Goku was on the brink of defeat. Goku black and Zamasu had him pinned against a wall, a blade of purple chi stuck painfully through his torso, and Goku black had grown to the point where he was significantly stronger then Goku anyway. There seemed to be no options left.

Laughing at his victory, Goku Black decided to tell Goku something. He decided to tell him what he did after he stole future Goku's body.

"You were quite shocked at first," he said, "which wasn't a surprise; you must have been very confused since you suddenly had my body. Your wife and child were there too, trying to figure out what in the world had happened. That moron of a woman actually thought you were someone else. That is… until she saw me standing over you three."

Goku's eyes widened. Goku Black sneered, and leaned over Zamasu's shoulder as he continued, "I killed the child first. The woman tried to attack me in a rage, but no mortal could stand up to a god such as myself, and she suffered the same painful fate. And then there was you."

Goku gritted his teeth. He tried again to wiggle his way out, or to break the blade, or anything, but it didn't work. Goten. Chi-chi. Black's words were getting to him.

"At that point," Goku Black continued, "You must have realized fighting me was pointless, as you sat on the ground, and accepted your death. That's what you should do now, Goku. Accept your death," Goku Black frowned again, "It's what all mortals deserve."

Goku struggled for a moment longer, then suddenly, he stopped. He took a shaky breath, and then spoke.

"Kaio-ken times 20."

Goku's power skyrocketed. In just his super saiyan blue form, Goku wasn't strong enough to break Goku Black's chi blade, but now he was twenty times stronger. His scarlet aura destroyed the blade, as well as the wall he was pinned against. Zamasu and Goku Black were pushed away.

Now free to move, Goku rushed forward, and blasted Zamasu out of existence. Zamasu was immortal, and would soon reform, but this would take him out of the fight for the moment. Then, without a word, Goku charged Goku Black, and pushed him out over the ruined city.

A purple cloud of smoke appeared where Zamusu had been, and within a moment, he was back. This was bad; he had no idea Goku knew a technique of the kais, and if he didn't intervene to protect Goku Black, all his plans would never come to fruition. He was just about to fly after them, when someone grabbed him from behind.

"You're not going anywhere." Trunks said. He had realized the same thing Zamasu had; even with Goku Black's incredible potential for growth, Goku was strong enough that he could defeat Goku Black before the villain could gain any more power. But that could only happen as long as Zamasu was restrained.

Zamasu wasn't done yet, though. With a defiant yell, he elbowed Trunks in the stomach twice, then spun around, and kicked Trunks away. Now he was free to go after the two Gokus, but again, as he was just about to take off, someone grabbed him from behind; Vegeta was back in his super saiyan blue form.

"I heard what you and your counterpart did to this world's Bulma." Vegeta said, "Once Goku Black is gone, we'll find a way to deal with you back in our timeline."

Zamasu struggled and spat curses. Vegeta was way too strong for him to escape from.

The saiyan looked over at Trunks, who was getting back up from the ground. "You need to work on your guard, boy." Vegeta scolded him, "now get over here and remove this kai's potara."

Potara? Trunks looked over at Zamasu, who had a small green orb dangling from one ear. "You mean the earring?"

"Yes, the earring!" Vegeta said. "I've had enough of fighting these two sickos. I certainly don't want to bother with whatever their fusion would look like."

That explained what the earrings were for, but Trunks was still confused. Normally, his father would look forward to battling with a more powerful opponent. Maybe it was because the situation had changed drastically when Goku blew up at Goku Black. Or maybe Vegeta had simply grown as a person since the day he let Cell transform out of arrogance.

Whatever the case, Trunks made his way over to the two, pulled off Zamasu's potara, and crushed it in his palm. That one's for you, mom. Trunks thought to himself.

Meanwhile, Goku was beating Goku Black relentlessly. Whenever Goku Black tried to disengage, to take a breath, Goku would wordlessly rush in and continue the pummeling. Even worse, while Goku Black continued to gain strength as the fight went on, the damage he took from Goku's attacks was so severe, he was actually getting weaker and slower. This wasn't supposed to be happening! Goku was a stupid, stinky mortal, while he was a god! He had to turn this around, and destroy this ape for his insolence!

Goku Black caught one of Goku's punches with his own, and let the momentum throw him far away. With this distance, Goku Black was able to catch his breath for a moment, and tried to power up, but he wasn't quick enough. In a flash, Goku was right in front of him again, and punched him in the gut so hard that he could no longer breathe.

"You shouldn't have done this." Goku said.

Goku Black tried to respond, but it was all he could do to get air into his burning lungs. Goku kicked Goku Black away, then flew to catch up to him.

"Not only did you kill everyone who lived here, you did it with a smile on your face. You killed my family, wearing my face." Goku Black tried to attack Goku as he caught up with him, but Goku caught Black's fist, and kneed him.

"What did you think telling me would do? I was already stuck. Did you just want to make me upset?" Goku Black tried to fly away, but Goku slammed him into the ruined land.

On the ground, Goku Black was on his knees, no longer having the strength to stand. He stared up wildy at Goku, who flew down as he narrowed his eyes and gritted his teeth.

"Well, congratulations Zamasu, because now I'm mad! I'm really REALLY MAD!"

Goku punched Goku Black in the chin so hard that his jaw shattered, and his neck broke. The now dying saiyan was thrown high into the air. Goku charged one last kamehameha, and with a roar, he fired chi at the evil impostor until there wasn't a single particle of him left.

Now that the fight was over, Goku powered down. He was shaking, but he took a deep breath, and calmed down. Then, after wiping away some tears, he turned, and flew back to Trunks and Vegeta, where a time machine waited to take him home.

Back to his family.
