The sun had set over Gotham City, the time when it's most dangerous to walk the streets. The city was quiet, a rare occurrence, a boring night for heroes. The only things to be heard were stray cats meowing and cars passing by.

"The district is cloudy, slight showers occurring tomorrow morning." Said a robotic voice radiating from the radio Garfield sat beside. Garfield Logan, better known as Beast Boy, was positioned on the roof of a building in Otisburg, New Gotham. In the form of a green cat, he slowly bathed himself in the only way a cat knew. "Chance of showers tomorrow is 9%. the district will be cloudy,"

Beast Boy looked out over the dark city, tucking his paws and tail under himself, forming a loaf. He yawned before turning back into his usual form. He sat on the edge of the building, kicking his legs back and forth. He laid back, using his hands as a cushion. His boredom overcame him.

"And now, to end this broadcast for the night, news anchor and chief of the Daily Planet, Perry White." The robotic voice said once more, it paused as Perry went on the microphone. Beast Boy's pointed ears perked up as he sat up.

"Thank you for letting me on…" Perry began his report, "…there's terrible news in New Gotham, the dreaded 'Killer Moth' has broken out of custody. He's terrorizing the streets." Perry exclaimed.

Beast Boy's eyes widened as he couldn't believe what he was hearing. He had a small, inappropriate happy dance. Definitely not ideal when people are being harmed. "I'm close!" He grabbed the radio and immediately dove off of the building, not missing a beat. He morphed into a falcon, gliding to the scene.

As Beastie arrived, he spotted the Moth. He rested on a lamppost, peering down at the super villain. "Y'know, in the food chain, a bird would eat the moth in this situation…" Beast Boy transformed back to his usual form. He giggled and smiled ear to pointed ear as he looked at Killer Moth. "…But I've already eaten."

The villain's attention turned from wreaking the city and its inhabitants, to Beast Boy. It showed a black bulky suit. It had a blue generator that lit up in the chest area. Then finally, it had a mask with big bug eyes and a metal mouth, resembling teeth. It spoke through its metal mask in a deep voice, "Who are you?"

Killer Moth's wings began to flutter, it hovered above the ground to be eye level with Beast Boy. It stared into his eyes, the moth raised an eyebrow, trying to figure out what he was.

Seeing the villain's confusion, Beast Boy went into the form of a flying squirrel. He left the radio in the street light and glided to Killer Moth, slightly above its head. Once in that position, he turned into a blue whale. He swiftly fell from the sky, crushing the villain underneath him.

To his surprise, the moth caught him and stayed in the air. The whale whistled, almost shrieking in fear. He knew something bad was going to happen. The villain threw the gigantic whale to the asphalt, it proofing back into Beast Boy. The moth pulled out a weapon, its homemade cocoon gun.

Once Beast Boy saw the weapon in his upside down state he groaned. "OH, COME ON!" He yelled, being cased in goo and trapped in the cocoon.

The villain chuckled through the metal mask they wore. "I truly thought a shape shifter would put up much more of a fight…" The villain cackled, grabbing onto the vile sack Beast Boy dwelled.

Beastie crossed his arms, laying back in containment. He sighed and looked around. He turned into a woodpecker, slowly chipping at the webbing. He didn't do it too quickly, making sure the villain could not hear him.

Beast Boy was at the last layer when he felt himself being lifted up once more. Killer Moth had left the ground. Beast Boy tried to look through a small hole he had made, but couldn't see much. "Oh great…" He said softly, face palming. "…there's gotta be some-" Beast Boy stopped, he remembered seeing the blue, lit generator in Killer Moths chest. Assuming it powered his suit, he got an idea.

His eyes widened as he began pecking once more. Beast Boy pecked through the final layer, turning back into himself and sticking his head out of the hole. He was slightly behind the villain, resting in its right arm. He looked around at the city below him.

Beast Boy giggled before pouncing from the bag. He turned into a gorilla before reaching out and grabbing the villain. The villain was certainly weighed down from the unexpected hitchhiker. It looked back at the torn open bag, gasping.

"Damn…" The only word the villain could get out before Beast Boy climbed on the other side of him. He blocked Killer Moth's view of the city, and began a violent round of punches at the generator. He heard the generator cracking and the blue lights dimming down.

The villain's wings began dying out, they slowed and slowly but surely, they were both falling out of the sky. After the generator was totaled and the wings stopped with them in a free fall, Beast Boy became a pterodactyl. The villain cursed and yelled at Beast Boy.

Beast Boy smiled as he placed the moth on the ground. Turning back into himself. He tied him up with rope and unmasked the villain. He giggled as he swiftly slapped the villain across the face.

"The police are gonna show up in a bit, yo." He sat beside the villain, looking at what seemed like a never ending road in front of him. The sun slowly rises, the sky turning orange. "This is where I sign off! See ya!"

Beast Boy turned back into the falcon, grabbing the radio off of the light post with his talons. He sighed, and smiled pridefully. He was very pleased with the villain's coming to Justice. It began to sprinkle that morning, feeling nice on his back. He giggled to himself as he flew off, ready to rest.

It wasn't long before a familiar robotic voice interrupted him. "The district is cloudy. Chances of showers this morning are 100%"

Beast Boy smiled as he heard this, shaking his head. "Nah… really?" Despite no one being around to hear his sarcasm, Beastie sure got a kick out of it. Throughout his entire flight back to his burrow he didn't quit laughing.
