When Bella fell asleep for the first night of the last week in Phoenix, something felt different. Her body felt heavier, her sleep came much more quickly, and when she opened her eyes, she had no idea where she was. There was the 'this is a cool place I've never been at, let's explore', then there's the 'why does this place seem familiar, but I've never been here before' that was absolutely terrifying. She was in the latter.
It was dark, with a cloudy sky that almost completely covered the moon, only a sliver of silver lighting a small part of the landscape. She felt the grass beneath her and unsteadily stood- her weight in this dream felt off, like it was almost real, only a thin veil of lightly buzzing nerves telling her it wasn't.
The sound of the wind was all she could hear, whispering through the trees branches in the woods surrounding her. In the small space of the meadow she was in, a well faced her, it's old stone turning white from the moon.
It was an odd place to dream of, she thought. She wasn't necessarily fond of the outdoors, or of being out alone at night. That's when she heard it. Movement through the woods, like heavy thuds against the flora.
Bella looked around, trying and failing to find any kind of movement. When it sounded again, it was closer, and her heart raced faster.
"Whose there?" She called out, remembering it was a dream and not some horror film where calling out would be a dumb idea. She could wake up whenever she wanted.
No response. Just silence. Even the wind seemed to quiet, and the lack it was deafening.
"Hello??" she tried again. She always was far more brave in her dreams.
A shift, breaking a twig on the ground barely a few feet away. Despite the urges her body told her to back away, she stepped forward, inspecting what she could with the little light, observing what silhouettes she could make out.
"Who are you?" she nearly felt foolish- it could have just been an animal. Perhaps that's why she asked- hoping for a human response.
Then a human silhouette broke through the tree line, and became visible to her. Bella sighed in relief, though the muscles in her body remained taught, unsure of how to respond.
"The better question is, who are you?" he asked.
"Bella."
"It's nice to meet you Bella. My name is Jacob. I must ask... why... I'm sorry... how are you here?"
The question confused her. It was her dream, why was he there? Though she wasn't accustomed to her imagined dream characters to ask her something like that.
"I'm not sure how to answer that." she said honestly. "Aren't I just dreaming?"
"But I'm dreaming. This is my families land, this place is something I dream of often. Is this recognizable to you at all?"
"It's dark, so I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think so."
"We're in Forks, Washington."
That's where her dad lived, and where she was moving in a week.
"Oh... I've been to Forks, but I don't think I've been here, exactly"
"So where are you now, then?" he asked, trying to make sense of it all.
"Arizona."
Faintly, she could make out Jacob running a hand through his hair. He seemed frustrated, though she didn't understand why. So she dreamt of someone in the town she was about to move to, most likely to make herself feel less alone when she went.
"Okay, where did you start, when you got here?"
Bella turned around and pointed to the well, then remembered he couldn't really see her. "There was this old well in front of me, in this meadow."
His head snapped up at that.
"Has this happened before?"
"No, this is the first time I've dreamt of this place at all."
"Hmm."
"What? What are you not saying?"
"It's best I don't tell you right away, this may be something different. If you keep coming back over the course of this week then we'll know for sure. Do you ever recall visiting the well at any point when you were here? In Forks, I mean."
"No, but I was really young when I visited, so I guess it's possible."
"Hmm. Well, I suppose since you're here I should give you a tour."
A tour? Of what, exactly? she thought.
"A little dark for that, don't you think?"
"It's my dream, remember? I can fix that."
Oh. Right.
Right after he'd said it, the clouds moved from the moon and allowed the silver light to flood the land, finally showing her who the man was. Tall, dark, and handsome would be an understatement. His bare, hardened abs held that dark, toned tan, his pants hung loose around his waist, showing off a deep set V. Before he could fully set in, however, he'd suddenly dropped to his knees, staring out into space.
"Oh my god!" she dropped down in front of him. "Are you okay?"
Jacob didn't respond, and she waited for whatever episode he was having to pass. As she watched him, she felt more in tune to him, more caring towards him than she would a stranger, or honestly for anyone else she knew. A strange feeling enveloped her, a warmth spreading across her body, and something electric that she simply couldn't name or place.
"I'm sorry, I--" he broke off, still catching his breath from whatever it was he'd just experienced. "I'm okay."
