This, along with another story that was posted around the same time, is another one I have been writing but never got to chapter 10 of it. I want to see your opinion on it and the other one.

A young boy was sleeping on the couch. Suddenly he moved to the right, which was a bad move as he fell onto the floor. He groaned, waking up as he rubbed the back of his head. He had blonde hair which was tied in a ponytail. He wore a white t-shirt under a red coat. He also wore a red and silver ring on his left hand and a pendulum pendant around his neck.

This was Sakaki Tohya, Yuya older brother.

"Man, I really hate having to stay up late…" He said as he got up from the floor. It seemed he was in a hallway of some kind. "Ugh, I wonder if they are done…" He looked through a window in the hallway and his eyebrow twitched. "They're still dueling!?"

Through the window there was a Duel going on between Gongenzaka, the boy's childhood friend, and Yuya, his younger brother.

"I release Superheavy Samurai Waka-02 and Superheavy Samurai Sword-999 to Tribute Summon Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K!" Gongenzaka said as he summoned his ace Monster. "Now, come Yuya! Duel me, the man Gongenzaka, one-on-one!"

"Ladies and gentlemen!"

Tohya groaned as he facepalmed. "He's going to do something stupid, isn't he?" He said as his brother appeared, riding Entermate Discover Hippo.

"I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Hippo Carnival! It's showtime!" Yuya said as he summoned three Hippo Tokens, whose design alone could make a person go blind.

Tohya sighed. "Predictable as always…" He muttered. It was then he noticed two people beside him. A woman along with a blue haired boy, possibly a mother and her child coming to see the school. And like the others, they will probably leave. He thought as the Action Field suddenly disappeared and Yuya kissed the floor. Yuya was wincing in pain, before making a funny face at the kid, who was probably worried about him. And if they were considering enrolling, they are definitely not going to now.

Tohya was currently laying on the couch while he heard Shuzo, the principal of Yusho, complaining about the broken Solid Vision System and how.

Its not like we were getting any students to begin with. Tohya thought.

"I could have made them laugh even more if you didn't break it, Yuzu." Yuya said to the pink haired girl next to him as he put on his goggles. Tohya still doesn't know how he can see through them considering one of the lenses has a star drawn on it…

"That's because you were messing around, Yuya." Yuzu said. "And look at me when I'm talking to you!" She tried to smack Yuya, but he quickly dodged out of the way.

Unfortunately, he ran into Gongenzaka and considering the guy is twice as tall as Yuya and has the muscle that could rival The Rock, he didn't even flinch. "Ouch… You're still here Gongenzaka?" Yuya asked, wincing from the pain.

"That boy wasn't laughing." Gongenzaka said with a frown.

"Huh?" Yuya said, taking off his goggles, which left two circles around Yuya's eyes, before waving off Gongenzaka's remark. "Come on, he was cracking up!"

"There is a difference between someone laughing WITH you and laughing AT you!" Gongenzaka yelled.

"Considering a clown's job is to be laughed at, I would say Yuya played his part right considering that show I saw earlier." Tohya said, not moving from his spot.

"You're not helping, Tohya!" Gongenzaka said. "Your father, Sakaki Yusho, always made everyone smile with his dueling. Have you forgotten the smiles he stirred from their hearts!?"

"Well, everyone ended up laughing at him in the end." Yuya said without a care in the world.

"And much like this school, his reputation crumbled down." Tohya added without a care in the world as well.

"Yuya/Tohya!" Gongenzaka and Yuzu respectively yelled. The former just chuckled while the latter just shrugged and got up, sitting on the couch this time.

Suddenly, the door opened. "Oh it seems something is amiss here." A voice said as someone came through the door.

If you would look at the person, one thought would come to mind. Since when did Hitler get here? Tohya thought. And why does he look like a bus?

"Um, who might you be?" Shuzo asked.

"My name is Nico Smiley." He introduced himself. "I'm the manager/promoter of the current Champion of Action Dueling, Strong Ishijima."

"Strong…" Yuya began.

"…Ishijima." Tohya finished, eyes narrowed.

Nico Smiley took a seat on the couch. "Strong Ishijima is our poster duelist at LDS, and we'd love to invite Yuya and Tohya to appear with him on his Fan Appreciation Day."

"So you want me and Tohya to duel Strong Ishijima!?" Yuya asked.

"Yes, duel him! Your wish from 3 years ago will come true!" Nico Smiley said.

