She's My Kind Of Rain

A/n: Don't own Power Rangers

Just finished Ninja Storm and I loved it.

I think Blake and Tori work and wished they'd gotten out how they felt about each other.

So Here's my take on that.

Blake watched the storm roll in from under the overhang of their hotel. They were getting ready to head to dinner. The air changed with the incoming storm bringing the smell of rain and lighting. Thankfully they'd gotten in the races today because the weather had said the storm would have heavy spots in it. His mind quieted from the adrenaline rushes of the day and a soft smile crossed his features as he dipped his head as he thought about her.

She was sitting at a table and he watched her quietly. Getting up she stepped forward as if waiting for something.

"Tori?"

Her blue eyes lit up with laughter as the soft rain began to fall. She reached out and caught some of the rain in her hands and turned to smile at him. She stepped out from underneath the overhang and Tori looked skyward and closed her eyes letting her element wash over her. His heart was pounding so hard watching her like this. She turned to him and held out her hand to him.

"Come on Blake," she taunted softly.

He laughed softly and shook his head at her. There were moments when he was sure that he was in love with her and it was moments like this. He wanted to tell her that he did, but he wasn't sure she felt the same. When she smiled at him like that hope burst in his chest like confetti. He reached forward and took her hand as she pulled him out into the rain.

There had been so many things he'd wanted to say to her, but hadn't. Things he'd tried to tell her and yet couldn't find the courage to tell her. Though, thinking of her and the rain always had a smile on his face.

"Why do you do that?"

He looked over at his friend and teammate. He'd just joined the team so he had no way of knowing about Tori not that he'd talked about her much with the other guys. Confusion washed through him about the question itself. He'd just been standing there for a moment. He looked out at the rain and then back at him not sure what he was talking about.

"Do what?"

"Every time it storms you get that stupid smile on your face and stand there watching it."

"I do not," he protested weakly.

He was fighting the blush on his cheeks at being caught by his friends thinking about Tori like that. The look on his friend's face told him that he didn't believe him for one moment. His gaze returned to the rain and he wished like so many times before today that he was there instead of here. Sure, he was chasing his dream but it was so far away from her. There were days he worried that she'd moved on since he wasn't there, but those days didn't happen often.

"Who is she?"

"She?"

"The woman that you think about every time it rains."

He wanted to refute what he was saying, but he couldn't. It was instinctual that he thought of her every time it rained. Though he thought about her a lot anyway. He missed her. It had almost been a year since he'd seen her last. The communication hadn't halted completely but it wasn't the same as seeing her face to face and being able to talk with her. He hadn't wanted Hunter to be his go between to find out how she was doing but there were times his older brother would know what he wanted to know. Though, Hunter had been busy with his own students to meet up with the others.

"So, who is she? Girlfriend I don't know about."

"Someone I left behind."

He couldn't hold back the longing in his voice.

"She turn you down?"

The look he gave his teammate was accompanied by a snort.

"No, she just let me chase my dream instead of staying with her."

"There's always someone else out there."

He didn't respond to his friend's statement. He wouldn't understand what they'd gone through. What he'd felt when he was with her. His Rain Ninja. There were days he felt he did the wrong thing letter her go without some sort of promise between them. It twisted something inside of him at the thought of not being with her someday. A slap on his shoulder startled him from his thoughts.

"What?"

"What about her? Man she's smokin' hot maybe I should go introduce myself and get her number."

Blake frowned and turned his gaze not seeing anyone but a couple old ladies chittering at each other. Then a feeling washed through him. A feeling he thought for the longest time he'd never feel again. It felt like warm water running down the back of his neck down his spine and spread out through him. His eyes searched the area for blonde and light blue. Then the feeling washed away as soon as it came. It made him ache on the inside. Next chance he got he was going to go see her hell or highwater. He needed to tell her and maybe steal a kiss if he could.

"Man, I don't see…"

Then blonde and light blue flashed in the corner of his eye. Turning his heart started pounding wildly. She was standing in the rain like his memory. This time she had her hand held out to him with the smile that made his knees shake.

"Come on Blake."

This time he didn't hesitate as he moved forward not caring that he was getting soaked. He took her hand and pulled her against him. She smiled up at him and laughed. Before he could even think it through, he leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips. Her arms wrapped around his neck as he picked her up and spun her around. Wolf calls from his friends were silenced by the rumble of the thunder overhead.

"So, you think about me when it rains?"

"I think about you always, but especially when it rains because you're my kind of rain."

She laughed beautifully as he let her feet touch the ground but didn't let her go.
