It was one of those peaceful nights when Lumine was by herself. She couldn't sleep so she sneaked out of the room, leaving Paimon asleep. The night was beautiful. She found herself unconsciously going to the place where she felt the most comfortable and welcome. It was Barbatos' statue. She sat on the statues' hands and enjoyed the view. Mondstad looked very beautiful at night, so silent. Lumine visited plenty of different places but Mondstad always felt like home. The truth was, she was confused and troubled. The whole thing with Sumeru's Archon being erased, Balladeertrying to erase himself from the history…she had to process all those events.

"May the wind guide you" Lumine said quietly to herself "where it will guide me now?". An image of a certain bard flashed through her mind. During her travelrs, she met so many people, made so much friends however…Venti was different. He had a special place in her heart. Always there for her.

"Venti" she whispered, hoping that maybe he will show up just like Xiao. But nothing happened. Only sound of the city and night wind could be heard. Traveler laughed empty, disappointed but not surprised. Lumine started humming quietly, just to comfort herself somehow. Suddenly another voice joined the humming, blonde looked back to see where the voice is coming from. She immediately knew whose voice is that.

"Venti?" Lumine said surprised.

"Lumine" bard replied, smiling. He sat next to her "can't sleep?". Traveler could feel her cheeks reddening, she nodded "you know, lack of sleep is bad for you…aaand you could have told me" he looked at her, worried "what's troubling my favourite Traveler?".

"It's just…everything?" Lumine told him about what's on her mind, skipping the whole change of Dendro Archon history "it's just…sometimes I feel, I don't know, overwhelmed?". Venti looked into her eyes, his face was serious, which was unusual for him. Bard grabbed her shoulder and pulled her closer. Almost embracing her.

"Lumine…" Venti started "I told you that you can always share your troubles with me". Blonde looked at him and turned her face away, looking now at the city. She started blushing. As a matter of fact, she sat here, as always when she was troubled. So, she did shared her troubles with him, just not directly and not saying it out loud.

"Sorry" she mumbled. Lumine couldn't say him the truth.

"Not the first time" Venti said quietly, still looking at her "you are here, all alone, in the middle of the dark". Traveler looked at him, surprised.

"You…know?"

"All this time, yes" bard said quietly "I was always watching you. You were like this sun in the darkness, Lumine. I was thinking to myself, how can I help you, how can I comfort you" she could hear a sorrow in his voice.

"I'm sorry Venti" Lumine looked at his face, his beautiful eyes. She didn't expect that he could hug her, tightly.

"Please…trust me a little bit more, Lumine, share your burdens with me" Venti moved slowly and kissed her forehead.

"Venti?" that's all she could say, as she felt her cheeks turing red. Now they were facing each other, as he put his forehead to hers, smiling.

" I care for you. Didn't I tell you that you're my favourite Traveler?" Lumine didn't know what to say, she was speechless. So instead of trying to say something, she leaned forward and kissed him gently. He was shocked.

"I'm sorry, I don't know why I - "Lumine broke the kiss and tried to explain herself but Venti kissed her. She returned the words could describe what they were feeling now, longing, happiness. They finally admitted their feelings they had for each other after so much time. After the kiss, they were simply sitting next to each other, enjoying the night.
