On a sunny day in the town of Brisbane Australia, The Heeler family was enjoying the weather with a swim party and barbeque.
The gathering was a celebration of the engagement of Rad, the eldest of the three brothers, to his girlfriend Frisky.
As everyone settled at the patio table of the backyard of youngest brother Stripes' house to have dinner, middle brother Bandit tapped his glass with a spoon and said, "Attention everyone."
The rest of the family, who was in the middle of chatting, looked up.
"I would like to say a few words in congradulating my big brother Rad, and his bride-to-be Frisky, on their up-coming wedding."
The entire family cheered and clinqued cups.
"Congarts Uncle Rad and Aunt Frisky," said Bluey and Bingo (daughters of Bandit and his wife Chilli) and Muffin and Socks (daughters of Stripes and his wife Trixie.)
"Thank you everyone," spoke Rad.
"Welcome to the family Frisky," said Bob Heeler, father to Rad, Bandit and Stripes.
"Thank you.
I can't wait to be a part of the Heeler family," said Frisky
"Have you two set a wedding date?" asked Trixie.
"Actually we have a date.
It's in 2 months."
"It's not easy to put in time off at my job," Rad pointed out, referring to his job at the oil rig, where he works.
"I hope that gives you two enough time to plan a wedding," said Christine Heeler, AKA Chris, mother to Rad, Bandit and Stripes and wife of Bob.
"Actually mum, Frisky and I have much of it planned out."
"Yes, Rad and I talked it over and we just want a simple wedding.
Nothing fancy, and have our families with a few close friends, added Frisky, and we've already chose members of the wedding party."
As Frisky was at her wedding, Chilli was set to be the maid-of honor, while Stripes and Bandit were set to be co-best men, as Rad was for their weddings.
Bluey, who just happens to be her god-daughter, was going to be a junior bride's maid, with two of Frisky's nieces.
"For real life?" asked a very excited Bluey, wagging her tail.
"You bet," Frisky replied, who got a hug from Bluey.
Rad went on with Frisky's nephew as the ring bearer, with Bingo and Muffin being flower girls.
"Ohhh a flower girl.
What fun," said Bingo, as she happily wagged her tail.
"What about Socks?
Is she going to be a flowew giwl to?" asked Muffin.
"I'm afraid Socks is too young to be in the wedding.
She's have to sit with me," said Trixie.
"Aww," said Muffin, as Socks just whimpered a bit.
"Not too worry Muffin, Socks will still be a part of the wedding," said Chris, comforting her grandchild.
Rad and Frisky handed everyone their invitations to the wedding, which was going to be held at one of the local parks.
"OOOhhh smoochy kiss day," said Bluey, before she, her sister and cousins started giggling.
Everyone then clinqued their glasses for another celebratory toast on the up-coming big day.
The next day, while putting some laundry in their room, Chilli found Bandit what looked to be trying a suit on.
Or in his case, squeezing into the suit.
"Bandit, what are you doing?" Chilli asked.
"(Grunt) trying...to...(grunt)..get my...suit on," Bandit answered, as he struggled to get dressed.
"Isn't that the suit you wore at Stripes and Trixie's wedding?
From nearly six years ago?"
"Yeah,(grunt) but I'm(grunt) pretty sure(grunt)it still (grunt) fits."
It took him a short time, but Bandit managed to get his suit on.
However, not soon that he got dressed, not one, but two buttons popped.
One from his pants and the other from his shirt.
"Uh uh.
Looks like you're going on a diet, as of right now," said Chilli.
"Aww biscuits," muddered Bandit, before another button popped from his shirt.
Chilli went to pick up the buttons off the floor, even though Bandit offered, it was best not to take any chances of popping anymore buttons.
"Looks like you're going to need a new suit for the wedding," said Chilli.
"No way am I going to spend money on a something I'm only going to wear once.
That's why my brothers and I wore the same suits for both mine and Stripes' weddings.
We just wore different colored shirts and coverbuns," Bandit pointed out.
"There's two months till the wedding, do you think you can lose a few pounds by the time of the ceremony?" Chilli.
"Piece of cake."
"Actually, no cake, pie, or any form of junk food until after the wedding.
So in this case, it should be known as simple as salad."
"Aww biscuits."
Upon slapping the palm of his hand to his face, another button popped on Bandit's shirt.
"Diet starts as of right now," said Chilli, as her husband gave her a sheepish smile.
And sure enough, Chilli kept her word on the diet.
As that night at dinner, while Bluey and Bingo got macaroni and cheese, Bandit had a large bowl of salad placed in front of him.
"How come dad is having something different than us?" asked Bluey.
"He's on a diet," Chilli replied.
"What's a diet?" asked Bingo.
"A diet is when you have to eat healthy food and watch what you eat."
Bingo then began to fully look over her spoonful of macaroni and cheese before putting it in her mouth.
"Bingo, what are you doing?" asked Chilli, with a chuckle.
"I'm watching what I eat like what dad is doing," Bingo replied.
Everyone at the table laughed.
"Anyway, I'm trying to get in shape for the wedding," Bandit explained.
"Speaking of the wedding, Bluey, you, Bingo, and I are meeting with Frisky, her nieces, Nana, Trixie, Muffin and Socks tomorow at the dress show," said Chilli.
