An ear-piercing shriek emanated from a large cocoon hanging from the ceiling in the center of the room. Kaladin didn't know what to do, so he held Syl in shard spear form high, and waited.

Zelda spoke in his head frantically saying,"I can't hold…as long…He's…I'm…"

The cocoon dropped, and the center of the room fragmented. He fell down a long tunnel, and barely lashed himself up when he was two feet from the floor. He landed gently a few feet to the left of the hole in the ceiling.

The thing from the cocoon-which he presumed was Ganon-landed in front of Kaladin and let out another shriek. He looked like the mixture between an Unmade and some technological disaster. Four unnatural limbs protrude from something like a spider's body.

A beam of light came down and fired steadily on Ganon. Kaladin hadn't watched, it was so bright, but he heard Ganon crying out in pain. He almost sounded heartbreaking, in the way he groaned, but Kaladin hadn't felt any pity. He had hurt Hyrule far too much.

When the light subsided, it was dazed for only a moment before one of the limbs shot forward. Kaladin barely jumped out of the way. He breathed fire, and while Kaladin ducked, he had to use stormlight to heal a painful burn on the back of his neck. Whatever that light was (which he thought might have come from the champions and their Divine Beasts) hadn't damaged the Calamity too much. Ganon seemed weakened, but not enough. Kaladin knew there was still a fight coming.

The two circled each other, trading blows. Kaladin deadened the tip of one of Ganon's limbs. He gave Kaladin a nasty gash in his side, which he healed. His stormlight supply was pretty big, but every time he healed, he could feel it drop. Ganon swung at his head, he dodged and swung at Ganon's feet. Ganon backed away and breathed fire. Kaladin activated Daruk's blessing, and the orange shield protected him. Kaladin fell into a rhythm. Step, step, jab. His blows rarely damaged its armored body, but sometimes he hit an appendage.

This continued for a while, the careful exchange of blows and dodges until Ganon climbed up on the wall. And started breathing fireballs in his direction. Kaladin jumped to the side of a fireball, but was badly singed by another. He healed the worst of it, but was still left with a painful mark. His stormlight was half of the way gone, and he needed to save some for emergencies. The fight continued to drag on.

Kaladin got smart and launched a bomb at the monster. Ganon shrieked and came off the wall. Duck under, attack there. Don't get hit. He was bloodied now, and the old wound in his leg was hurting again, leaving him to limp. Two of the fingers in his left hand throbbed like they were broken, and he could feel blood dribbling down his forehead. His stormlight was almost gone, so he stopped healing anything non-critical. Daruk's blessing had stopped working, and he hadn't even bothered with Urbosa's since it seemed to use stormlight. Another blow or two, and he'd be dead. Even the Sylspear looked battered. But victory was close. Ganon layed on the ground now, three of his four limbs deadened. He tried to breath fire but couldn't, instead letting out a moan. It'd be a mercy to end Ganon now, but Kaladin couldn't get close. His last limb was vicious in defending itself. They stood in silence for a second, and then Kaladin took a step forward.

Suddenly he was in the field outside Hyrule castle. A large, purple, and four legged beast stood to the side of him. Zelda spoke in his head, weakened but confident. "He has given up on resurrection, and has instead entered his true, enraged form. That is Beast Ganon." Kaladin looked down, and he was holding a bow glowing with golden light. "The bow is the bow of light, which I have summoned for you with my powers. Its heavenly light will counteract Ganon's darkness. On my cue, I'll open weak points…"

Kaladin felt dizzy, and collapsed. He breathed in the last of his stormlight, but it wasn't enough for more than a millisecond's burst of clarity. Zelda's words were in his head, but he couldn't comprehend them. He felt so weak. The Sylspear disappeared.

Syl looked down at his face. "Are you okay? Please don't die, Kaladin. Don't leave me," she said, pleading.

Suddenly strong, cold hands lifted him up. The jolt shook him badly.

"Careful!" a familiar Zora's voice shouted. "He looks like he's in critical condition. Set him over there."

Then Sidon was looking down at him. "Hold still. You're going to be okay." The prince flashed a smile, but his usual confidence was missing.

A blue light came over Kaladin and he blacked out.
