Mint Man Bail: Glad to hear it.

Godofwar01: Yes.
danlocke7: Yep.
OrkinEX78: Well, in Darksiders lore, the Horsemen earn the respect, fear and authority their presence commands due to having the power of the Seven Seals at their back, or so I think. At least, I think they are powerful due to the Seven Seals.
STARKILLE10R: Nah, the romance won't begin until they're like 14, just like in Son of Thor. At best, the romance will begin after Sea of Monsters but before Titan's Curse, the twim before then is just to develop Damian's relationships with certain characters.
3bodyjaa: Thanks.
Disclaimer: I do not own Darksiders or Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I only own the OC Damian Rider.
In the realm of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, two figures were fighting each other, sparks flying every time their weapons collided. One was none other than Death himself. He wielded his two scythes and smirked at his opponent behind his bone mask.
The opponent was a 12-year old boy who stood at 5'5. He had pale, yet fair skin, his eyes were an interesting type as they were orange-red with a hint of cyan-blue to them, a mixture of his parents' eyes. He had short black hair stopped behind his ears. He wore a faded black, 3/4-length, hooded leather coat with red interior linings and the British Union flag sewn on the left arm, a gray tank top, black fingerless gloves, black faded jeans and black military boots. In his hands were two golden scythes which were known as the Angel of Death scythes.
This was Damian Rider, the son of Death and Hera, the first demigod of Hera, and Horseman-in-training, though Damian secretly hoped his training will finish soon because his father, uncles and aunt promised that once that happens, they'll go and get him the important part of being a Horseman: A horse.
"C'mon, dad, don't tell me you're getting soft in your old age." Damian taunted his father with a smirk.
Death scoffed. "That your uncle Strife's words talking? Because I've heard the jokes... and I am not old, so watch your mouth."
Damian chuckled before he sent a scythe at Death who easily leaned back to duck it in a Matrix-style way. Once the scythe passed over, he leaned back up only to not see Damian where he had been. Death paused as he felt two blades touch the back of his neck.
"And that's another for me." Damian said.
"Oh really?" Death asked with a smirk underneath his mask and Damian looked down to see Death's scythes, always in reverse grip, the blades pressed against his chest and ready to slice if he were an enemy.
"Okay... it's a draw then." Damian said as he backed up and sheathed his scythes at his hips. as did Death.
"You're doing well though, Damian." Death said, putting a hand on his son's shoulder. "Not many, barely any actually, have been able to trick me and get behind me with a weapon that can kill me easily. You'll make a fine Horseman when the time comes."
"I hope it's soon though." Damian said with a sigh.
"Don't rush yourself, sweetie, you'll get there." A female voice said, getting the duo's attention.
Father and son looked over at the female voice to see Hera, Death's wife, standing there and watching the two with fond amusement.
Since Death saved her from those rapists and brought her to the realm of the Four Horsemen 19 years ago, Hera is the only Olympian that knew of where the Horsemen were located and hadn't blabbed to her family about it as she know Zeus sees them as a threat to his rule due to his paranoia, even though the Horsemen serve the Balance. Anyway, after bringing her to their realm, Death let Hera sleep there to get rid of her hangover before she was introduced to War, Strife and Fury who were all curious as to why Death brought her here.
They never thought he was the type to do so, well Strife worded it differently and nearly got his head taken off by a scythe.
Hera grew a friendship with the Horsemen when they didn't want her dead or even kicked out since they were bored at the time and were curious on Death's interest in her even though the Reaper made it clear he was just bringing her to their realm because she was drunk rather than leaving her to be taken advantage of by Man. Strife teased Death again and nearly got killed for it. Hera would visit them in her free time, making sure none of the other gods, especially her husband, know of where she goes. She grew close to Death, somehow manging to get past the cold, hard exterior of the Reaper, and found herself falling in love despite being the Goddess of Marriage and faithful to Zeus all this time.