"Does that happen often?" She asked, helping him to his feet.
"No, that uh... that was a one time thing."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"I do, but, I'll need to explain it later, if that's okay."
Curiosity burned in her stomach, but she didn't push. "That's fine. As long as you're okay."
Jacob looked down at her with a mix of amusement and awe, the latter being a look she'd become used to within the passing hour, as she toured the area with him. It was all rather plain, though beautiful in that plainness, until he took her through the woods and she caught a glimmer of the moonlight hitting waters surface.
It was a lake, wide enough to keep her from seeing the shore on either side. The water was nearly unnaturally silver as it glimmered and sparkled as it's waves moved against the rock at the shore nearest them.
"Wow."
"It's beautiful, isn't it? My family likes to camp and fish here when we can."
"I've never seen anything like it. Can only your family access it?"
"Yes, well, my family and whoever we grant access to."
"How long has it been in your family?"
"Oh, for over a century I think. Lots of stories here."
"I'd imagine so. Maybe you'll tell me some sometime?"
He smiled down at her, and if her stomach wasn't in knots from the butterflies, it was now. "Absolutely."
They walked and talked for what seemed like hours, the dream brightening from the dead of night to early morning as the sun peaked over the mountains. At that point, Jacob had laid out a blanket in the meadow and they laid there, watching the sky as it changed colors.
"I hope you're real." she said softly, entertaining her thoughts aloud.
"I promise you, I am." He'd tell her to find him in Forks if she ever visited again, but he knew he'd find her if she didn't. What was going to be hard, was refraining from visiting her before the week was up. But it was important that he didn't.
The legend of the well wasn't well known, and his family had very few stories to tell of it. He couldn't risk ruining its magic by meeting her before the seven days were up, because he didn't know what would happen if he did.
Bella woke before the sun had fully risen in the dream, waking with the sun mid sky. It was later than she normally got up, and still, all she wanted was to go back.
The following evening, the image of the dream came even more easily than the night before, landing her in a small room of what seemed to be a rustic cabin. The floors of the room were a weathered wood, and the bed in front of her had a beautifully built frame with wolf designs etched into the head board. Then she realized the bed was occupied.
Bella watched as he slept, waiting for him to wake up. The window beside him showed that it was day, this time, early morning from the looks of it as a light fog settled over his yard, and dew still sparkled on the blades of grass.
"Good morning." he said sleepily, catching sight of her as she looked outside.
"Good morning."
Bella was close enough to his bed for him to reach her, and in his haze, he pulled her by the waist and into his bed with him. She squealed in surprise but otherwise didn't fight it, instead letting him hold her, his warm body pressed behind hers.
"Tell me something about you." she said softly, not wanting to fully wake him if it meant he'd let her go, but too curious of him to not take advantage of their time.
"Mmm..." he nuzzled her hair. "I'm obsessed with waffles."
"Waffles, huh?" she laughed. "Plain or?"
"No way. They've got to be absolutely smothered in strawberry syrup."
"Hmm, I'll have to keep that in mind."
"Your turn."
"What?"
"Tell me something about you."
"Oh, um... my favorite color is green."
"Green like an apple?"
"No, green like the forest."
"That's a good color." he said softly, and tightened his grip on her. She could faintly make out a growing bulge pressed against her back, and considering it wasn't full, he had to be massive. Bella tried not to think about that, she didn't even know him, let alone did she have any experience in the matter.
There was something about him though, that had spurred thoughts she didn't normally have as a general whole, let alone with another person. It was the comfort, the warmth she felt with him, the need to be with him, next to him, intertwined with him. It should have scared her.
"You're really comfortable." she said in nearly a moan as she settled against him more. Jacob only made an agreeable sound, then rubbed her sides, his pinky slipping beneath the hem of her shirt. He rested his hand there, firm and warm.
Several minutes passed of just the silence, of the comfort laying with him, until he finally fully woke and sat up, keeping a hand on her as he did.
"Come on, I want to show you something." Jacob said, and climbed over her and out of bed. Bella followed him from his quaint little house and out to the road, but before they could really make the trip down it, his location in mind suddenly came front and center.
"The guys and I jump from here sometimes, but I enjoy coming out here for the view. Plus, not too many people venture up this far. Most people can't."
"And you guys can?"
