The morning after the party was uneventful in a way, for the most part. Though the fact that Rex and Lilly were no longer the only couple was definitely a change. In team RWBY's dorm Blake was unusually cheerful. Ruby, Weiss, and Yang stare at the bathroom door in shock as they hear Blake singing from the other side.
In JNPR's dorm Ren and Nora had pushed their beds together making it one. On it Nora sleeps soundly snuggled into Ren's chest. Ren himself had woken up but decided to let her sleep and read a book. Pyrrha and Jaune had done the same but the roles were switched with Jaune asleep and Pyrrha awake reading on her scroll an evident smile upon her face.
In SCRL's dorm Anakin was asleep on the floor thanks to rolling off his bed in his sleep. It took everything in Rex not to laugh as he woke up to see this. Crimson smiled, pulled out his scroll, and took a picture. Lilly however was still sound asleep.
Back in RWBY's dorm Blake is now on her bed reading a book with a smile. Suddenly her scroll goes off. Her smile widens for a moment but quickly turns to a frown when she sees it's from Crimson with an attachment. Her curiosity takes over and she opens the image to see Anakin sleeping on the floor with a massive grin on his face. Blake burst out laughing startling Ruby, Weiss, and Yang.
"What is it?" Ruby asks. Blake was laughing so hard she couldn't answer so she just handed her scroll over to her. Once Ruby saw the picture she joined Blake in laughter. Soon enough the laughter was shared by the entire team.
Once they finally calmed down Yang pat Blake on the back. "Just remember Blake, that's your boyfriend." She giggles. Blake blushes with a smile.
Up in Ozpin's office Ozpin sits at his desk with Glenda of to the side. Ironwood stands holding his scroll up to his ear as he had a call.
"Thank you soldier, please pass the message along to My second in command Winter." Iron wood orders as he hangs up the call. He sighs and turns to Ozpin. "What are we going to do Oz? If what Skywalker said is true..."
"If what Skywalker said is true," Ozpin interrupts. "Then no matter how many soldiers you send they will all perish." Ozpin says darkly. "This Count Dooku's capabilities paired with the fact he holds a weapon that seemingly ignores aura means that the Skywalker's are our only hope to beat him." Ozpin explains.
Ironwood scowls. "So what your telling me is that you plan to Just Sit HERE AND WAIT!"
"IT IS NOT!" Ozpin shouts standing up in anger startling the general. "Your a general James, but so was Anakin. Think. When you go to war who do you send in first. The flag bearers or the scouts?" Ironwood sighs before taking a seat on the other side of Ozpin's desk. "Unlike you James, Anakin and Rex have had to fight a war. Two in fact. That coupled with the fact that they are the only counter to Dooku we have? They need to be the one we send out there."
Ironwood puts his hand to his head closing his eyes in thought. "Fine... but we should still at the very least send a Huntsman with them."
Ozpin nods. "On that, I completely agree."
Back in the RWBY dorm Blake begins to leave the room with Yang as Ruby puts headphones on to read a weapons magazine while Weiss began working on what was left of her homework.
"I'm off to get the mail." Yang says. "What about you?"
Blake blushes lightly with a smile. "I'm gonna go and see if the others woke Anakin up." She says.
"DAMIT CRIMSON DELETE IT!!!" Anakin could be heard from the SCRL dorm.
Yang smirks. "Sounds like he's sleeping like a raccoon." Yang jokes.
Blake frowns. "Okay that one was terrible."
"Funny I don't recall telling you my paper joke." Yang grins crossing her arms.
Blake sighs. "Why are you like this?"
Yang rolls her eyes. "Whatever. Go have fun with your boyfriend." Yang says as she walks off.
Blake then turns to the door hearing the sound of scuffling and arguing. Hesitantly she knocks. The arguing continues so she wasn't sure if anyone heard her. It would turn out that someone did as Rex opens the door with a smirk. Behind him Anakin and Crimson froze. Anakin was on the ground mid wrestling with Crimson with his left arm reaching out to take Crimson's scroll. After staring at Blake standing in the doorway the two got off of each other quickly pointing to one another to which Blake smirks and crosses her arms.
