Everyone eventually made it to the dance. Many people were there students and teachers alike. Anakin looked over to see Crimson offering his hand to Penny. Anakin smiles at the sight. Before looking to his left to see Blake holding onto his arm.

"You ready?" Anakin asks. Blake smiles lightly with a slight blush.

"Yes." She says

As the two approach they see Yang at a podium greeting the guests. She quickly noticed the two and her smile widened.

"Oh you two look Lovely together!" She shouts making Blake blush madly and Anakin chuckle nervously.

"Thanks I guess." Anakin says. "You here alone?"

Yang's smile deflates. "Y-yeah. It's fine though." She says unconvincingly.

Anakin noticed her change in mood. "Hey. Who knows. Maybe you'll meet someone inside?" Anakin suggests. It earns a smile from the blond brawler.

"Thanks Skyguy, maybe your right." She says. Anakin's jumped slightly mind went back to his old padawan, but he shook those thoughts away for now. Yang didn't seem to notice, but Anakin's slight jump didn't go unnoticed by Blake. She decided she would ask later.

When the two went in a vary elegant song was playing. Perfect for dancing. Anakin looked to Blake with a soft smile and a raised eyebrow. "Care to dance my lady?" He asks teasingly.

Blake rolls her eyes with a smile. "Sure." She agrees. Anakin grabs hold of one hand while placing his other around her waist as Blake places her free hand upon his shoulder. With that they slowly sway their way along with the music.

Anakin could tell that she wasn't all to accustomed to this style of dancing but she knew the basics. "Your a great dancer." Blake complements.

"Thanks, your not so bad yourself." He returns.

Blake gave him a look. "Really, cause I've stepped on your toes twice now." She points out teasingly.

"Hey, your doing better than Rex." He says gesturing his head over to said guy who was looking down at his feet trying to keep from stepping on Lilly's toes, but judging from her expression he had already done just that.

Blake saw this and giggles lightly. "I suppose." She says turning her beautiful golden yellow eyes back Towards Anakin's sky blue ones. "Thank you."

"For what?" Anakin asks.

"For saving me from myself yesterday." She looks away slightly.

"Hey." He says in a soft tone getting her to look him in the eyes once more. "You've got nothing to be ashamed about. Everyone has their highs and lows, and It's up to the people around them to help steer them back on track."

Blake smiles to this, a faint blush on her cheek. She seems to think about something for a moment. Then she quickly leans in giving him a quick peck on the lips.

"My hero." She says. Anakin blushes at the quick action but a smile comes across his face. His attention then gets side tracked for a moment as he sees Rex giving a ever knowing smirk and a not so discrete thumbs up before returning his hand to his partners waist.

Anakin chuckles lightly to himself before turning his attention to Blake. "So... dose this mean I have a shot, or that were a thing?" He asks with a sheepish smile.

Blake giggles. "So long as your okay with the skeletons in my closet."

Anakin chuckles. "I'm fine with that so long as your okay with mine."

Blake giggles again. "To redemption?"

"To redemption." Anakin nods. After a moment though Anakin speaks up once again. "Though I think I've got more skeletons than you." He says.

Blake laughs. "I don't think that was ever in question." She agrees.

Off to the side on a balcony Ruby and Weiss watch the two. "They got together rather quickly." Ruby says.

Weiss smiles. "Well sometimes it only takes a dance and a nice demeanor. Besides we both know Blake's been crushes on Anakin for a while now."

"Almost as hard as Ruby." Yang says teasingly. "Though I'm glad she quickly grew out of it."

Ruby pouts to Yang's teasing. "First you make me wear a dress and now your teasing me?"

"Oh calm down Rubes. It's just us up here." Yang smirks.

"I would say mission accomplished, but I'm pretty sure none of us planned that." Weiss states.

"Agreed. This win goes to Anakin." Yang states.

Ruby frowns. "So what do we do now?" She asks.

"Have fun!" Yang shouts with glee.

"Indeed. It is a party." Weiss agrees as the two walk away.

Ruby watches them leave but shouts. "Dose this mean I can change out of these stupid things and into my hood now?" Though she doesn't receive an answer.

"Not enjoying yourself?" A familiar voice asks. Ruby quickly looks over to the headmaster.

"Uh, no everything's fine... I'm just not a, fancy, pantsy, dancy girl." She explains.

Ozpin nods. "I see, well you can't spend all of your time on the battlefield. Even you might want to."

"I guess." She looks down sadly.

"You know fighting and dancing are not so different." Ozpin starts gaining Ruby's attention. Ozpin points out towards Pyrrha and Jaune who are laughing as they dance. "Two partners interlocked, though one wrong move on the dance floor merely leads to a swollen foot." He says gesturing to Rex and Lilly who were taking a brake.