What convinced Hera to give Zeus a taste of his own medicine and pursue a relationship with the Pale Rider was when he called Zeus an "arrogant blind fool who would rather satisfy himself with mortal women than see he had the perfect woman by his side" and that she deserved someone who would treat her as the queen she was.
Safe to say Hera had given Death a night he would never forget.
After that, they only grew closer, eventually marrying one another, and Damian was soon born from that union. Twelve years have passed since his birth now, and Hera was enjoying the secret family she had. She knew the laws prevented gods from involving themselves in their children's' lives, but in the Realm of the Horsemen, the ancient laws mattered not. So Hera got the change to feel like a wife, feel like a mother.
Damian showed much of his father's abilities with Necromancy and was trained by his father in that, and he even gained Death's near invulnerability, superhuman prowess, and accelerated healing.
"Hey Mom!" Damian ran up to his mother and hugged her, making her chuckle and hug her son back before kissing the top of his head.
"I suppose the time has come for him to go to this... camp?" Death asked with a frown underneath his mask. He'd rather his son not go to some camp where Zeus could smite him once he finds out who Damian is and who his parents are, but the Horsemen didn't need the Charred Council's agents sneaking around and finding out about Damian.
"Yes." Hera said with a nod. "Much as I would not want him to be there, I know he won't be a full-time camper there. Besides, he should be around other kids his age."
"Mom." Damian frowned at his mother.
"I'll have Dust go with him to keep an eye on him." Death said.
"Dad, I don't-"
"Yes, you do." Death gave him a look that made Damian shut up. One does not try to argue with Death and win the argument. "Go say goodbye to your uncles and aunt."
Damian sighed but nodded before heading inside. Death walked up to stand beside his wife and wrapped an arm around her waist.
"What troubles you?" he asked in her ear, making her shiver pleasantly.
"Do you think he's ready?" Hera asked. "To be a Horseman? For everyone to know who he is? Who his parents are?"
"Zeus will die slowly and painfully if he tries harming him." Death vowed. "Damian will be fine. I taught him, Strife, War and Fury taught him. Dust will keep an eye on him for us here, you can keep an eye on him from Olympus."
Earth
In a flash of light, Damian and Hera appeared in a woodland area. Dust, Death's familiar, arrived with them and landed on Damian's shoulder. "I teleported us close to Camp Half-Blood." Hera said. "it'll be a good place for you to stay and interact with kids your age."
She knew her son wouldn't stay fulltime, he'd be too curious for his own good and want to explore the world rather than stay in one place all the time. He only came to Earth a few times for school under Hera and the Horsemen's constant watch. So, so she knows he'll be close when he's not at camp, she'll give him a luxurious penthouse in the city that only someone born of royalty would live in.
A bit much, but Hera only wanted the best for her baby boy.
"I won't be able to stay around much anymore due to the laws now that you're on Earth. I'm lucky enough to not have anything happen to you in the years I helped raise you alongside your father." Hera said, bending to a knee and putting her hands on her son's face. "It will also be some time before I can claim you, until you can properly defend yourself against any threats Zeus will no doubtfully send after you."
"I can wait, Mom." Damian said, smiling at his mother.
Personally, Damian didn't really care about being officially claimed by his mother, he knew his mother loved him and didn't need to prove it to anyone else. If anyone tried challenging that, then he'll show them the power of the son of Death.
Hera smiled at her son, proud of his maturity. Leaning down, Hera kissed him on the forehead.
"I love you Damian, don't ever forget that." Hera said.
"I won't and I love you too, mom." Replied Damian.
Smiling, Hera stood up and her body started vanishing as she left for Olympus.
Damian sighed and looked at Dust. "Well Dust, it's you and me." Dust squawked and ruffled his feathers in response, getting a nod from Damian. "It'll be fun, but let's hope it isn't a waste of our time."
With that Damian walked forward with Dust flying off to lead the way and also keep a lookout for anything that might be an enemy.
