Kaladin had heard rumors of another sheikah tech inventor who lived in far north Akkala and he couldn't help but be curious about who the inventor, Robbie, was since Purah had mentioned a counterpart up north. After Hudson and Rhondson's wedding, he stayed a night at Kapson's inn, with plans to explore in the morning.

The next day, he hiked to east Akkala stable. Kaladin got directions at the stable, and soon stumbled upon the inventor's house. There was an ancient flame furnace outside, unlit. Kaladin knocked on the door as it started to dump rain outside, on the level of a weeping. Someone, presumably Robbie, called for Kaladin to come inside.

Inside, there was a strange mechanical device, with something like a face. A woman in her mid-thirties was in the entryway. A white haired man came down the stairs. The device in the center of the room made a strange, almost musical noise.

Robbie said,"You aren't from around here are you? The name's Robbie." The weird noise played again, as Robbie struck a pose of some sort. "What brings you to Akkala's ancient tech lab?"

"My name is Kaladin. I was curious about what you do up here. Oh, and Purah says hi."

"So you know Purah. Well, any friend of hers is a friend of mine." Robbie was now holding a wrench, as if he was going to fight with it, though his posture was relaxed. "Where did you get that sheikah slate? Princess Zelda had the only one."

The lady on the other side of the room called out,"That doesn't mean anything, you old buzzard. Let the man tell his story."

"That would be my wife, Jerrin." Robbie set down the wrench. "So who are you really?"

Kaladin pulled out the slate to show Robbie, and explained how he had ended up in Hyrule. Robbie was suspicious, but accepted his story once Kaladin lashed himself into the air.

"Well, since you came all the way up here, I might as well show you what Cherry can do."

"Cherry?"

"My ancient device."

Robbie struck another pose. Cherry made a funny noise.

Robbie dropped his arms dejectedly. "I forgot. The ancient furnace outside went out just yesterday, and a moblin camp has sprung up on the path to the ancient flame. I'm old. I don't think I could fight off moblins." Robbie leaned in closer and said,"And my wife, Jerrin, is jealous so she refuses to help." He straightened up. "But until the furnace is lit again, I can't turn on Cherry."

That meant that the strange noises probably weren't coming from Cherry. Which was bizarre. "I'll go. Just show me the path."

Robbie pointed Kaladin to the flame, and told him to hurry. The rain had just stopped, but north Akkla was due for another downpour in an hour.

As Kaladin jogged to the ancient flame, he asked Syl,"Did you hear the strange noise whenever Robbie posed?"

"Actually, I was going to ask you about that, but didn't want to sound crazy. I have no idea what causes the noise," Syl said.

"I don't either. I guess we'll just be crazy together."

Kaladin ran to the flame, dodging moblins, and quickly lit a torch. He had to sneak around the moblins, since he hadn't wanted to fly and dodge arrows at the same time. Kaladin made it back with the blue flame successfully. When Kaladin walked inside, Cherry glowed and seemed to be active.

Robbie noticed Kaladin walk in and said,"Cherry is alive again, through my love." As an afterthought he added,"And your help. Thank you."

It said in a mechanical voice,"Welcome, familiar name missing. What can I do for you today?"

"Cherry can create ancient weapons, like armor and arrows. They work particularly well on guardians. Do you have some ancient parts on you?" Robbie asked hopefully.

Kaladin pulled out a few of the screws that had come from guardians, which he'd collected after their defeat. "Will these do?"

Robbie nodded. "Good, stick three of those in, and Cherry will output three ancient arrows. The rest of the materials are already stocked."

Kaladin fed the screws into Cherry's mouth, and sure enough, a few minutes later, three ancient arrows popped out of her bottom tray. He'd discovered that firing one of those at a guardian usually caused the thing to explode. They were a rare find though. He was glad to have a few on hand.

Cherry said,"Have a nice day, familiar name missing."

"Come back anytime you want to. If you have the parts, Cherry can make anything. And bring your rupees. All this equipment does not pay for itself."

Jerrin stopped Kaladin. "I'm researching shrines and I noticed that there is a shrine on the east eye of Skull Lake. I can see it sometimes with the telescope on a clear night, since it's so high up. Those shrines are for the hero, right? What's inside anyway?"

Kaladin wasn't really sure how to answer that. How was he supposed to explain talking to a dead monk? So he simply said,"They're full of trials for the hero, like fighting guardians and stuff. I really don't know that much about them."

Jerrin accepted the answer, and the conversation died off. Kaladin excused himself, and teleported back to his house in Hateno. It had been a long day.
