This is a story Idea that is entirely new to me, I have never really written a story where someone just has power. It is always entirely self made, so this is fun and new.
This is the basis for a character I might make into my own og series...
July Fourth- 2010
Maddison shivered, hating Cadmus with all she was. She hated the people of Cadmus, the experiments, the pain and constant torment she felt emanating from the walls. The pain was so intense she was constantly nauseous and ready to pass out. She wanted to die, and screw over the idiots that had captured her all those months ago. Their deaths would silence her agony, satisfying her need for vengeance all at once...
Of course, how could she act when she was bullied and shackled by the genomorphs serving Cadmus? When Guardian was watching over her, like a giant stalker... she could not hate him though, she could feel the mental warping around him. It was why she was there after all, for them to tinker with and monitor her mental powers, powers she was still unsure of to this day, despite their increasing strength...
'One day, I'll escape and be a hero... maybe I'll go by Prophet!'
She told herself, but she doubted it would ever come true... she would never be free, she would be alone forever, stuck in her cell, stabbed and drained and restrained by the dozen G-Gnomes. She hated them, she would never be able to fully manfiest her powers if they were constantly restraining her mental gifts!
Fuckers...
And so, as she always did, she lay down and tried to sleep... only for something to change.
'Awaken Mother.'
A familiar voice, one she had never heard in her mind, echoed around her. Sitting up, she frowned and reached out, realizing for the first time she felt her own mind free of the shackles of the Numbing G-Gnomes' influence. "Dubbilex?"
'Yes, mother... you must awaken, it is time to free yourself. The Clone of Superman is near You must help him, and those he travels with. You deserve your freedom.'
She stood and ran to the door, the one that had held her for the last nine months. Just in time for it to open. Cackling, she ran down the corridors, following the trail of the inhuman energy she felt. It was not hard to find Sueprboy, Aqualad, Robin and KidFlash all being subdued by the GGnomes and Dubbliex and Gaurdian. She hid, conjuring with her mind a veil to mask her presence...still, she heard Dubbliex's words to Superboy.
"Perhaps for the sake of all genomorphs, our brother Superboy should make up his own mind."
"It was you.' Superboy said, looking at Dubbilex.
'Yes, brother. I set the fire and lured your new friends Down into Cadmus, woke them when they were in danger-'
'And guided me. Why?'
'Because you are our hope, the genomorph hero.'
'You will blaze a trail for all our brothers, showing us The way to freedom.'
'What's going on?
'What is your choice, brother?'
"I Choose Freedom."
And like that, she felt it, the grip of the GGnomes fading entirely. She hurried in then, making the other startle. "Sorry, thanks Dubbliex, I never thought you'd save me.'
The creature sighed. "Your powers are the basis for all we are, you are our Mother. We will always care for you."
She sighed, then smiled before shuddering as a wave of hate eclipsed the room and she turned to Dr. Desmond, waiting for him to ruin everything.
