Kaladin told Impa he'd calmed the villagers down, and she said,"That's good, though I fear that the Yiga aren't done here yet."

"I'd figured out that the heirloom must have been meant to open a shrine for the hero. Impa and I would have gifted it to you, M-m-master Kaladin. Now we can't. Even though the orb was stolen, I don't feel safe yet. Will you guard me today? Maybe we'll find a clue as to who the traitor is," Paya said nervously. And Kaladin suspected that it wasn't entirely about the Yiga.

Kaladin looked over to Impa, who nodded. If Paya wanted someone to follow her around for the day, Kaladin would do it. He was strongly starting to dislike the Yiga, since everyone seemed so scared of them.

Kaladin accepted, and spent the day tailing Paya. It was just as dull as he thought it would be. The woman spent half the day praying to one statue or another. How pious did one need to be? Despite all that, Kaladin saw that Paya was kind, and all the villagers loved her. When Impa was gone, Paya would do well leading in her place. Finally, Paya settled down for the night, and Kaladin walked out to stand guard by the building's door. There really weren't any other entry points.

A few minutes to ten, according to the sheikah slate, Kaladin heard a noise outside. He didn't want to leave his post, but it would probably be more important to solve the problem, then guard against it, in the long run. Besides, there were two other guards. Impa may not have known who to trust, but it wasn't likely that both were corrupt. The sheikah seemed pretty honorable, at least to him.

Kaladin crept out of the house, and sure enough, someone was sneaking off into the woods. It was one of the guards. The other was asleep, and Kaladin thought about waking him up, but really didn't want to miss his chance. Instead, he saw Pikango, who was still awake for some reason. Kaladin caught his eye, and Pikango nodded. Kaladin didn't know what the man would do, but at least someone was watching. He chased after the missing guard.

A little ways into the woods, on the opposite side of the fairy, Kaladin stumbled upon the guard, and someone else meeting in a clearing. He ducked behind some trees and wished he was a Lightweaver. The other man was wearing a creepy mask, and a bright red shirt. He was holding a nasty looking sword. The heirloom was nearby.

"This is what you get for leaving the fellowship. You knew the consequences. And thanks for the Sheikah ball, which I'm sure will be a great help. You've done your part, step aside," the figure said menacingly.

The guard stood his ground,"No, you can't have it."

"Very well then, I will dispatch you shortly. But first I need to deal with the eavesdropper."

The Yiga, Kaladin presumed, spun and lept towards Kaladin, a shockwave of some sort coming from his sword. Kaladin dodged, yanked out his spear, and the fight commenced. The Yiga was bulky, but faster than Kaladin expected. The fight was long, and hard. Kaladin managed to break two spears and a short sword. His stormlight was almost gone. But Kaladin prevailed, and managed to wound the Yiga pretty badly, a slightly less than fatal slash above the abdomen.

"You haven't seen the last of me!" The Yiga said, as he disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

Kaladin turned to the frightened guard. "That's what they all say. I've yet to see anyone I've fought again, or lose to them. You're safe now. Wait, I don't think I know your name."

"Dorian. Thank you. I thought that was my death. Nobody is ever willing to stick up for a former Yiga, at least, once they know." Dorian gestured to the heirloom. "I think if you place it on the pedestal, a shrine will appear. You should probably do it before another Yiga comes. Thank you, again, you saved my life. I'll leave you to it." Dorain walked off, back towards the woods.

Kaladin decided that he could do a shrine quickly, before heading back to the inn for sleep. Not that he would have slept anyway. Dorian reminded him too much of his men, and the Yiga of the Pursuer. Those thoughts always led to dark places. Dark times.

Kaladin dragged the ball to the pedestal. He lept back when the base activated, because a shrine started to rise out of the ground. When he walked inside, there weren't any sharp objects, or swinging metal spike balls. Instead, there was only a shrine chest, and the monk. Kaladin opened the chest to find a strange bow.

Zelda's voice popped into his head. "That's a phrenic bow! Their making has been lost for centuries, so that's a rare find. They supposedly allow a person to shoot far away targets like they're close."

Kaladin called out,"Not even a hello? How are you still awake? It's two in the morning."

"By virtue of my powers, I don't sleep. It's sad really, holding off Ganon isn't particularly interesting you know. I miss it. Sleep."

"Me too. I miss sleeping through the night. I rarely do anymore."

"That's too bad. Why are you up at two am anyway?"

"Yiga. Who are they anyway?" he said, but Zelda's voice didn't respond.

Kaladin walked up the dais in the middle of the shrine. The monk said,"You have proven your worth in finding this shrine. I grant you my blessing. May Hyrule smile down on you."

Kaladin claimed the spirit orb and was teleported out.

After a night of restless sleep, Kaladin got directions to an area to the north called Zora's Domain from a few townspeople. He'd tackle the divine beast there first.