The two then hear snickers coming from Lilly holding her scroll up causing both to deflate a bit. "Crimson, I think we're doomed." Anakin says.
"You two are definitely doomed." Blake says. "Oh and Crimson?" She asks gaining the mans attention. "I hope you know she has Penny's scroll number." Blake said gesturing to Lilly.
"Yup!" Lilly grins. "Got it last night!" Crimson pales at the news and Anakin snickers at the mans misfortune.
In the JNPR dorm Pyrrha smiles down at the still sleeping Jaune. His head laid upon her chest and her arm wrapped around him. He looks so cute like this. Pyrrha though happily. She looks over to Ren to see him still reading his book with a smile plastered on his face.
Pyrrha looks at her scroll and frowns. She looks back to Ren and waves to get his attention. I works and the man looks over. Pyrrha then gestures to her wrist signaling that it was time to wake them up. He frowns but looks at his scroll for the time and sighs. Pyrrha then turns her attention to Jaune.
She gently rubs his shoulder while whispering. "Jaune, it's time to get up." The man shuffles a bit but mumbles something along the lines of 'five more minutes'. Pyrrha smile widens at the line finding it cute, but she continued. "Jaune we have to get up." She whispers again." This time Jaune's eyes flutter lightly open when he looks up he sees Pyrrha's heartwarming smiles. Then he realized where he was sleeping.
"S-sorry." He says not remembering how he got in the position he was in.
Pyrrha giggles. "Jaune it's fine." She says hugging him lightly. Jaune then found himself smiling, sighing in content.
Over with Ren he debated about how he should go about waking Nora. Then it hit him. "Nora it's time to make some pancakes." Her eyes shot open by the mere fact that the words pancakes were mentioned but before she shot up she realized that her pillow was a lot sturdier than normal not to mention the warmth. She looked up to Ren's face which held amusement.
That's when she realized that she was snuggled into Ren's chest. "A little longer?" She asks sweetly. Ren chuckles.
"So long as your awake." He smiles. "We get our missions today."
Jaune's eyes flashed in remembrance. "Oh right! I completely forgot." Jaune admits. Pyrrha chuckles at the comment.
Back in the RWBY dorm Yang had returned with a package. "I'm back!" She shouts. Weiss and Ruby look up from their respective places. The bed and the desk. "Also it seems like dad sent us a package." She says more to her sister.
"Ooooh, something from home!" Ruby races over jumping onto Yang's back and furiously trying to swipe the package while Yang giggles as she opens it. Only for a black furry cylinder to pop out. The trio stop every thing to look at it. Then it starts to shuffle before popping out into the shape of a little black and white Corgi dog.
"Zwei!!!!" Ruby cheers.
"Your dad sent a dog!!!!" Weiss shouts
"Oh he dose this sort of thing all the time." Yang waves it off.
Weiss crosses her arms before getting a closer look at the new canine companion. "So your telling me that this Mangy, drooling, mutt, is gonna wive wif us foreva! Oh yes he is,oh yes he is!" She coo's.
In SCRL's dorm the five laugh as Anakin and Rex tell funny war stories while sitting on the beds. Rex was next to Lilly and Anakin was hugging onto Blake. Crimson was just by himself on the same bed as Anakin and Blake.
Rex was currently telling his story about the Rishi moon outpost. "And that's when They ask me to take off my helmet. 'Let me see your face plate' it said so I replied Roger Roger. Acted like I was taking my helmet off but instead grabbed a clankers head of the ground and held it up to the camera." Rex laughs. "From there I stood at the door blasters out and when they opened the doors I swear They looked surprised. Backing up, slightly freaking out, shouting 'Clones!' And I just say 'Roger Roger.' Before blasting the suckers to next week." Rex finishes causing the whole room to burst out with laughter.
Anakin regains some composer to ask. "How have I not heard this one before!" He laughs again.
"Well, we never had much time to tell stories sir- Uh Anakin." Rex stutters.
Lilly playfully nudges Rex's shoulder. "Looks like telling stories is bringing back the 'military language' in him." She teases causing a few more laughs.
That's when the announcements turned on with Glenda's voice over them. "Would the students please report to the amphitheater."
Rex chuckles. "Welp, guess it's time to make some more war stories."