"We have special... strengths that help." he said vaguely.
"And you guys jump-- from here?" she asked, wondering how the hell anyone had the courage to jump from such a high spot. They stood on top of a massive cliff, several hundred feet above the water. It was beautiful, she'd give him that, but the only reason she wasn't completely terrified was because he was there with her.
Jacob laughed, "Yeah, crazy right? When I first saw people jumping from here, I thought the same thing. When I got older though... there was this itch to join the club so to speak."
"Well you're far more adventurous than I am. I don't think I could ever do something like that."
"Maybe we could do it here, now. It's just a dream, it would a lot easier than doing it for real."
"I don't know about that. These dreams with you feel far more real than my others. I can actually feel things here. In my other dreams, I can't. Hell, I barely remember them to begin with, but yours I remember every detail."
He wanted to tell her why that was, but kept his silence. Though it did give him great pleasure to know she could feel him as he did her. It made him wonder how far he could take things in the dreamscape, especially considering he could lose her in six days. Not lose, really, seeing as he'd always know where she was, always be able to find her. But the fact was, he couldn't move to Arizona to be with her.
"How about we just camp up here? Make it a s'mores night."
"Now that sounds like something I can get on board with."
Bella hated the outdoors. But here? With him? She wanted all of it.
The scene changed, turning the bright morning sky to the dark of night, bright stars scattered across it as far as the eye could see. Atop the cliff, a small tent perfectly sized for the two of them, and a large fire place with sticks ready to go in front of it.
They sat along the wooden benches around the fire and each took a stick, building up marshmallows on their sticks before roasting them over the fire. Jacob sat right beside her, his ankle tucked beneath hers and an arm wrapped around her, as if they did this daily. The simple ease they shared was something she'd never known.
"Tell me something else." she said, watching the fire dance across his defined face.
"Let's see... I build motorcycles."
"Oh yeah? How long have you been doing that?"
"A couple of years now, I really wanted a ride to school and my dad said that if I could fix up his old bike, I could take it out when I turned sixteen. I found I enjoyed the work and sort of kept doing it, collecting bikes from the impound or trash yards. Keeps me busy."
"That's great. Do you do any mechanic type stuff for work?"
"Yeah, dad got me a job up the road with a friend of his. I like it, but I'm not sure it's what I want to do forever."
"You've got time to figure that out."
"That's true. What about you, any hobbies?"
"I read a lot, but outside of that, not really. My mom is an artist and my dad's a cop, I didn't really get any of those skill sets from either of them."
"Reading is great though. It lets you escape into someone else's world, assuming the writer knows what they're doing."
"Exactly! The writing is everything."
"Are you reading anything now?"
"Interview with a Vampire."
Jacob let out a snort of a laugh.
"What!?"
"Nothing. What do you think of it?"
"The book is great, but not a favorite. I prefer the stories with werewolves if I'm going that route, or the average murder mystery."
"Is that right? Hypothetically speaking, if you could be with a vampire or a werewolf, which would you choose?"
"Oh, werewolf, hands down."
"Really... why?"
Bella shrugged. "Vampires are cold and manipulative in the stories. Werewolves are the opposite. They're inhumanly warm, and the best protectors out of all the legends."
"Are the legends something you're interested in, or just like to read in books?"
"No, I'm genuinely interested in it. Part of me swears they're real even though I've never met one. It's silly, I know. Scientifically speaking, there's no proof of any of the legends."
"It's not silly. I think the same thing."
Part of her was relieved by that, knowing she didn't sound completely idiotic. Bella's marshmallows were finished, an even golden color all the way around, and removed it from then fire and assembled her s'more. Jacob held his deeper in the fire until it caught fire, then he blew it out, called it good, and assembled his.
"My grandmother liked hers burnt. I could never jump on board with that one."
"I used to hate them, but taste buds change over time."
They talked for hours, about their likes and dislikes, their interests, and fears. Eventually they laid together in the tent, Bella naturally falling against his chest, craving his comfort. Jacob hadn't taken his hands off of her since he'd seen her that night, and she wouldn't have had it any other way. It was odd, in hindsight, how close they'd become as quickly as they did. But it worked. It felt... right.
