In the Name of King Arthur

Infirmary of the Imperial Palace, Sol Dimension
Built on a lone island, the Palace of the Sol Empire bore large white structures with conical, flat roofs that were mainly purple or gray which held up large gray spheres with golden spear-like attachments on top of them. It was here that the Imperial Princess herself, Blaze the Cat, resided and ruled her empire justly with the aid of various ministers. However, as night approached her side of her world, Blaze was surprised to see her unconscious friend from another dimension, Sonic the Hedgehog, literally crash land into her garden.
Taking the blue hedgehog to the Palace's infirmary, Blaze, and her gray-furred koala assistant, Gardon, waited by Sonic's side for him to recover, and were shortly joined by the adventurous raccoon that Sonic introduced them to in his last visit to the Sol Dimension, Marine, who was pretty concerned to see their mutual friend in such a state. Thankfully, as night passed the three and the crack of dawn followed, Sonic began to stir from his unconsciousness.
"Princess," Gardon declared with enthusiasm that, in Blaze's eyes, matched perfectly with his sky blue uniform, "He appears to be waking up!"
"Ahoy, Sonic," Marine brightly cheered near the hedgehog's infirmary bed. An orange-furred, pigtailed raccoon with sky blues, she wore a lime green tube top, short black leggings, tan gloves, and lime green/orange shoes. However, while Blaze knew she could not blame Marine's loud voice that went with her happy expression, the lavender-furred cat also knew that such volume from her and Gardon would probably be too much for a recovering Sonic.
"Calm yourselves, everyone," Blaze softly chided the two before turning her golden eyes to Sonic as he slowly stood up on the bed. Showing a pleasing smile to her friend, she said, "Greetings, Sonic. I trust you are well?"
Once the hedgehog's eyes were wide enough, he turned to Blaze in genuine confusion and asked, "Who is this 'Sonic' you are referring to, Sir Percival?"
Momentarily stumped as his Princess and Marine were, Gardon ultimately replied, "Who's Sir Percival?"
Sonic, as Blaze was sure the hedgehog before was, laughed heartily before answering Gardon's question, "Why the lovely knight in the proper attire to match her fur and red forehead gem, my good fellow!"
"Percival can be a girl's name as much as a boy's," Marine quietly whispered to Gardon, who was just as befuddled as she was.
Blaze, on the other hand, fought back the arising blush on her face at Sonic's compliment of her, and instead focused on a different part of what he said previously. "What do you mean by 'knight?' You should be aware that I'm the Imperial Princess here."
Vacating the bed, Sonic directed his gaze on Blaze unsurely before showing an expression of realization. "Ah," he exclaimed in surprise with delight added altogether, "a fellow royal!" He then made a polite bow that neither Gardon or the girls could believe was coming from him of all people. "My apologies then, Your Imperial Highness," he said before taking Blaze's hand and leaving a kiss on it. Not noticing Blaze's embarrassment as well as Marine's restrained giggles at the former's expression, the hedgehog then straightened up and said, "I am Arthur, King of Camelot. May I ask how far your homeland is from mine?"
At the identity mistaken Sonic's words, Blaze, Gardon, and Marine all stared at him with lowered jaws in a way that the young raccoon could only summarize in one word. "Crikey."

As soon as "Arthur" was ready to leave the infirmary, Blaze and her attendants did what they could to make the hedgehog comfortable while trying to coax his memories as Sonic to reemerge. Unfortunately, while "the King" welcomed their good service, he was dead set on differentiating himself from Sonic despite all their attempts to jog his true personality.
After a while, Marine admitted to Blaze her doubts if their guest was indeed Sonic, but the Princess could tell that the two were indeed the same person. She had half a mind to send him back to Earth while accompanying him there, but decided to hold back until his true self was restored. There was no telling if a crisis was brewing there or not, and Blaze was not sure that the planet would look familiar to "Arthur" as it would to Sonic.
When telling stories of Sonic's exploits in addition to serving chili dogs had no effect on "Arthur's" mental state, Blaze decided to challenge him to a friendly race around the island to see if it would bring Sonic back. If that did not happen, then she would attempt to use the Sol Emeralds' power as a last resort.
Once their race concluded in a tie due to "Arthur" learning, or rather, relearning the basics of his super speed as well as his courteous desire to give Blaze an edge, the feline princess then approached "the King" and asked him, "How are you feeling, King Arthur?"
Turning to her with a bright smile, the hedgehog replied, "I daresay that I feel enlightened, my dear princess!"
Quickly hiding her frown that Sonic had not regained his memory still, and actually wondering if her calling him by the name he chose was what derailed the attempt, Blaze asked, "In what way, Your Majesty?"
Smiling meaningfully, "Arthur" said, "It's more a question of 'who' than 'what,' my dear Blaze." While Blaze was caught off guard by the hedgehog's sentence, he then added, "For you see, I believe I have found my queen!"
"What," Blaze stammered in shock as many others surrounding them either gasped in Marine's case or downright fainted in Gardon's.
Paying their audience no mind, "Arthur" bent his knee in front of Blaze, took her hand in his, and said with genuine adoration, "Blaze, will you become my bride?"
As the blue hedgehog then proceeded to kiss Blaze's hand for a long time, the cat was in an internal frenzy. While she did like Sonic as a friend and perhaps could view him as more than a friend, Blaze knew that he was definitely not in the right state of mind. With her decision made, she then shouted aloud, "I need the Sol Emeralds now, please!"

Probably the best I can to pair up Sonic with Blaze at the moment, but if anyone has a good idea to add on to this, I will not judge.
As I am sure those of you who play Sonic games and read IDW Sonic comics will realize, this takes place in IDW Sonic Issues 30 to 32 where Sonic loses his memory for a brief time, but instead of believing he is "Mr. Needlemouse," he equates himself to his role in Sonic and the Black Knight as King Arthur of Camelot.
Honestly, the Needlemouse plotline would have been nice to see in more issues, but considering that IDW already went that route with Doctor Eggman's "Mr. Tinker" phase way earlier, I can understand why they quickly moved on from that.
