona looked much less huffy as Sabina began pulling out nearly a dozen snacks. She rather enjoyed them in small quantities. Plus, it was great when she had friends or coworkers over. Everybody loved snacks. "You weren't kidding about the snacks."

Fiona was slowly inching the watermelon bites toward her. Sabina decided it was time for some lemon candies. She unstuck a few from the tin as she responded. "I would never joke about snacks. They're an important part of life."

Fiona grinned and scooted the watermelon bites into her lap. Sabina was highly amused. Those weren't going anywhere and she had extras. Everyone liked snacks. "Thanks. For the snacks, I mean."

Sabina grinned as she turned the television on. Fiona seemed to slowly be warming up to the idea. She had picked The Craft. It was a bit of a cheese-fest, but so were most of her movies. "You're welcome."

The movie began to play in front of the two of them. Fiona looked at her. Sabina knew it wasn't exactly popular or well-known. "I haven't seen this one."

Sabina grinned at her. She hoped Fiona liked her taste in movies. A few people just refused to even try watching her somewhat eclectic collection. "Then you're in for a treat."

The movie played out in front of them. Sabina appreciated the fact that Fiona was engrossed in the movie. The woman seemed content to snuggle her and watch the story of four young witches. Sabina simply cuddled Fiona and settled in to watch one of her favorite movies of all time.

"Did you like the movie?"

Fiona smiled at her. Sabina was starting to hope that Fiona was going to like her movie collection. It was nice to have somebody to watch it with. "It was great. And not the usual movies people try to show me on dates."

Sabina used the remote to turn the television off as the credits continued to roll. It was bold of people to just assume that you liked a certain genre of movies. She loved the horror genre. "Romcoms?"

Fiona crinkled her nose. She looked like she had just found a cat turd in her shoe. "Romcoms and period pieces. I got enough history of the English nobility at home, so documentaries and historical fiction always remind me of my father. Not ideal for a date."

Sabina cackled. This was fucking priceless. Who thought showing one of the nobility a movie about the nobility was a good idea?! "They showed a titled woman a bunch of movies about other titled women?!"

Fiona rolled her eyes and sighed. Sabina sensed that there was more. "Oh, it gets worse. They usually start talking about the glory of the British Empire and how it was great that nobles could have mistresses and affairs."

Sabina began laughing even harder. That was one way of telling someone you were a cheater without actually telling them you were a cheater. Fiona let out a dramatic huff and flopped back onto the couch. "Sabina! It was awful."

Sabina watched as Fiona fought the smile back. She was enjoying teasing the other woman. Besides, Fiona was here with her now. There was going to be no awful movies allowed. "I'm sure. Don't worry, I promise not to have you watch period pieces and be super weird about it after."

Fiona lost the battle against a smile. Sabina leaned against the couch as she finished carefully putting her snack up. It wouldn't do to get bugs in the apartment. Fiona's voice turned dry. "I'm glad."

Sabina watched as she rose from the couch. Fiona looked good in her dark blue top and jeans. The low light highlighted her curves. She offered her hand to Sabina. "Join me in your room?"

Sabina smiled at her. This was going to be a fun night. Fiona seemed to only have eyes for her at the moment. "Sounds like a plan."