3 years ago… Tohya thought. What was supposedly to be the best day of his life turned out to be his worst.

"What is going on here!? Here we are at the finals for the crown of Action Dueling! But where is our current champion, Sakaki Yusho!?" The announcer said what was on everyone mind.

"Got cold feet, Yusho!?" Strong Ishijima declared.

After that, the audience began to throw in their jeers as well.

"Yusho!? More like No-Show!"

"He got scared of losing, so he ran away!"

Up in the stands stood a younger Tohya and Yuya, alongside their mother, all shocked.

"That can't be true… Dad would never disappeared like that. Right?" Tohya asked to no one.

Suddendly, Yuya began to run towards the edge of the stands.

"My Dad will be here! I'll duel you until he gets here!" Yuya said, before his mom, Yoko, began pulling him away.

Tohya began to cover his ears, getting on his knees while the audience continued their jeers

"Weakling!"

"Stop it…"

"Coward!"

"Please…"

"Loser!"

"Tohya?" Yuzu voice snapped him out of his thoughts. He looked at Yuzu, who had a worried expression in her eyes.

"Yuzu?" He said, confused.

"Are you alright? You were shaking a bit." She said with a worried tone as she gently grabbed hold of his hand, which was shaking.

"Y-Yeah, just a little cold." Ren said.

Yuzu didn't believe it because he was wearing a jacket indoors, but she left it there and focused on the conversation at hand.

Nico Smiley placed a pamphlet on the desk, showing Strong Ishijima and information about his opponent. "As you can see, preparations are already complete."

Yuya looked unsure, but before he could answer, Shuzo beat him to it. "I refuse to allow Yuya and Tohya to go up there." He said firmly.

"But why?" Nico Smiley questioned. "The fans would love to see Sakaki Yusho son appear!"

"I won't let both of them be your show pony!" Shuzo yelled with tears in his eyes. "How do you think Yuya and Tohya felt over these 3 years!? Leave!"

"That's unfortunate! As a thank you for your cooperation, we were considering giving you the newest Real Solid Vision System produced by Leo Corporation. For free of course." Nico Smiley said, baiting Shuzo.

And like a fish, he fell for it. "You serious!?" Shuzo said. It was at this moment Tohya saw Yuya walk away. Since everyone was focused on the conversation, nobody but him noticed.

"Yuya…" He said, catching his brother's attention. He knew what Yuya was up to. "Don't be late, okay?"

Yuya nodded. "Make sure you record the Duel." He said with a smile before walking away.

Tohya focused back on the conversation at hand, seeing Yuzu slap Shuzo with a fan. He still doesn't know where she got it or where she hides it.

"Weren't you just talking about how you wouldn't let them be a show pony!?" Yuzu asked.

"Well, you know…"

"The school is important too, but…"

Gongenzaka nodded. "What's important is how Yuya and Tohya feel about it." He said, looking at Yuya, whose seat was now empty.

"Where'd he go?" Yuzu asked.

"Yuya just went for a walk." Tohya said. "But don't worry, he is going to show up. Meanwhile, I'm going home." He began to walk away.

"Please wait a moment, Tohya-kun." Nico Smiley said. "What about you? Are you not joining your brother?"

"Oh I don't duel anymore." Tohya answered before leaving the room, leaving behind a shocked Nico Smiley.

"What did he mean by that?" He asked as he turned back to Shuzo. "It's kind of difficult to think someone his age isn't into dueling."

The three other occupants in the room looked down at the ground sadly. It was Shuzo that answered. "Tohya hasn't touched a deck nor dueled ever since his dad disappeared."

Tohya was walking home. What Shuzo said was true. Over the past 3 years, Tohya hasn't dueled nor touched a card. There were two reasons.

The first was that the mere thought of dueling with the same cards as his sperm donor makes him want to puke. So he threw away his deck and all of his cards into the river. He is okay with watching Yuya's cards and helping him since they are a bit different than Yusho's. But other than that, he refuses to duel.

The second reason is that he had to support him and his brother financially. After Yusho left and his mom… Anyways, he had to find a way to make money. Luckily, he was a genius. No he wasn't bragging, it was a fact considering he finished highschool by the time he was 15.

Now of course, nobody wants to hire the 'son of the coward', so he had to find jobs on the... darker sides of the web. Nothing too illegal, (he isn't working in a human trafficking if thats what you're wondering.) Just hack into some big corporations, build a safer firewall for some of the shadier ones, etc.

