I was sitting under a tree near the training grounds with a cigarette in my mouth watching Kakashi and the kids go at it. I was in a particularly bad mood this afternoon. Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke had been arguing all morning waking me up in the process. I'd been on night patrol for a week now and was actually skipping out on training the kids until today that was, i put all three boys through a major work out as payback. These mornings were becoming a regular thing though. Sasuke had moved in two weeks ago. At first it was awkward but both of us adjusted quickly. Sasuke was actually rarely home during the day and he always picked up after himself. However in the last week he'd seemed to of adopted a bad habit, acting like my big brother, he didn't like the idea of Kakashi spending the night and didn't like when I stayed out too late with him. It was actually becoming quite a nuisance. I was being patient at first, it was cute him acting like my guardian, but it grew old rather quickly once Sasuke roped Naruto in. The blonde was at my house every morning yelling at the top of his lungs, and returned every evening making alone time with Kakashi impossible. And today had been the last straw both boys got a good talking too along with my boyfriend. If he didn't provoke them none of this would have escalated like it had. And to top it all off we were still keeping our relationship on the down low. With everything that'd happened recently there just wasn't time to hang out with their friends like usual although that would have to change. Naruto was a bit of a loud mouth and was having a hard time keeping things to himself almost slipping up a few times. So I was taking matters into my own hands, I asked Kurenai if she wanted to get together which she was never able to say no too and of course Asuma had to make it a party unable to resist, that meant Guy was coming which was perfect. They didn't have to track everyone down individually. To be honest I missed the red eye'd woman ,she was no longer on my team in the Anbu and had a team of kids to train of her own and still made time for her boyfriend...how did she do it all..being a ninja with a life was too difficult. But watching my boyfriend spar with the kids made me smile. So much had happened in the last couple of years...if someone told me I'd be dating the resident aloof shinobi back than I'd laugh, of course now I couldn't imagine my life without him anymore. And the kids were a permanent apart of me as well. If they taught me anything it was I never wanted children of my own. It was a lot of work and the thought of fucking up a mini Kakashi was traumatizing. I shook the thoughts from my head as said Jonin started to walk in my direction. He smiled before sitting down panting lightly. "They giving you a run for your money babe?" He laughed while watching the kids.
"Ha more like the other way around. I'm hoping I can tire Sasuke out enough so I can take you to dinner tonight without listening to him whine."
I sighed. The two would have to learn to get along if this whole arrangement was going to work. Who knew when Sasuke was going to move out the kid was only like twelve, and Kakashi might end up moving in before he left so they needed to suck it up. I puffed on my cigarette unsure of how to word things without taking sides. "Look babe I know he's a bit of a pain and I don't like being coddled either but he's just trying to look out for me.. and well you know Sasuke's still young what if we end up moving in together before he moved out how would you handle it than?" I questioned wondering how he'd react. I was not about to pick sides and if Kakashi couldn't accept Sasuke was a more permanent part of my life now than something would have to give. He took my hand an placed a masked kiss on it.
"Sweetie I like Sasuke. He's a great kid but I can't help if he pushes my buttons a bit. I'm not used to sharing your attention..not to mention I was here first so if I want to spend the night or take you out to dinner..hell even go on vacation with you I can. We're grown adults if we wanna spend time together than we shouldn't need to ask...that's all I'm saying it's nothing against Sasuke..but you've been working nights all week and I miss you. He gets to see you every day I don't."
Kakashi finished. I could see the small pout under his mask and I couldn't help but giggle causing the silver haired man frown to deepen. I rubbed his head trying to comfort him. "I know you're right. That's why I'm going to have a talk with him tonight and you're going to spend the night. But like you said I'm on patrol so I won't get home till about four in the morning. Is that alright?" Kakashi nodded before standing. He bent down pulling his mask under his lips to kiss mine softly before replacing it and straightening back up.
"Sounds good. I'll take you to dinner before you leave. We should be done here in a few hours so I should be there around fine sound good?"
"Sounds good to me I'm going to go home and nap. If I'm not up when you get there wake me." He nodded before returning to the young ninjas. I stood and made my way home hoping I'd be able to nap before my shift tonight.