"Or a twisted ankle." Ruby adds looking to her friend with sympathy.

"If you want a perfect example of what nights like these can bring merely look at Mister Skywalker, and Miss Belladonna." Ozpin states. "It's nights like these that can bring bonds that will last a lifetime, and in my eyes that young man needed this more than anything. Not mentioning Blake with her more recent need for this."

"What do you mean?" Ruby asks.

"Ruby, Anakin down there has suffered more than any man I've ever met. Not just physically, but mentally." Ozpin explains. "The fact that he has been able to get a complete start over with life means that something, or someone out there agrees with me. Going so far as to join two Vary different worlds, or In his case galaxy."

Ruby nods. "I suppose so."

Ozpin pats Ruby's shoulder. "Its dances like these that are hard to forget. I suggest you go have some fun while there's still fun to be had." With that Ozpin left Ruby alone with her thoughts.

Down below, Crimson and Penny laugh as they dance gleefully. Ironwood glances over every now and then with a slight glare but for the most part keeps his eyes with is dance partner Professor Goodwitch.

With Pyrrha and Jaune, Pyrrha laughs as Jaune leads the dance pulling off some fancy moves every now and then. "Jaune, I had no idea you were a dancer!" She laughs.

"Yeah well these things tend to happen when you grow up with seven sisters." He chuckles.

"Jaune, you have no idea how much all of this means to me." She says.

"What do you mean?" Jaune asks slightly confused. I didn't plan the party. That was all Ruby, Weiss, and Yang. He thought.

Pyrrha giggles. "Coming here with me, asking me out. Especially with that adorable song of yours." She says slowing her pace so Jaune would slow down too. "You've made what would have been a night on the balcony something I'll never forget, and for that..." She trails off leaning in and pressing her lips upon his. Jaune was shocked, but happy at the same time so he melted into the kiss. After a moment they parted. "Thank you." A blush was vary evident on her face and it was made even redder when they heard a few ooo's and Awe's.

One man from across the room shouted "lucky!" Earning a laugh from the small dancing audience.

By Rex and Lilly Ren and Nora approached. "Not a good dancer?" Ren asks with an amused smile.

Rex rolls his eyes. "Sorry but military training never prepared me for it." Nora taps Ren's shoulder before gesturing to the punch bowl. He nods and she takes of with a skip despite her very obviously forced smile. Once she's gone Lilly speaks up.

"Why haven't you asked her for a dance?"

"What do you mean?" Ren asks.

Lilly raises her brow. "You do know she has feelings for you right?"

Ren's eyes widened slightly. "She dose?" He asks earning a nod. "Your sure?"

"Ren, she was talking about it with us girls a while before you showed up. She doesn't think you would ever accept her in that light so she assumes it'll never happen." Lilly explains. "I figured you knew and would do something tonight."

Ren places a hand to his head. How could I have been so stupid. He mentally scolds himself. "Thank you Lilly." Ren bows. "I'll turn this night around for her I promise."

"Don't promise me." Lilly says before gesturing to a pouting Nora by the punch bowl. "Promise her." Lilly smiles.

Ren then turns to Rex. "You mind holding my punch?" He asks.

"Uh sure." Rex states taking the punch. From there Rex and Lilly watch as Ren walks over to Nora. Nora quickly hides her gloomy look and fakes a smile. Rex and Lilly couldn't hear what the two were saying but they noticed Nora gain a surprised look, a tear falling from her eye. She then quickly hugged Ren with the smile of a lifetime. Once they parted Ren offered her his hand and she took it.

Rex looked to Lilly with a smile. "That went well." He said.

Lilly giggles. "Better than your dancing." She jabs.

Rex sheepishly scratch's his neck. "Uh... yeah sorry."

"Nothing to be sorry about. It just means I'm gonna have to teach ya." She says.

Rex smiles. "I look forward to it." He says. "Do you need an ice pack or something though?"

Lilly giggles again. "No, no. My aura has it mostly healed already, just not to sure about dancing for the moment."

Rex takes a seat next to her with a smile. "That's fine." He says before looking from Anakin, to Jaune, to Crimson who just got a kiss from Penny and a death glare from a curtain Atlisian General. After that he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turns to Lilly only for him to score a kiss as well. Once they parted Lilly giggles.

"All in all I'd say Operation Midnight Ball was a complete success for you boys tonight." She says. The two then looked to See Ren's back to them as he danced with Nora who had the biggest smile on her face.

"Yeah." Rex agrees. "I'd have to agree with you there." Rex said with a large smile on his face. The next thing he saw was Nora leaning into Ren for a kiss. "Complete success all around."