Jacob kissed the top of her head and rubbed her arm, before squeezing and pulling her closer. She wrapped a leg around one of his, her knee arching up to his mid thigh. Bella wanted to be closer, she never felt close enough, but found it unlikely that she would ever feel close enough.
"This is nice." he murmured against her hair.
"It is. I haven't felt this comfortable with anyone, ever."
"I know what you mean."
"Don't you think it's strange?" she asked, propping herself up on an elbow to look down at him. "Being this... I don't know... comfortable? We don't even actually know each other."
"Sure we do. Collectively, we've practically talked nonstop for a full day about ourselves."
"Yeah but... it's still a dream. I find it unlikely that we'd really meet outside of this. That you're actually real. I mean, it's a dream."
Jacob shrugged. "Stranger things have happened. But if you'd like to know why you're here, I think it's safe to tell you, but you have to keep an open mind."
Bella sat back on her ankles and waited. He sat up, too, and delved right into the legend of the well.
"A few hundred years ago, legend says that a witch cast a spell on the waters of the lake I showed you last night. The well you arrived at feeds from that water. It's said that anyone who makes a well intended wish, would be granted that wish. They'll dream of it for seven days, and when it's over, they have twenty four hours to find each other or the spell is broken, and it may never be found again." he said the last part sadly and looked away from her, as if it broke him to think that would happen to them.
"So wait... you're telling me I would have made a wish at the well at some point in my life, and that wish was you?"
"Not directly. You may have wished for a best friend, or to have eternal love."
Bella thought back to her earliest memories when her parents were still together, then after when her mother would bring her for summer visits. Then she remembered.
"Oh my god."
"What? Do you remember something?"
"Yeah, actually..."
"Well? What is it?"
"When I was ten, my mom brought me to visit my dad. They had a fight and I went for a walk to be away from it all. I came across an old well, and I made a wish that I'd be loved by someone that would never break my heart." she admitted shyly. She'd never told anyone that before.
Jacob nodded knowingly. "Then that's why you're here."
"So... we're meant to be... you're meant to be... that person?"
He nodded again.
"Does that bother you?" she asked, knowing she wasn't exactly an ideal girlfriend. She wasn't the prettiest or the smartest, had no true talent and--
"Not one bit."
Oh.
"There's actually another part to that, not to the well, but to me, that makes me very grateful that you made that wish, and that the wish led you here, with me of all people."
"Of all people?"
Jacob scoffed. "Come on, Bells. You're out of my league, and we both know it."
Bella laughed, loudly, at that.
"Oh yes. That's not the case at all, it's actually quite the opposite I think." she told him, trying to ignore the new nickname he'd given her, and how much she liked it. He simply smiled at her, and leaned in closer.
"Don't you want to know what it is?"
"What what is?"
"The other thing."
Shit. She'd totally forgotten he'd mentioned it. "Of course I do!"
"Well you'll have to wait."
"Until when?"
"Until I see you in person."
"Then you'll see me at the end of the week."
At that, excitement spread across his features and pure joy in his eyes. Bella melted at that.
"What!? And you're just now telling me!?"
"Sorry... I wasn't sure what all this was. Who you really were. My dad lives there and I'm moving there to be with him while my mom and her husband travel."
"Wait, who's your dad?"
"I guess you'll have to wait."
"Until when!?"
"Until I see you." she mocked. Jacob rolled his eyes and prayed her information, but he didn't get it.
"Well, while I wait... can I ask you for something?"
"Of course. Name it."
"I'd really, really like to kiss you." he said in a low voice, leaning in closer as his body brushed against hers.
"I'd like that too." she almost whispered.
With that approval, Jacob slipped a finger beneath her chin, tilted her face to meet his, and slowly lowered himself until their lips met. It was warm and inviting, and like everything else she shared with him, it was utterly electric. His tongue slipped into her mouth and enveloped her, heat soaring into her, traveling down to her chest, her belly, then lower.
Bella wrapped her arms around his neck and he grasped her by the waist and hauled her into his lap as he deepened the kiss, pulling her close against him. His hands traveled beneath her shirt and up her back, leverage to press her closer still. Naturally, they fell back together and the kissing changed from an almost innocent, basic make out session, to something much more as his lips traveled down her neck and collar bone, to the skin of her chest exposed above her tank top.
