Country Star and the Businessman

Chapter 2: I'm getting to know Herbert

The next day I'm at the coffee shop, when in walks Herbert, he is wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. He begins to wait in line, when he notices me. He comes over to my table, soon sitting across from me, and saying, "Hello Lurleen, I'm glad to see you. I want to get to know you."

I smile and tell him to ask his questions, I also tell him that I want to get to know him as well. He begins by asking, "Where are you from?" I tell him that I was raised here in Springfield. He nods then saying, "I'm from Detroit, I was raised there, and even lived there for a while."

I then ask him what jobs he's had, to which he responds with, "I owned my own company, a car company, you may have heard of it, Powell Motors." I tell him that it sounds familiar, and he says, "It was and now is Kumatsu Motors. I am also an inventor. Being the one to invent the still popular Baby Translator."

I smile, soon putting a hand on his hand which he had on the table, saying how sweet that sounds. I see him blush a bit, stuttering out, "Yes." He regains his confidence, "It was my best and so far only invention."

He then asks me, "Have you ever been with anyone?" I blush, this caught me completely off-guard, I tell him that I've seen a few guys, and say, "But none were as good to me as your brother was. Although he was just my manager."