Does he feel bad? He would if he literally had ny other option. Since he doesn't, he isn't going to complain how he pays for hot water and food.

"I'm home." Tohya said as he entered his apartment. Him and Yuya lived in a relatively luxurious apartment. It had more than two bedrooms, which yeah it was weird, but it was the only one they sold to him, so he took it.

He and Yuya had to move out a bit after his dad disappeared and his mom…

"Enough dwelling on the past…" Tohya sighed. "I might be the only person in the city that's not at the stadium." He said before going towards the living room and sitting on the couch. He turned on the TV. "Looks like it's about to start."

The Action Field was activated and they introduced the two Duelists, or rather, one of them since Yuya didn't appear. Tohya didn't have to hear what the audience was saying to know what they were talking about.

"Weakling!"

"Coward!"

"Loser!"

Tohya clenched his fist. Yuya is nothing like him and he will prove it. He thought, smirking as he saw a clown appear behind Strong Ishijima. "And that's starting right now."

After a few words of introduction and a bit of bickering, the Duel began. Immediately, Yuya ran away from Strong Ishijima and summoned Entermate Discover Hippo. While this could be seen as running away, Tohya knew better. "He is scouting for Action Cards that are on the field. That's how Yuya plays: using the Action Fields to his advantage."

Meanwhile, Strong Ishijima started his turn and immediately summoned his ace monster, Battleguard King. He tried to destroy Yuya's monster, but with the help of the Action Cards, he was able to avoid receiving major damage.

The next turn, Yuya was able to summon his Ace, Odd-Eyes Dragon.

"The fun has just begun!"

Tohya froze. He hasn't heard that phrase in a long time. He sighed. "You really are trying to become someone like Dad, Yuya. I still don't understand how you can still look up to him after all he has done to us…" He said before shaking his head. "I should just focus on the match."

Yuya used his Action Card scouting to his advantage by using a card to decrease Battleguard King to 0. "With Odd-Eyes Dragon effect, Yuya can win this in one shot." He said as Odd-Eyes attacked, leaving behind a huge explosion. "However…" When the dust cleared, it showed Battleguard King still standing. "…even if he didn't earn it fair and square, there is a reason this guy is the Champion."

The next turn was a complete 180. After powering up his monster with a Trap and with the effects of the previous turn gone, Strong Ishijima's Barbarian King had 5000 ATK points. He wasted no time in destroying Yuya Odd-Eyes. After using a Spell to recover his LP, it was like Yuya's previous turn was for nothing.

"It's your turn. Or will you choose to surrender? Turn your tail and run, just like your father? Or like your brother who didn't have the guts to show up?"

"Bastard…" Tohya said through gritted teeth.

But he was right. He didn't have the guts to show up to support Yuya in what was probably his most important Duel. He looked down at his lap. "I'm pathetic…"

"…You can't do anything…"

Tohya looked up in surprise. "Yuya?" He looked at his brother who was slowly getting up.

"…Have courage and step forward if you want to win!" Yuya declared and for a second, Tohya could have sworn Yuya pendulum shined for a bit.

But he couldn't exactly tell what he saw when he saw his pendant was glowing as well. Curiously, he took it out of his neck and looked at it. "What the…" Before he could finish, his watch glowed, blinding him. "Woah!" He shielded his eyes with his arm as it got brighter, blinding him

When his vision returned, he was on the floor of the living room. He massaged his throbbing head. "What the hell was that?" He said before widening his eyes as he patted his chest. "The pendant…" He began to panic looking around for it before sighed in relief when he saw it on top of the coffee table.

But that relief was short lived as he saw what was underneath said watch. "A… deck?" He said, confused as he picked up the key and put it back his neck.

He looked at the top card, seeing a strange card. Its colours were blue, like Ritual Monsters, but didn't have any levels. Around the art of the card were multiple arrows, with four them orange. He read the card's name.

"Borreload Dragon?"

Before he could think any further upon what happened, he was interrupted by the shouts from the TV, indicating Yuya won his Duel, using something called Pendulum Summon. "What the hell?"

Also yes, Tohya is Tohya Ebata from Vanguard Overdress. When I saw this man, I immediately thought 'You look like if Yusho and Yoko had an actual kid'. Him having a pendant around his neck and having his name rhyme with Yuya did not help.
