This is the story of two Pokémon trainers with completely different views. The young technological genius Caelan believes that technology is superior to nature, it doesn't have the physical limits that living beings do. Caelan is also an oddity among trainers. He doesn't use Pokémon to battle other trainers. Instead, he uses a high-tech battle suit that was designed and created by him. So far, no Pokémon has been able to defeat him in battle.

Caelan enjoys reading and gardening, and although he doesn't use Pokémon in battle, he cares for a variety of man-made Pokémon such as Porygon and Magnemite and their respective evolutions. The Pokémon he calls his best friend is called Miraidon, and Miraidon is the only Pokémon Caelan ever keeps in a Poké Ball by his side.

Meanwhile, nature loving survivalist Samantha believes that nature provides better options than the conveniences we have today. She lives in a hand build cabin, and even crafts her own Poké Balls using apricorns and stone. She has befriended many Pokémon within the forest, and longs to befriend more.

As for Samantha, she likes singing and playing her hand carved ocarina. Out of all the Pokémon she's befriend in the forest she calls home, none are as loyal a friend as Koraidon. Unlike many trainers, she doesn't keep her best friend in a Poké Ball, she believes it deserves to wild and free, even though it follows her everywhere.

While the two trainers have contrasting views, they always seem to be meeting wherever they go. Their rivalry shakes the fight they are constantly in, which is superior, the natural world, or modern machinery? And what will become of them as they go out into the world and see just what it has in store? There will be laughs and tears, quiet picnics, and plenty of Pokémon battles.