She was grateful that he'd never changed her appearance in his dreams, never dressed her in something promiscuous, never altered any parts of her body to his liking. It made her feel accepted, wanted for who she already was. Bella moaned lightly at his touch, almost overwhelmed by the pleasant pin pricks his touch sent across her nerve endings.
"Bella, if we don't stop--"
"I don't want to."
With that, she felt his bulge again, but this time, he was firm and fully erect beneath her, his length covering her. From it, she knew just how right she was about that morning. Just like before, it instantly aroused her, and sent all of those thoughts racing through her again.
"This could go further than you want it to."
"I don't care how far it goes." she breathed, "As long as it's with you." The truth in that surprised her, and the last two nights with him made her forget that it was all she'd known with him. Instead, it felt like they'd known each other forever, like he was some long lost love she finally got back, and felt that heat build inside of her, making her unconsciously rock her hips against him.
"Fuck Bells." he groaned, then adjusted until he could take hold of her, and flip her on her back. Jacob hovered over here trying desperately to keep himself under control. It wasn't easy.
Bella leaned forward and drew him in for another kiss, and in the same moment, Jacob drew his hands beneath the front of her shirt, feeling the smooth skin of her stomach as he pinned her back down, never breaking contact. He gripped her sides and ground himself into her, needing the contact of her warmth against him. He couldn't remember ever being as hard as he was with her, completely driven by how much he already, instantly, loved her. Driven by the need to be as close as he could be to her- no. Closer.
Surprising him, Bella reached for his hands and moved them up her body until he was cupping her breasts, which he hadn't realized were bare beneath the thin fabric of her shirt. A low growl emanated from him and he gripped her harder before taking in each nipple between his thumb and forefinger, and rolled them. Bella bit her lip and moaned softly, a sound he wished he could replay for hours.
Finally, Bella stripped off her shirt and left her bare, naked torso for his perusal. Jacob lowered himself and flicked his tongue against each nipple, then drew them into his mouth and sucked, hard, before drawing each one between his teeth. She writhed beneath him, continuously, torturously, rubbing herself against him.
Before he thought much of it, his subconscious led the dream, removing his pants and leaving him naked above her. Her eyes widened when she realized he'd been freed, his cock jutting out against the exposed skin of her thigh.
"Shit, I'm so sorry, I--"
"It's fine, I just... I've never..."
"We don't have to if--"
"I want to." she said, drawing him back down. In that moment, the rest of her clothes disappeared, and the tip of him lightly grazed her. On contact, she drew herself up and against him, feeling him glide against her already wet sex. They both moaned together, and Jacob finally broke his haze of trying and failing to restrain himself.
Slowly, he adjusted himself and eased into her entrance, despite wanting to absolutely ram into her. He wanted her that badly. But it was her first time, even if it wasn't really her first time- it was the closest thing she'd have before they were united, and he wanted to make it suitable for her.
However, Bella's urgent motions against him told him she wanted anything but ease, and promised himself that he'd give her what she wanted after the first initial pass- he had no idea if he could cause her pain in the dream. But as he fully buried himself in her, she never once flinched or cried out, so he knew he couldn't. He'd have to warn her of that before they really were together.
When Jacob drew out, Bella slammed herself up and into him, crying out his name when she did. At her elevation, he gripped her hips and held her there, then slammed into her, once, twice, three times, before pulling out. Bella moved into him again, needing the contact, and he quickly replaced it with his fingers, delving three into her to help replace what was there before. He hooked against her top wall and moved rapidly inside of her, using his other hand to tease and pinch her nipples. Bella rode his hand like her life depended on it, so quickly enthralled by their connection.
When he felt her cum around him and she relaxed back on the hard ground, he lowered himself and lapped his tongue against her wetness.
"Jacob!"
"What?"
"I'm... sensitive."
"That's what makes it even better."
Bella cried out again when he returned to her, lapping his long tongue inside of her as his thumb toyed with her clit. After he returned to fingering her, licking her exposed flesh, it didn't take long for her to find another release. When she finished, Jacob laid back and slipped an arm beneath her, tugging to pull her to his chest again. She remained where she was, eyeing his still erect cock.
"What about you?"
"I'm not worried about that."
"I am." she said, and moved herself on top of him, slipping him back inside of her. She threw her head back and moaned, unintentionally driving her nails into his back. He growled again and took hold of her ass, pushing her harder into him.
