Chapter 1 Crash landing and Death

It was a lovely sunny day in the middle of July in the sky above the Savannahs of Africa. A British Airway Aeroplane zooms into the air at about 500 mph to reach its destination of Kenya. While most of the famous African birds flap out of the way of it, not knowing what this strange creature is.

As I look out the window of my 2nd class seat on the plane, a window seat. Which I was glad about so I could look outside. Then, watch the madness of human life, from men in suits typing on laptops to families with young kids shouting at the top of their lungs. I sighed! Sometimes I wish I didn't live in the metal jungle. I prefer to be around animals than humans.

As I looked out of the plane's window, I looked in delight at the beauty and freedom the Savannah gave off as it was untouched by humanity mostly! As it should be! I thought to myself as I kept looking at the miles of golden grass with few blue dots. Which were the water wholes, from looking down from the sky from the aeroplane.

"It's so beautiful," I said as I looked outside the plane window.

While still watching the tiny dots of animals grazing on the ground, carrying out their everyday lives.

" Hey, Stu, how much longer is it to the airport? " Said a male voice to the right of my seat.

I turn around to talk to the voice of one of my close friends, Colin. Who was like me, a Manchester United FC fan? I turned around, smiling at him, to respond to his question.

"About an hour? I think until we reach Kenya, restart our lives and escape the madness of our past lives!" I said to him, laughing with gladness as I passed a hand through my messy red-brown hair.

Sitting next to Colin was my other close friend Jamie! Colin and Jamie had agreed to help me make my dream of running a Restaurant /Animal rescue park, which was about to come true. But then my goal was about to become a nightmare! We were heading to Africa to set up My dream job.

"BANG BOOM", the sound of a colossal explosion happened outside, which shocked the plane like it was in an earthquake, as the force sent a few people flying out of their seats. At the same time, the staff fell over with a hard crash from walking up the ale.

"What the hell!" I heard Colin yell in shock and fear over the noise of the screams of terrified people on the plane. As Jamie tries to help other people to calm others down, telling them it would be ok.

As I looked outside the window again, instead of beauty, I saw hell and the cause of the explosion. Two of the plane engines were on fire, most likely caused by a bird hitting it and getting sucked into the engines.

It was all happening quickly for my friends and me as I heard the other people's shouts and screams of fear. The crew tried to calm the people's nerves the best they could. As I looked at my friends, we then started to hold each other hands as we prey to anyone to keep us and everyone safe on the plane.

While the crew told everyone to get into the crouch position as the plane nose-dived from the lack of control due to the damage. Before long, I blacked out from the force of the free-falling plane!

Two hours later, after I blacked out, I groaned in pure pain as I opened my eyes and gasped in shock at what greeted me. What once was a state of an art aeroplane was now scrap metal scatted over the Savannah along with the dead bodies of the passengers of the said plane.

I felt like I was going to throw up at what greeted me, young and older people dead, tossed like dolls around me. The smell of blood was in the air, covering the grass around the dead bodies. It was like we were just in a bloody war and not in a plane.

"OMG," I thought to myself.

After trying to get over the shock of the death around me, I remember Jamie and Colin were right next to me on the plane. I was praying that they were ok.

"Colin Jamie, you ok," I asked, turning around to see something I never wanted to see.

In their seats, still holding on to each other hands, I lifted my hand, which was covered in blood. Colin's neck looked to be snapped from the crash's force. Jamie and Colin were dead! A pipe had come to lose and had speared Jamie in the stomach.

Their bodies were cake in the blood from other cuts on their body from the crash, and I couldn't believe 2 of my close friends were dead. Now they were gone forever, and there was only one thing that I could say.

"Nnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" I shouted with rage, anger and sadness at the death of my friends.

It took about 1hr to get out of my seat because of my badly beaten body.

Blood covered my face from the many cuts from the crash, but I didn't care. As I got the dead bodies of Colin and Jamie out of the plane, I started digging their graves for them.

While feeling guilty that I couldn't do it for all the bodies, the risk of staying and getting attacked wasn't an option. Once I found a human tribe, I would give them all graves to rest in, in respect for them and their families.

I then placed my friends into the graves, putting soil to cover their bodies and praying for them and the others before I sent a glare to the sky.

"I bet you find this funny, a game for you, hey God", I snared, angry, as I walked away from the graves.

I grunted in pain from cuts and bruises on all my body from the crash, but I knew I must get going. I bought a first aid kit, water, my knife set that I found at the crash site, a towel, and some matches.

I had been walking for three hours, taking small sips of water, trying to make it last as I went through dead animal bones that looked like a strange graveyard. But from the pain my body was giving me, I didn't care much as I kept walking to find help.

I then came across another land which had life! All kinds of animals are running around. Some ran in fear seeing me, but I was too weak to do anything as I walked on. I then saw three sets of eyes, and one was red. They also looked like the eyes of a Lioness. Which they were, standing in front of me; before I could react to any of this, I finally lost the last of my strength.

Before I blacked out, I thought I had heard a voice from one of the Lioness.

"Sarabi, what should we do with this Human?" asked one of the Lioness.

I then welcome the darkness.