***3rd Pov That Saturday***
The talk with Sasuke didn't go over quite as well as Y/n had planned but he promised to back off a bit. The blacked haired shinobi couldn't help it. Y/n was like a sister to him now and watching Kakashi sensei hug on her and lounge all over her house didn't make him feel comfortable. The man practically drooled over her, but it made Y/n happy so he didn't have much of a choice she was an adult after all. And to his surprise she was actually a good parental figure. She cooked good food and always made sure he had everything he needed and never left with thought letting him know at first she thought maybe she was over doing it a bit and didn't want to overwhelm him but Sasuke liked she tired to include him in everything and was happy with his decision to move in with her. He originally thought it was because she felt guilty over what had happened with Orochimaru but she'd proven she really did care. Like now, he was listening to the white haired woman ramble on about what to do if something happened while she was gone. Her and his love sick sensei were going to their friends tonight and would be crashing at his place.
"Okay so there's food in the fridge and I left Kurenai's address on the table. I don't mind if you have Naruto and Sakura over. But don't answer the door for anyone else. Oh and don't eat too many snacks. If you do invite the gang over and they spend the night try not to stay up too late we're going to the compound in the morning if you remember. And uhm...am I forgetting anything?"
Y/n wondered. She'd already told him not to set the house on fire, don't go out at night, keep the doors locked and to get help if something went wrong. Sasuke huffed at her. She'd been prattling on forever and hewished Kakashi sensei would just get here already. "I'll be fine Onee-Chan. I've lived alone before remember?" He asked a bit irritated. She sighed but smiled while nodding her head, the young ninja had given her the new nickname a few days ago and she was still getting used to the cute endearment. The door swung open causing them both to jump. Kakashi walked in a bit confused.
"Is everything alright?' He asked watching the two ninja cling to each other. Sasuke pushed Y/n off of him and towards his sensei.
"No. Take her she's having a melt down and you scared the shit out of us." "Sasuke language." Y/n scolded. Both Kakashi and Sasuke laughed.
"What's so funny?" She asked. Kakashi grabbed his girlfriends hand and walked to the door telling Sasuke bye before they left. Once outside she questioned hm again. "For real what was so funny? Am I missing something?" "Really?" Kakashi said sarcastically. "You have the worst mouth babe. If he learned it from anyone it was you." He stated plainly. And he was right Y/n had a bad mouth and had a hard time holding back her profanities. It didn't bother him, she'd been like this since he'd first met her. She scoffed lighting a cigarette while clinging to her jacket. It was almost winter and the air had become frigid. Kakashi wrapped his arm around her and they walked in silence for awhile but Kakashi could feel Y/n getting fidgety beside him the closer they got to Kurenai's. They had agreed to tell everyone tonight. Even though they were both ready to have the secret off their chests letting more people into their little world made the couple nervous.
Music could be heard wafting from Kurenai's front door along with the sound of muffled voices. Kakashi looked at his girlfriend who seemed more stressed out than him and squeezed her hand gently trying to reassure her everything would be fine. It didn't really seem to work though and the couple released their hands unwillingly, they didn't think walking in and just announcing they were together was the best way to go about it. Some how they had to find the right time to spill. Y/n knocked on the door and waited but no one answered, after a few minutes the white haired shinobi was becoming impatient and walked in anyways. Guy and Asuma were on the couch with some beer laughing loudly while Kurenai was no where to be seen. Y/n instantly ditched the guys in favor of the kitchen in hopes her friend was there. And to her delight there she was pulling food out of the fridge. The red eye'd woman was taking by surprise when a bouncing girl slammed into her torso wrapping her in a hug. "Kurenai! I haven't seen you in forever hug me!" Y/n demanded. Kurenai giggled at her friends childishness but returned her hug. "Wanna help with the snacks?" Y/n nodded and started pouring chips into a bowl. After a while of silence the urge to tell Kurenai was becoming unbearable so Y/n decided to let it out.
"So..well I have something to tell you but you have to be quite okay? No running and telling the others we'll do that a bit later." The black haired woman stared at her friend in confusion, totally lost. "Uhm..okaayyy..." Was all she responded with. Y/n giggled while pulling her through the back door. The cold air hit them both and they shivered slightly, once they were a little bit away from the house Y/n stood in front of her but remained silent while she twiddling with her hands. After a moment of her not speaking Kurenai was about to ask what was going on but was cut off by her friends next sentence.
"Kakashi and I are dating...ah..mm" Were the only words she was able to speak because Kurenai crushed her face into her huge breasts instantly. She spun them around crazily causing Y/n to become nauseous. The black haired shinobi stopped and held her friends shoulders while popping off tons of questions.
"How long have you been going out for? Have you kissed yet? Oh what does his face look like? Have you had sex..mmmhh."
Y/n put her hands over Kurenai's mouth unable to bear the embarrassing questions and the nauseous feeling hadn't completely subsided yet making it hard to think. Once her friend calmed down and Y/n felt better she spoke.