Andromeda Jackson was having the craziest day of her life. She's been experiencing those a lot to be honest. Starting as far back as when she was in preschool and a snake slithered into the cot she was sleeping in, only for her to strangle it to death. Then in third grade, when a man in a black trench coat stalked her around the playground, only leaving when the teachers threatened to call the police. Though no one believed her when she said he only had one large eye underneath his wide-brimmed hat.
Then in fourth grade, during a trip to the aquarium, she accidently hit a lever on the catwalk, making her entire class take an unplanned swim with the fish. And in fifth grade she accidently fired an old war cannon at her school bus during a field trip to the Saratoga Battlefield. All of these resulted in Andromeda getting into trouble and getting into fights.
Each time, it ended with her being expelled, with her and her mother being forced to move while she switched schools. Though it didn't really help as Andromeda would always get into more trouble, with it not helping due to her ADHD and dyslexia.
Though things got even crazier at her most recent and now former school, Yancy Academy. Which wasn't entirely bad, as it's where she met and befriended Grover. Along with meeting the only teacher she respected and even cared about, Mr. Brunner. But it was at Yancy Academy, when things really became strange and crazy.
With it starting during a field trip to a museum when one of hers and Grover's classmates and resident bully, Nancy Bobofit, was picking on Grover. Having been doing the same on the bus to the museum, while Andromeda tried getting her to leave him alone. Only for water to suddenly rise up from the nearby fountain and pull Nancy into it. Something that shocked Andromeda, having no idea how it happened, but felt that she somehow caused it, despite not knowing how she did it.
But everyone thought she'd pushed Nancy into the fountain, which their pre-algebra teacher Mrs. Dodds believed before taking Andromeda back into the museum for a "talk". But then things got crazier when Mrs. Dodds turned into a monstrous and humanoid bat monster with claws and fangs. Before she then tried killing Andromeda, but not before making it sound like she's done something much worse.
Luckily, and even more strangely, Mr. Brunner then arrived and threw Andromeda a pen that turned into a sword when she took the cap off. With Andromeda simply doing the only thing she could think of and slashed Mrs. Dodds with the sword, causing her to explode into yellow powder, leaving the smell of sulfur in the air.
Things only became stranger when she left the museum and everyone didn't seem to even know who Mrs. Dodds was, believing their teacher was Mrs. Kerr, someone Andromeda knew she'd never seen before. While Mr. Brunner acted like Mrs. Dodds never existed and the pen sword he gave her was just a normal pen he'd lost.
That's how the rest of the school year went, with Andromeda trying to get people to slip up by mentioning Mrs. Dodds, believing that it was some kind of trick, only for everyone to think she was crazy. And she almost started believing it too, if it wasn't for Grover being a terrible liar, as well as overhearing Grover and Mr. Brunner talking about something involving her and "Kindly Ones". Then on the bus ride back home, Grover had given her a card for some place called "Half-Blood Hill", making her assume it was a summer home. Before the bus broke down across from an old-fashioned fruit stand with three old ladies sitting in rocking chairs under a tree, knitting the biggest pairs of socks she'd ever seen with electric blue yarn.
But when one of them took out a giant pair of gold and silver scissors, that looked more like shears, and tried cutting the yarn, possibly the strangest thing Andromeda saw happened. The scissors just suddenly dissolved into ash, something that seemed to shock and terrify the old ladies. Before they hurriedly gathered up the yarn and just vanished, as if they were never there to begin with. Grover had apparently also seen this and looked like the sky was falling down around them before ushering her back onto the bus.
Afterwards, Andromeda ended up ditching Grover at the bus stop and returned home, where she was further annoyed to find her stepfather, Gabe Ugliano or "Smelly Gabe" as she called him. Finding him playing a poker game and forced to give him the change she had left from her taxi ride. Thankfully, her mother returned home from her job at Sweet on America, with a huge bag of "free samples" for her.
