Synopsis: After your standard Isekai express, Our protagonist was sent off in a world we're quite familiar with, ignorant of the future ahead of him; how would he fair against his counterpart's supposed fate.

Warning : Major divergence in Canon timeline.

It felt as if my fists were throbbing as I stared at the devastation displayed on the tree bark. I'd been taking advantage of this power in my new life, but I had no context to understand what it truly meant.

Even if I was the only child with Physical Enhancing power, I was only five. I should be learning the basics of reading and writing and numbers. I should not be trying to understand the concept of supernatural 'Chi', as my lovely dear mother would put it.

It's currently flowing through my veins. Still, I considered it a wise decision considering my background, despite having adulthood knowledge and a child's flexible neuropathy. It didn't change the fact that I wouldn't be getting my diploma sooner than expected in a remote area like this.

Thus the homeschooling and the training, it's already strange enough to see the mild expression of my mother, so no need to bash my head outside of realistic expectations.

I don't know how I wound up reincarnating into a different plane of existence, but it was certainly a better option than being turned into pavement paste by a speeding truck. It was a second chance that I couldn't- wouldn't -pass up. So what if I ended up having a different ethnicity and appearance that would be lucky enough to get a desirable job in a remote place like this?

I am alive and that's what's important, I would make the most of it with my loving mother and no one would block my path. to victory.

There was so much going for me, that I had to assume some sort of cosmic or divine reasons behind it. My power, the anime aesthetic physiology, and a supernatural power, which is awesome.

I would have tolerated shitting in a dirt hole and wiping my ass with leaves if it meant not being dead, but having chucked into a low fantasy as a new reality was, to me, better than living a life with some form of dystopia in it. Barring something unfortunate happening, I had dozens of years of life ahead of me.

Possibly even more with how beneficial this Chi is to my body, I'm more conditioned and healthier compared to my last life.

This body hardly needs a maintenance, and I could easily overpower my older counterpart when it comes down to a tussle.

While I didn't know what it was, I had this innate understanding that in several years, I'd be given some kind of gift, power, or ability. Why? I had no idea. I already have a second chance at life, so a 'gift' seemed like overkill, but I wouldn't turn it down. If it helps me in my new life, then awesome.

Hearing the distant fluttering above me, my ear twitched as my right reflexively caught a falling fruit beside me.

A red electricity-like discharge appears and coils around my arm, further enhancing the muscle fibers as the object briefly shook before exploding from the burst of pressure applied by my grasp.

Sending its juice and remnants all over the place, drips of it even landed on my lips which prompts the viper out.

I closed my eyes and salivate the juicy sensation as I couldn't help but embrace the reverberating ecstasy of empowerment, I could get myself addicted at this rate.

"Ah... already this late?"

A high-pitched sound left my mouth, as I voice my thoughts out loud at the distant sight of horizon. Within the gaps from the canopy, orange-tinted lights illuminate the surroundings, signifying the general time as I hurried back to the house.

After half an hour of striding, I slowly came to a stop in front of a wooden door, taking deep breaths as I calm my heart and dry myself with the spare towel I brought earlier.

After grooming myself to satisfaction, I drape my head with it as I decided to take a step inside.

"I'm hoooome." I exclaim with a barely hidden excitement.

Ignoring my shirtless state, I took a spare key out of my pocket and opened the door to reveal a modest hallway. In the nearby entryway, I saw Mother in her apron and thick mittens with a laid back expression as she carries a large pan.

Quickly noticing my presence, she gave me a soft and relaxed expression as she carefully place the pan on the table. Taking a good whiff in the air, made my stomach twist and turn in excitement knowing that it was chicken curry for dinner.

Yum.

"Welcome home Jin, you're just in time for dinner." She modestly called my presence.

Hearing her soft and sweet voice, I couldn't help but subconsciously smile at the genuine love, a contradictory to the majority of bitter thots I've met in my past.

Closing the door shut, I wore off my sandals and stash them in the nearby stand.

"Also, mind your manners; you'll a catch a cold at this rate." She says methodically as she averted her attention back to supper.

Stepping forward with my bare skin, the smooth and clean planks felt cool and natural for my sore feet. Ignoring her words in regards to my lack of shirt, I shrug my shoulders as I couldn't care less of my habit being called out.

I took off the towel and place it on one of the lower shelves to take care of it later.

As I come closer to help my mother prepare for dinner, I couldn't help but appreciate the memories we'll create in this new life.

This beats my bachelor lifestyle any day. I'll never take this for granted, God knows how quickly it lost the novelty of being an adult, but this time my motivation wouldn't be because of three-oh-fours and rad rides.