"I'm going to let go okay? Than I'll answer your questions." Her friend nodded excitedly. Y/n dropped her hands and took a deep breath.
"Okay so we've been dating a little over a month now. We would've told you sooner but I wasn't ready yet. Yes we've kissed but that's it!"
The white haired woman said as her face started to heat up. "You know I'm still a...virgin. I'm not ready for that step yet..oh and. Sask.." Kurenai squealed excitedly drowning out the rest of Y/n's sentence jumping up and down like a little kid. Before Y/n could tell her to shut up Asuma stepped outside while staring at his girlfriend bouncing around like a nut. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it before speaking.
"So I'm guessing she told you the news?" He stated. Kakashi had just told him and Guy moments ago. But that wasn't the only news that was shared. Apparently Y/n also had Sasuke living with her now as well. This had been the couples plan all along. Y/n couldn't handle The men's enthusiasm, while Kakashi couldn't handle Kurenai's. Asuma was almost tackled down from his girlfriend who wrapped her arms around his neck who was now happily chatting to him. He placed a kiss on her lips before departing from her.
"Mind if I talk to Y/n for a minute honey?"
The red eyed woman looked from her boyfriend to her best friend and raised a brow. Y/n shrugged unsure of what was going on either. She gave him a quick kiss before returning inside reluctantly. Y/n lit a cigarette and stood there waiting for her friend to speak. He sighed before giving her a heavy pat on the back.
"Congrats by the way. I was hoping this would happen eventually. I'm super happy for you guys. And I also heard you let Sasuke move in with you too girly."
He looked at the white haired ninja a bit concerned. She was a capable woman and could handle herself and Kakashi. Asuma had never seen anyone able to deal with that stubborn man like she did, or how he was completely wrapped around her finger and Y/n didn't even know it. Love made people crazy and do crazy things. But Sasuke? They were related everyone knew that, what kind of relation? Well that didn't really matter. They were all each other had left for family and Asuma was worried that all this new responsibility would overwhelm his friend. Yes she was strong and cable he knew she could take care of the three of them but her mental health was shaky sometimes and he didn't think Y/n needed the added stress. Not to mention Sasuke was kind of going through the same shit too. How well could they cope together? All three of the ninjas were bad with feelings and Asuma was worried this would end in disaster for everyone.
"Can you handle all this? I mean I know you can physically handle anything but can you mentally handle it Y/n? You're going through a lot and so is Sasuke not to mention you know Kakashi has shit to sort through as well. Can all three of you handle each other? Kakashi already expressed his irritation at Sasuke butting in between you guys a few times now."
Y/n smiled at her worried friend. He'd always been like a big brother to her, a naggy big brother, and made it a point to check on her when things were wrong. Sure she could let the question bother her but Y/n had known Asuma for far too long, he really was just worried and wasn't doubting her abilities.
"I promise I got this. You know I like a challenge. But in all seriousness if I need help you got my back right?"
Y/n's blue eye's bore into Asuma's. Pleading with him to agree. The older shinobi knew he'd cave even with out her begging. He had a soft spot for the rascal. She was like the little sister he always wanted and made a point to lead her on the right path. Although Kakashi knew her better than anyone and probably always would, Asuma knew things about his father Hiruzen that the silver haired shinobi didn't. Like how he'd abused the girl severely when she was much younger, and he also knew about a certain mission that almost got the young girl killed. He felt so guilty that he'd done nothing to stop it, his casual no care attitude had won over his consciousness back than and he turned a blind eye to his fathers actions resulting in her near death. But what made the situation even more sickening was Y/n acted like it was no big deal and was back on her feet in two weeks crawling back to his father for more orders. Asuma had tried to talk some sense into her but she wouldn't listen, too loyal to his father for her to hear reason. If she knew how deep Hiruzen's grip on her past was Y/n would have probably tried to kill him. His lack of intervention in her past now made him feel responsible for keeping her future on the right track. But that story was for another time and he needed to focus on the present at the moment.
"You know I got your back kiddo no matter what you do. Don't hesitate to ask for help from me or Kurenai alright?"
She beamed a huge smile at him before pulling the man into a quick hug. "Thank you. Well it's cold I'm going in." The half frozen ninja said before running inside.
Hello my dear's it's been a little while since I've posted I do apologize. And I also apologize for the short chapter work has been crazy and well the new Hogwarts game came out too so I've been a bit busy with that. I'm also sorry for the short chapter.