"Fuck, I'm going to--" he didn't finish his statement before she came off, and lowered her mouth to him, circling the tip with her tongue before taking him in, and within seconds he came against her tongue.
"Bella! Are you ready honey?" Renee called, and Bella flew down the steps two at a time.
"I'm good to go, my stuff is already in the truck."
"Oh. Great. Alright, we'll. Let's get going then."
They loaded themselves into the car and headed off for the airport. "Now remember, your dad is getting you at your gate so don't wander off, okay?" her mother explained.
"Okay." Of course she remembered. She knew the plan better than her mother did, as she'd analyzed each detail to know when she'd see Jacob. The week they'd spent together was more than she could ever hope for, with a healthy mix of sex and genuine adventure and fun conversations.
As expected, Charlie was late. Against instruction, she went outside and found him in the pick up area, clearly too flustered to find parking if she knew her father as well as she thought she did.
"Hey Bella." he said in greeting, wrapping her in an awkward hug.
The childhood nickname he'd always used for her now seemed wrong coming from him.
"Hey dad. Traffic okay?"
"It never is." he said, taking her bags and throwing them into the back of his cop car.
The ride home was quiet, and Bella simply watched out the window, barely remembering the images from so long ago. When they got to his house though, she was taken off guard by another, fairly recognizable, truck in the drive- occupied by what appeared to be two men.
Charlie parked and helped her get her bags from the trunk, and the driver of the truck stepped out, instantly moving around the car for the passenger. The moment he stepped out, Bella froze.
"Bella? What's wrong?" Charlie asked.
At the nickname, the man turned around quickly, his eyes finding her instantly. It was him.
"Jacob! This is my daughter I'd told you about, Isabella."
"It's nice to meet you." Jacob said, giving her a small wink. She smiled broadly and shook his hand.
"It's uh... nice to meet you too."
"Jake! You coming?" The passenger of the truck yelled out.
"Shit. Coming dad!"
Jacob raced over to the truck and withdrew a wheelchair from the bed, then wheeled it over to the passenger side. He helped his father into the chair and brought him to where Charlie and Bella stood.
"Bella... I doubt you remember me, I haven't seen you in years. I'm Billy, Jacob's dad."
"Yeah, hey Billy. I remember you, you were the one always trying to get me to gut a fish after a fishing trip." she said, disgust written across her face.
Billy laughed. "That's one way to remember me. You and Jake here used to make mud pies together."
"Yeah? I can't say I remember that one." she said, looking up to a very bemused Jacob.
"How about when I chased you with worms?"
"Ohhhhh... I remember you now."
Jacob grinned devilishly, and it went straight to the butterflies dancing around in her stomach.
"Come on inside Bella, we'll get you situated."
While Billy and Charlie visited downstairs, Jacob helped Bella bring up her luggage, and set them down on the bed.
"Purple, huh?"
"It was my favorite color... when I was five."
"Don't have the heart to tell him, huh?"
"Not at all." she admitted, laying down a suitcase beside the one he'd just put down. The moment it was out of her hands, Jacob moved behind her and spun her to him, then brought her in for a deep, long hug.
"I'm so glad you're here." He whispered against her ear.
"Me too." she said, and pulled away from him slightly. Jacob searched her eyes and as if he found an answer there, he lowered himself and kissed her softly.
"God, it feels good to do that for real."
Bella laughed, "That it does."
"Hey!" Charlie called. "You guys coming down?"
"We'll be right there!" She called back.
"So, now that I'm here, can you tell me about the other thing?"
"Later, I promise." he kissed the top of her head, and let her lead the way down the stairs.
After a few long hours of simple conversation, Jacob and Bella were finally able to leave the house and just hang out. He took her to the same woods from the dream, parking along the side of the street as he normally had. They got deep enough from view of the road, before Jacob turned to her.
"It's better that I show you what I am, before I can explain what the other thing is. I need you to keep an open mind again, okay?"
"Okay..." she said hesitantly, wondering what he meant by 'what he was'.
Jacob gave a good distance between them, before he started shedding his clothes. Bella's eyes were locked on him, and she'd entirely forgotten that this was the real world, and very real people could see him like that.
Once he was entirely undressed, he looked at her seriously and said, "I won't hurt you, just remember that, alright?"
