Sonic and his friends meet a merhog named Selene, who tells them that Eggman is planning to unleash a creature called the Leviathan into the world before the next full moon. Can they stop him before it's too late? And why does Sonic feel... strange around Selene and vice versa? SonicOC. Rated T just to be safe.

[Prologue to "fractures between us"] Sonic isn't the first alternate version of the blue hero who Alt-Tails has met. He's the second. But that's the thing about Sonics, they're heroes so you want to trust them, they smile and it makes you think they actually care. However, Sonics only want one thing from Tails. It's just a shame he had to learn the same lesson twice.