With her mood lifting at learning they'd be going to the beach in Montauk, the same cabin they've been going to since she was a baby and where her mother apparently also met her father. But while Andromeda had been happy to go, once they arrived, she couldn't help but ask about her father and why her mother kept sending her away to different schools. The girl regretting saying it's because she didn't want her around, only for it to make her mother cry. Before she told Andromeda about a summer camp her father apparently wanted her to go to, while her mother believed if she went it would be forever.
Then to finish everything, Andromeda had a strange dream of two animals, a white horse and a golden eagle, on a beach trying to kill each other. While the ground shook as a voice came from underground, chuckling monstrously and encouraging the animals to keep fighting. Andromeda had tried running towards the animals to get them to stop fighting, but knew she'd be too late.
Only for everything to then start breaking apart around them as Andromeda and the animals found themselves suspended in the air above a massive, swirling void. One that the animals seemed to fear as they immediately stopped fighting and looked to bow to the void in subservience. While the voice from earlier cried out in fear and rage at the voids appearance, before fading away.
That's when Andromeda woke up to a storm raging on outside and twenty-foot waves hitting the dunes, her mother also waking up from a sudden thunderclap. Before they then heard someone pounding on the door, which was revealed to be Grover, who wasn't wearing pants and seemed to have fur-covered legs and cloven hooves.
Grover and Sally tried to explain, but also make it clear they needed to get to some camp. From what Grover said, some 'Lord of the Dead and his bloodthirsty minions' were after her.
However, the car was then flipped by something and landed on it's top, knocking out Grover but Sally and Andromeda were fine. Pulling Grover out of the wrecked car, they began running for a tall pine tree that led to this 'summer camp/ Sally was taking them too.
It wasn't long before they reached the crest of the hill, seeing a valley down below where they could see a farmhouse with lights on inside.
"This is as far as I can go Andie, you have to go the rest of way, just keep heading to the farmhouse and knock on the door, everything will be explained there." Sally said, making the ravenette's head snap towards her mother.
"What?! Mom no! I'm not going to leave you behind if something's out there!" Said Andromeda, refusing to leave her mother if there was something chasing them.
"Andie, I'm sorry, but I can't! I'm not like you, it's why only you and Grover can enter the camp. Please just-" Sally said, only to stop when they heard the sound of trees crashing and looked to see the creature that had flipped their car and had been chasing them.
The creature was seven feet tall, his arms and legs were like something from the cover of Muscle Man magazine, his skin was vein-webbed. He wore no clothes except bright white Fruit of the Looms underwear. His top half was of coarse brown hair that started at about his belly button and got thicker as it reached his shoulders. His neck was a mass of muscle and fur leading up to his enormous head, which had a snout as long as Andromeda's arm, he had snotty nostrils with a gleaming brass ring, cruel black eyes, and enormous black and white horns with points someone couldn't get from an electric sharpener.
"But that's..." Andromeda started to say with disbelief.
"Don't say his name." Sally told her as they backed away while the Minotaur closer, looking ready to destroy them. "Get to the camp! I'll distract him!"
"What? Mom no!" Andromeda shouted as her mother ran, drawing the Minotaur's attention to her.
The Minotaur charged at the woman and she tried to sidestep, but the Minotaur's hand shot out and grabbed her by the neck as she tried to get away. He lifted her as she struggled, kicking and pummeling the air.
"MOM!" Andromeda shouted with wide eyes.
Sally locked eyes with her daughter, and managed to choke out one last word. "Go!"
Then, with an angry roar, the monster closed his fists around Sally's neck, and she dissolved before Andromeda's eyes, melting into light, a shimmering golden form, as if she were a holographic projection. A blinding flash, and she was simply... gone.
"Mom..." Andromeda fell to her knees, unable to process that hehr mother was basically just killed before her very eyes. She was so lost that she didn't notice the Minotaur coming closer to her, raising it's arm to probably smash her into a pancake when suddenly it howled in pain, causing Andromeda to blink and her eyes to widen when she saw the Minotaur turn to reveal a scythe in it's back.