Despite her confusion, she nodded.
Then, it happened. His body bent and contorted, and as painful as it was for her to experience, he didn't seem to be in pain. Knowing that, she let herself relax against the nearest tree, and she waited. Jacob dropped to all fours and before even mere seconds could pass, his human form was replaced by a massive brown wolf, taller than her even as he was laying down against the forest's floor.
It has the same eyes as his. The same soft temperament as the animal nudged her calves, and somehow she knew he was asking her for her opinion.
"This is... incredible." she said, running her hands through the fur between his ears, then down along his face and neck. He was so soft, and even warmer than his human form.
It wasn't long before he'd changed back and redressed, observing her the entire time, waiting to see her back away from him, waiting for the millions of questions if she chose to stay. But she didn't move, and she didn't ask any questions, except for one.
"So... what does this have to do with the other thing?"
Jacob barked out a laugh- of course she was perfectly calm. Of course she was fine with all of it. She really did amaze him.
"As a wolf, we can imprint. It's like soulmates for humans with a few large differences. With soulmates, you can have multiple for different reasons. For an imprint, that means it's just that person for us, and no one else. It makes me be anything you need me to be, even if that means I'll never get to be with you the way I want, but I don't think that'll be the issue with us." he explained, drawing her into his chest, needing her comfort.
"Well, I'm certainly glad I dreamt of you then. Because I honestly can't imagine I'd have met someone I wanted to be with for the rest of my life otherwise."
"I know what you mean. I think we should plan for some time together, given how Charlie has practically been trying to get us together since before we reunited, I don't think it'll be much of an issue."
"I think you under estimate me."
"Is that right? Let's try then." he said, drawing out his phone.
"What are you doing...?"
"Calling Charl-- Hey, Charlie! Bella and I are out and found a great spot to camp. Do you mind if I steal her from you for the evening? -- Uhuh... sure, no problem... yeah, got it... thanks Charlie. See you tomorrow."
"What did he say?"
"First he laughed at the idea of you camping, then threatened if I didn't bring you back in one piece by noon tomorrow, he'd have the squad on my ass."
"Well that was strangely easy."
"I've been working him the whole time you've been away." he teased. "I've practically got him wrapped around my finger."
"Uh-huh. And exactly how are we going to camp without supplies?"
Jacob shot her another devilish grin.
"Oh no. What do you have planned?"
"We aren't camping at all, at least not outside. I've got a place." He said, bringing her back to the car.
Jacob's place was a small tin shed that looked entirely unused. The door opened to a make shift bike garage with a small variety of broken bikes and tools strewn around them.
"Jacob, these are great!" she said excitedly, running her hands over one of the smaller bodies. It impressed her that people could work on things like that, she couldn't even begin to understand how it all worked.
"Yeah, they're works in progress. Mine is over there" he pointed to the bike closest to the door, a sleek, clean black bike that suited him perfectly.
"It's nice, it suits you. But... where are we camping exactly?"
"It's back here, come on."
Bella followed him through another door in the back of the shed, which opened up to a small bedroom, different than the one she'd seen in his dream earlier in the week.
"My actual bedroom is in the house, this one is great for skipping class or when my projects run late, or if there's bad weather and I just don't want to make the trip up the hill."
"It's actually pretty genius."
Jacob wrapped his arms around her from behind and held her for a moment, glad now that he had the separate room, now that he had her to enjoy it with. "Do you think you'll be comfortable here?"
Bella turned around and cupped his cheek. "What do you think?" she said, then drew him down for a kiss. It started soft and sweet, then deepened as he pressed into her.
The bed was only a foot or so away and Jacob lifted her, and walked her to it, their kiss never breaking. The moment her back hit the bed, she stripped off her shirt, then her pants, as he did the same. Left in just her bra and underwear, he admired the sight of her for a moment before giving in to the heat raging through him. It was bad. He had to have her. It took him a moment to remind himself that she was still, technically, a virgin.
Jacob lowered himself over her, one hand propping him up as the other lightly glided across her body as he kissed her softly. It took her a moment to calm from the frenzied affair they'd had constantly in the week before, to reach his level. Once she did, she settled comfortably beneath him, letting him explore her body as he saw fit.
