Percy after Annabeth's death, in a fight against Medusa, decided to enter the slayers. But Artemis decided to turn him into a girl so as not to cause problems for her hunters. Percy lived for several years in search of death, finding it by saving a huntress daughter of Athena from the Chimera (the only monster he managed to kill the first time). After her death Percy went to Elysium, where he met Annabeth and all his dead friends.
