Carths Fleet:
One Hammerhead-class cruiser, the RSS Nova Spire.
Two Foray-class blockade runner the RSS Typhoon and the RSS Royal Harbinger.
In the year 3957 BBY, a man adorned in the official garb of a republican admiral was absorbed in scrutinizing the mission reports that expounded their chief aim to make peaceful contact with people of what the republic has classified as Sol Three. Just as he was on the verge of concluding the final report, the door creaked open, and a person walked in, whom he instantly recognized upon glancing up.
"My dear, have you finished reviewing the mission reports?" Revan asked.
"Indeed, I have just finished the last one, Revan," Carth replied, grinding his teeth.
"That's good, now we can get to the most important part of the day," Revan said.
"And what would that be?" Carth inquired.
"Dinner of course dear" Revan started with a playful smile.
Carth couldn't help but chuckle at her enthusiasm for food. Revan had always been a foodie, and she took great pleasure in sampling various cuisines from all corners of the galaxy. As they made their way to the mess hall, Carth couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. Being with Revan always made him feel at ease, and he couldn't imagine his life without her.
As they sat down for dinner, Revan took the opportunity to broach a subject that had been weighing on her mind for a while now.
"Carth, I know we've been together for a while now, but I feel like there's something that we need to talk about," she said, looking at him intently.
Carth immediately tensed up, wondering what could be bothering her. He had always been a bit apprehensive about their relationship, given their different backgrounds and the fact that they were both soldiers serving the republic.
"What is it, Revan? Is everything okay?" he asked, trying to keep his tone neutral.
"I just wanted to know if you've given any thought to our future together," Revan said, her eyes searching his face for any sign of discomfort.
Carth took a deep breath, realizing that this was a conversation that they needed to have sooner or later.
"I have, Revan. And I know that our lives are uncertain, given the work that we do. But I want you to know that I care for you deeply, and I want to be with you for as long as I can," he said, reaching out to take her hand in his.
Revan's face softened, and she squeezed his hand back.
"That's all I needed to hear, Carth. I love you, and I want to be with you too," she said, a smile playing on her lips.
As they finished their meal, Carth felt a sense of relief wash over him. He knew that their lives would never be easy, but as long as they had each other, they could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Next Day
As Carth and Revan stood on the bridge of the Nova Spire as the ship came out of hyperspace over the planet designated as Sol Three, Carth couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. They had been preparing for this mission for months, and now it was finally time to make contact with the inhabitants of this previously unknown world.
"Are you ready for this, Carth?" Revan asked, looking over at him with a serious expression.
Carth nodded, steeling himself for whatever lay ahead.
"I am. Let's make history," he said, a determined look on his face.
As they began the descent to the planet's surface, Carth couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the beauty of the world beneath them. Lush forests, sparkling oceans, and snow-capped mountains all passed beneath the ship's hull as they made their way to their landing site.
As the ship touched down, Carth and Revan made their way to the airlock, donning their helmets and stepping out onto the alien soil. They were greeted by a group of what appeared to be soldiers with a tactical vest on top a uniform colors green, brown and tan.
"Greetings, we come in peace," Carth said, holding up his hands in a sign of goodwill.
The soldiers looked at them suspiciously, their hands on their weapons.
"What is your purpose here?" one of them asked, his voice gruff.
"We are explorers from the Galactic Republic, and we have come to make peaceful contact with your people," Revan said, trying to sound as diplomatic as possible.
The soldiers exchanged a few words amongst themselves before one of them spoke up.
"Follow us. Our leader will want to speak with you," he said, motioning for them to follow.
Carth and Revan followed the soldiers through the lush forests and arrived at a large clearing where a tent was set up. As they approached, a man came out of the tent, flanked by more soldiers.
"Who are you and what do you want?" the man asked, eyeing them with suspicion.
Carth stepped forward, holding out his hand in a sign of friendship.
"We come in peace, and we wish to establish a dialogue between our two peoples," he said, hoping that he sounded convincing enough.
The man hesitated for a moment before nodding his head.
"Very well. But you must understand that we are a sovereign nation, and we will not be dictated to by outsiders," he said, his tone firm.
Carth and Revan nodded, understanding the man's concerns.
"We respect your sovereignty, and we only seek to learn from you and share our knowledge with you," Revan said, hoping to ease the tension in the air.
The man nodded, seeming to relax a bit.
"Very well. Let us talk," he said, motioning for them to follow him into the tent.
As they sat down to talk, Carth and Revan couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of making first contact with an alien civilization. They knew that this was a historic moment, and they were determined to make the most of it.
Once they were in the tent they sat down around a small table, Carth and Revan began to explain the purpose of their mission and the nature of the Galactic Republic. The man, whose name was Kael, listened intently, his eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"And what is it that you want from us?" he asked, leaning back in his chair.
"We want to establish a dialogue between our peoples, to share knowledge and to learn from each other," Carth explained.
Kael looked at them for a long moment, considering their words.
"And what if we don't want to share our knowledge with you?" he asked.
Carth and Revan exchanged a look, knowing that this was a possibility.
"We understand that you may have concerns, and we respect your right to privacy. However, we believe that the sharing of knowledge is the key to progress and growth. We are willing to offer you our technology and expertise in exchange for yours," Revan said.
Kael considered their words for a long moment before nodding.
"Very well. We will consider your offer. But I must warn you, we are a proud and independent people. We will not be subservient to anyone," he said, his tone firm.
Carth and Revan nodded, understanding his concerns.
"We understand, and we respect your sovereignty. We only seek to establish a mutually beneficial relationship," Carth said.
Kael nodded, seeming to relax a bit.
"Very well. Let us continue this discussion at a later time. For now, you are welcome to explore our world and to learn about our people," he said.
Carth and Revan thanked him and rose to leave the tent. As they made their way back to their ship, they couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. They had made contact with an alien civilization, and they had opened the door to a new era of exploration and discovery. But they also knew that there would be challenges ahead, and that the road to understanding would not be an easy one.
As they took off from the planet's surface, Carth and Revan exchanged a look, both knowing that their lives would never be the same again. But they were ready for whatever lay ahead, and they knew that as long as they had each other, they could face anything that the galaxy threw their way.