She was glad it was him, as she may have felt self conscious or awkward with anyone else. The way he touched her was as if he was trying communicate through it, how deeply he cared for her. She knew. She knew, because she felt the same way. Whether it was the imprint, or pure, natural emotion, she didn't care. She just wanted him.
Light vibrations ran through her nerve endings as he trailed his hand across her belly, then dip beneath her underwear. He slid against her, his rough palm making her ache in the best way, before his fingers delved inside, filling her. Jacob bit her lower lip lightly and pulled, before separating from her and kneeling at the base of the bed, positioning himself between her legs.
Slowly, he dragged the fabric down past her ankles and disposed of them near the door. It was less than a second. It had to have been. Bella had barely caught her breath before his face was buried against her, his tongue torturing every inch of her.
No. This wasn't happening this way. She wanted more of him. Bella brought him back up and turned him to his back, kissing him lightly before lowering herself beside him and wrapping her hand and mouth around him.
It was harder to manage than it was in the dream, but only slightly. The low groans that came from him encouraged her and she took him deeper, her tongue lining the underside as she moved against him. Wrapping her hand around his base, she twisted lightly, and with it, Jacob wrapped his hands in her hair and pulled while lightly pushing her face into him.
Something about it made her moan around him and he moaned again, louder, laced with nonverbal pleas. In the dreams he'd been rough with her, as had been a cue from her. Now though, knowing she was still a virgin, the soft side that came out did something new to her, and when he pushed her into him like that, that something shook and spread heat through her entire body.
Bella raised herself from her position and twisted to lay over him, letting him ground against her, groaning against her throat as he kissed down it. The waiting was killing her, and she didn't want to wait anymore.
Lifting herself from his continuous thrusting, she slipped back down, nudging him slowly inside of her. Jacob stilled for a moment, grabbing her hips and keeping her from moving.
"Baby, stay slow, it's going to hurt." he warned.
"I know." She lowered herself to kiss him, keeping her body flush with his as she continued to inch her way down.
When the pain came, he bit her shoulder lightly where he'd been kissing her, keeping her mind from it. It took a few passes before the pain ebbed away and the tension in her body released.
"Now that you can't hurt me, what are you going to do?" she asked, grinding her hips against him and holding him as deeply as she could, enjoying the way he felt.
"You can't ask me things like that." he gritted. Jacob was barely holding on to his last scrap of self restraint, and the fact that she was entirely unexpected was not helping.
Knowing that outside of her dreams, she had absolutely no actual experience, he expected she'd be more drawn back, shy. That's what he'd prepared himself for. Yet she seemed as desperate for him as he was of her- and that knowledge made every last bit of his restraint drop.
Jacob flipped her onto her back, pushing deeper into her as they moved. The muscles around him tightened and pulled, her soft moans echoing the pleasure it gave him. She arched into him, and he laid a pillow beneath her, allowing her temporary confusion as he pulled back, then slammed into her.
She cried out, and as he continued the harsh movements she began to string together a line of obscure obscenities. It was a process, keeping her close enough to the edge without falling until he wanted her to, and the lack of mental awareness was a good sign that the process was working.
"Turn over." It was a demand, though still soft.
Turned on her stomach, he pressed a hand to her back while he adjusted himself against her, sliding between the tightness of her pressed legs, then inside of her. The angle made her hug him even tighter..
"Is this what you wanted?" he cooed. Her face pressed into the pillow, he could make out an agreeable moan.
Jacob gripped her hips and fucked her, hard, spreading her ass apart to get himself as deep as possible. The louder her moans grew, the closer to his own edge he became. Bella was close, he could feel it, and to push her further, he slipped a finger inside of her, stretching her more around his cock as he hooked against her back wall.
Bella's strength weakened, her muscles beginning to shake around him. With it, he picked up speed, until she finally came, a long, "Jacob" coming from her in a moan. He pulled out of her and began working his length to find his own release, until she turned and wrapped her own hands around it, kissing up his chest and neck as she did. He came, hard, and she pressed herself into him, letting it go against her stomach.
"Damn it, Bells." he said, falling back with her against the bed.
"What?"
"I fucking love you."
There was no helping it, it was coming out whether he liked it or not.
"I love you too."
Bella snuggled close to his chest, and shortly after, they fell asleep together, despite it still being mid day.
