Title: Bonds
Rating: M
Summary: Her twin brother is dead, so why does she still feel a connection to him?
Notes: The idea of the Tracy's having a supernatural connection with each other is not a new one, and I've always liked the idea of the Tracy's having a psychic bond – some stronger with some family members than others – with each other.
Kesha and Kallen are twins so they are/were very close to each other before Kallen 'died.'
MENTIONS OF TORTURE.
Bonds
She knew her Twin brother was dead.
Heck, she saw him die, live from the cameras and sensors of Thunderbird's Five and Shadow… Twice!
The first time was when that Mysteron agent blew himself up with Kal nearby and dropped a half a cliff face on top of him.
The second time was when Shadow's defences blew his Mysteronized form of her brother off of what was left of said cliff.
And since Spectrum didn't find a body at the base of the cliff when they investigated the incident, and knowing Mysteron agent vaporise when they die…
Her brother was definitely dead.
If someone could tell the twin bond, she and Kal shared, that would be mighty appreciated.
It was something they discovered when they were very young, course no one actually believed them – or any of the other set's of Tracy twins for that matter - until Kal busted his arm saving Shay and Kev from kidnappers… and then they further proved it a few years later when she gave birth to her and Matt's own set of twin children.
Si had actually laughed at Kal going through her labour pains – until Kal snapped at him saying, if Phia ever got pregnant, he wanted to be there next to him went she went to labour. Si shut up pretty quickly after that, but not before begging Phia to never get pregnant, to which she responded by asking Kal to video him when the time came.
But when Kal died, the part of her conscious that she associated with her bond with her brother, went schizo…
While most of the time it felt like it always did on a normal day, like he never died at all, there were other times went she felt like she had been shot, stabbed, blown up, drowned, strangled or straight up tortured, like she was feeling now.
She felt as if she was bound and hanging by her wrists, and that someone had used her as a punching bag, then took to her with a knife, and then just left her hanging waiting to die…
Most days she could brush off the uncomfortable feelings she got through the bond, as the bond usually went offline not long after feeling an injury that was fatal, leaving that part of her mind in a blackhole of despair, until it snapped back online as if nothing happened, but today was particularly bad, and she was curled up in a ball floating around Thunderbird Three's cockpit, as she was coming home from a rescue from Venus, crying in pain, with Sky in a panic beside her wondering what was wrong.
She suddenly felt a sharp pain in her chest as the bond went offline and the bond was done torturing her connection with Kal, for now anyway.
The feelings of loss mixed in with the relief he wasn't suffering any more.
"My god, Keys," Scout exclaimed. "What was that all about? You've been curled up in pain for hours! We are nearly home!"
"Hours?" Kesha questioned, as she looked at the time, oh this was bad, if she went through something like this happened again and she was in a middle of rescue…
"Well?" Scout pushed.
"I need to talk to Belle when I get home," Kesha answered. "You know that twin connection I had with Kal?"
Scout cocked an eyebrow, "What's that got to do with anything?" she replied. "Kallen's dead."
"I know that," Kesha snapped. "But I don't think the bond that we had together has fully realized the fact though."
"What that supposed to mean?"
"It means the bond just made me think someone just tortured and killed him," Kesha replied. "This is not the first time this has happened, but it has been the worst."
Scout didn't reply, the horrified look on her face said it all.
Kesha was talking to Belle a couple of days later when she felt the bond, she shared with her brother, come back online.
Healthy and whole as if nothing had happened.
Notes: And sometimes the bond knows more than you do Kesha.
