Dusk watched the agitated male pace the small confinement of the office. "Settle Slade." Slade stop pacing to glare at Dusk. "Settle, I cannot settle knowing these recruits are needed for the new task force we are forming ourselves. And they need better training than what they've got, it's important Dusk! We nearly lost Sal; can you imagine the hell our young would face if Merciless found out!?" Dusk ground his teeth at the mention of Merciless, he still suffers night terrors. Before anything else could be said a small copy of Slade burst into the room with an aspirated Dr. Trisha behind.

"Sorry, he heard you talking, took off before I could stop him." Slade picked Forrest up ruffling his sandy brown hair. Watching father and son Dusk stood. "It's settled then, I will go to Homeland and train the recruits myself." Slade looked at Dusk surprised with a mixture of gratefulness. "You will, are you sure?" Dusk nodded looking at Forrest. "I owe him everything, he saved me when everyone was ready to give up on me. Beside this will help me to learn to be around more humans." Slade smiled proudly at his son who'd bravely slipped into Dusk's room in medical looking for his mother. Finding a feral Dusk instead, they bonded almost instantly, eventually the family accepted Dusk into their family. "If you're sure I will get a hold of Justice, you can return once you are done." Dusk nodded at Slade, touching Forrest's nose. "I will pack immediately. I do not wish to ride in the metal bird, if that is fine. I must leave now." Slade sat Forrest down stepping to his desk picking up the phone. "Of course, I'll arrange you a ride there."

Leaving Dusk packed his belongings and met the human waiting to drive him to Homeland. "Hello Dusk, ready to go?" Dusk sat his bag in the very back. "Hello Jamie, please stop by Slade and Dr. Trisha's first." Nodding Jamie got in and drove over to their house, getting out Dusk stop at the passenger window. "I will only be a minute." Jamie waved at his words. "No worry, Dusk, I'll wait here."

As soon as Dusk shut the door Forrest leapt from his hiding place to wrap around Dusk. "Why do you have to go Dusk!?" Dusk wraps his arms around little Forrest hugging him. "Because little Forrest, bad people hurt Salvation's mother and nearly hurt him. I want to be sure it never happens again." Forrest began to tear up. "Are you going to go protect them?" Dusk nodded at Forrest's question. "Yes, but I go to teach others how to protect them better, I will be back." Forrest looked Dusk in the eyes. "Promise?" Dusk nodded, sitting the small boy back on his feet. "You are family, I promise." One last glance at Forrest, Trisha, and Slade, Dusk left the house getting into the back of the SUV. Jamie drove them to the front gate as Dusk settled in for the long drive to Homeland.

"Once we clear the front gate, we'll be on the road a few hours before we reach Homeland. Just got to battle through the idiot Haters and the crowd is thick today." Dusk sigh watching the humans act like rabid animals shouting and acting stupid. He wished they would just leave his people alone; they'd suffered enough already for a lifetime. The crowd was so thick that only half of the SUV cleared the last gate before getting swarmed on each side. Shouting hatred and rocking the vehicle

"ABOMINATIONS!"

Dusk grips his handgun as he hears his people. "Step away, let the vehicle through, now!" Took the guards getting the hose to spray a few before the group reluctantly let the SUV pass, Jamie laughed. "I guess they didn't appreciate the free bath." Dusk settled back again as Jamie drove, several miles from Reservation Jamie pointed out.

"Might be nothing but I think we've got a tail." Dusk growled looking out the back window to find a dark blue Jeep gaining on their rear. Realizing they intend to ram them Dusk jerk back around. "SPEED UP! They intend..." Dusk didn't get to finish before the Jeep connected with the SUV's rear, the impact cause Jamie to swerve. Curing Jamie fought to get the vehicle under control when they struck again. "Get us out of here." Jamie cursed again at Dusk's demand. "What do you think I'm trying to do!?" Dusk just snarled as he upholstered his gun intent on killing the keep's engine when they were rammed again. A loud pop followed by an unholy sound of metal scrapping across the asphalt, Jamie fought harder to keep control over the SUV while cursing profusely. The unrelenting Jeep took the opportunity to ram them in the side this time. The SUV flipped hitting the guard rail, busting straight through the metal rolling down the steep side of the mountain.