Another scythe came flying out the forest and struck the Minotaur through one of it's horns, causing it to howl in more pain while falling to a knee in surprise, clutching where it's horn had just been.
Suddenly, a boy ran out of the forest and leaped onto the Minotaur grabbed both scythes in the process, then started to slash them across the Minotaur's back before jumping off, stabbed one scythe into the Minotaur's eye while dragging the other across it's neck and it dissolved into golden dust afterwards while the boy landed on his feet without harm.
The boy grunted before he rolled his shoulders and head, then sheathed his scythes at his waist before turning to look at Andromeda, giving her a view of the boy and she had to admit... he was quite cute.
He was the same age as her, stood at 5'5.
"You okay?" The boy asked as he walked towards her, his orange-red eyes expression concern.
"I... I'm fine..." Andromeda said before she started to pass out, only for the boy to catch her in his arms.
"Woah!" Damian sighed as he caught the girl and looked to see the other boy, the one with the goat legs, unconscious not too far away. He had arrived in time to see the woman, the girl's mother, dissolve into golden dust. He regretted not being faster, or else he might've arrived in time to prevent that from happening.
As he shifted the girl in his arms, he took the chance to examine her appearance. She was the same age as him, with long black hair at the top, that changed to violet tips at the bottom, large ocean green eyes akin to emeralds that shined through her pale skin, wearing a dark blue long sleeve jacket over a gray hoodie, a violet t-shirt underneath, a blue skirt that hid her black sport shorts and lastly violet socks, worn under a pair blue and white running shoes.
'Huh, she's cute.' Damian thought with a blush. Sue him, he's never had much interaction with girls or thought of them like that, even in school. Although, ever since he turned twelve, his uncle Strife has been teasing him about eventually becoming interested in girls, which caused his aunt Fury to slap him upside the head.
Damian heard someone approaching and moved the unconscious girl to one arm while grabbing one of his scythes with the other, pointing it at two new figures who arrived and stopped upon seeing a weapon aimed at them.
The first was a centaur, though the human half was of a middle-aged man, with thinning brown hair, bushy eyebrows, intense brown eyes, and a scruffy beard.
As for the second person, it was a girl. The girl was twelve-years-old with long curly honey blonde hair, put in a ponytail, tanned skin, a slender and athletic body, and captivating storm grey eyes, that shined with curiosity and intelligence. Her attire consisted of black boots, navy blue jeans, an orange shirt with "Camp Half-Blood" on it and a pegasus, and a grey jacket over it. She also had a necklace, with several clay beads and a college ring on it.
"Who the hell are you two?" Damian demanded as he glared at them.
The centaur raised his hands in a placating gesture. "Easy there, we mean you no harm."
"Chiron, he's got to be the one." The girl said with excitement as she looked at Damian.
"Hush now, Annabeth." The one called Chiron scolded the now named Annabeth.
"One what?" Damian narrowed his eyes. "Is this Camp Half-Blood?"
"Are you a demigod?" Chiron asked, pulling a Shakespeare as he answered a question with a question, which was a little annoying to the son of Death as he slowly lowered his scythe and sheathed it.
"I am." Damian said.
"Then this is indeed Camp Half-Blood." Chiron said with a smile. "I am Chiron, trainer of heroes. This is Annabeth, daughter of Athena. And you are?"
"...Damian Rider." Was the only answer the Horseman-in-training was going to give as he picked Andromeda up bridal style. "Now, are we going to stand here all night and chat or can I get this girl and her friend somewhere safe?"
And that's it for this chapter. So yeah, Percy is instead a girl in this, which is what I did for my son of Thor story. I was always hesitant at that idea, but after trying it in Son of Thor, I figured I could make it work in another story and what better one that a Darksiders/Percy Jackson crossover, eh?
