Don't Let Me Fade Into the Dark

It starts with a curse...when the Yaksha break their contracts they are cursed to be terrible and horrifying beasts. Aether is sent to hunt them down and bring them back to be locked up for all eternity. Xiao is on the run from the people who are hunting them and it is fate that brings them together. The darkness is growing but so are feelings and a change of heart.

*This is a Xiao and Aether story I've been crafting and hatching so like my other works, this is one is also for fun so don't judge the writing

***this is set in an alternate universe with the same name, major cities are still intact, and the same characters we've come to meet are in this story as well.

*****Think of this story as Genshin Impact meets Beauty and the Beast meets X-men. There are some things I have kept such as powers, and weapons.

******with this one I sat on the fence for the longest time on the lord behind the Yaksha and almost did a "fruits basket" crossover, considering there are 12 Yaksha's in total and all go off the zodiac. Hence why I've kept the Yaksha to keep their weapons since in Lore it is stated they are the only ones that carry weapons.

******This strays and goes completely off Genshin Lore! This is a FANFIC! Something that was randomly thought up and put into words as best as I can XD
